hen using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed,

For indoor use only. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
Do not charge the unit outdoors.
Use only as described in this easy guide. Use only the manufacturer's recommended
attachments.
Do not use with a damaged cord or plug.
Do not abuse the cord. Never carry the charger or base by the cord or yank to disconnect

rom a mains socket; instead grasp the charger and pull to disconnect. Keep the cord
away from heated surface. Do not pull the cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not

lose the cord in a door.
Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
This product includes rechargeable nickel cadmium batteries. Do not incinerate batteries or
expose to high temperatur
es, as they may explode.
Unplug the charg
er from the mains before any routine cleaning or maintenance.
Do not place any objects in the openings on your vacuum.
Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair, and anything that may
reduce airflow.
Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of the body away from openings and
moving parts.
Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or

Do not use without the filter in place.
Do not pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in are

Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.

Place unit into the charging stand and plug into an electrical outlet.
When it is on char

ging light will come on. If this light does not come on, check
that the charging and the unit are properly connected. The unit can remain on charge for an
indefinite period without any danger of overcharging the batteries.
NOTE:
The indicator light will r
emain on to indicate that the appliance is char
ging. The
unit will be char
ged in 16-24 hours. The light will not change when the unit is charged.

1. Remove the unit from the charging stand.
2
. Turn the unit on by sliding the on/off switch on the top of the unit forwards.
3. To turn the unit off slide the on/off switch on top of the unit backwards.

. The attachments can be used by sliding into the front of the unit until secure.

1. Press the dirt container release button on the top of the unit and remove the dirt container
(
Fig 5/1).

. Pull out the filter.

. Empty the contents of the dirt container into a rubbish bin.
4. The dirt container and dirt container filter can be cleaned in lukewarm water (max 40°C).
Allow the dirt container to air dry fully for 24 hours before replacing back on the unit.
