Safety information
The safety of this unit complies with recognised techni-
cal regulations and the safety instructions effective.
We must, however, draw your attention to the following
safety information.
Compliance with these operating and installation in-
structions is a precondition for our warranty liability.
Electrical safety
Inspect the cooker hood for damage during transport.
Do not connect a damaged unit under any circum-
stances. Contact your supplier in the event of damage.
Never put the cooker hood into operation if the power
cable or operating screen is damaged.
The cooker hood must be fitted and connected accord-
ing to the instructions. The installation instructions de-
scribe everything required for this purpose.
Before putting into service ensure that the mains volt-
age and type of supply stated on the name-plate of the
unit correspond with the local power supply.
Repairs must be performed exclusively by one of our
customer service departments. Original spare-parts
must also always be used.
Conversions or modifications to the cooker hood are
not permitted for safety reasons.
Switch off the unit in the event of a fault, withdraw the
power plug from the socket.
Never withdraw the plug by pulling the cable.
Safety for children
Packing materials (e.g. foil, Styropor) can be danger-
ous for children. Danger of suffocation.
Keep packing materials away from children.
Safety during use
The cooker hood should only be used for ventilating
the cooking area. If the unit is used incorrectly or for
other than the intended purpose, the manufacturer
cannot accept any liability for possible damage.
Flambé-cooking under the unit is forbidden when
switched off or on (danger of fire).
Never use the cooker hood without fat filter.
In the event of subsequent relocation of the unit, exact
installation instructions can be ordered from our cus-
tomer service center by telephone.
If the unit is sold or passed to a third party, please en-
sure that it is transferred together with this manual, so
that the new user can obtain information about use of
the unit.
If the cooker hood is not supervised for a long time, e.g.
during holidays, ensure that the unit is switched off.
Safety during cleaning
Clean the fat filter regularly. There is danger of fire if
soiling is severe.
Check and clean the cooker hood regularly to avoid
costly repairs. Pay attention to the relevant section en-
titled ”Cleaning and servicing”.

Disposal
Packaging material
The packaging materials are environmentally
friendly and can be recycled. The plastic com-
ponents are identified by markings, e.g. >PE<,
>PS<, etc. Please dispose of the packaging
materials in the appropriate container at your
local waste disposal facilities.
Old appliance
The symbol on the product or on its packa-
ging indicates that this product may not be
treated as household waste. Instead it shall be
handed over to the applicable collection point
for the recycling of electrical and electronic
equipment. By ensuring this product is dispo-
sed of correctly, you will help prevent potential
negative consequences for the environment
and human health, which could otherwise be
caused by inappropriate waste handling of this
product. For more detailed information about
recycling of this product, please contact your
local city office, your household waste disposal
service or the shop where you purchased the
product.
Warning: Before disposing of old appliances
please make them inoperable so that they can-
not be a source of danger.
To do this, disconnect the appliance from
the mains supply and remove the mains
cable from the appliance.

The cooker hood can be fitted for two different
modes of operation:
Exhaust version
The fumes produced over the cooker are cleaned in
the fat filter and taken outside via an exhaust pipe.
Circulating air version
If the structural conditions do not permit an exhaust
pipe to be fitted, the exhaust system can be provided
with an additional activated carbon filter, which collects
bacteria and odours. The clean air is then returned to
the cooking area.
The carbon filter (7, 8, 9) is available as a special ac-
cessory.
Before using for the first time
Initial pre−cleaning
Clean the outer parts with a cloth moistened with a mild
detergent solution to remove possible manufacturing
traces.
Warning! Do not use sharp, abrasive cleaning
agents, which could damage the surface.

Operation of cooker hood
Switching on
The fan is switched on automatically to the preselected
position of the slide switch (2) by pulling out the exten-
sion (1), unless the switch is set fully left at position 0.
The air flow can be regulated with slide switch (2).

Push in extension (1) to stop, the fan is switched off.
Lamp
The lamp is switched on and off with slide switch (3).

Cleaning and servicing
Caution! Do not use sharp cleaning agents,
brushes, sponges which cause scratching or
abrasive sand.
External cleaning
Clean the external parts with a cloth moistened with a
mild detergent solution.
Cleaning the metal
filter
Warning!
There is danger of fire if these cleaning in-
structions are not observed!
Withdrawing metal filter
1. Press metal filter (5) up at rear and withdraw for-
wards.
Cleaning metal filter
2. Wash the metal filter (5) every 2 to 4 weeks in a
dishwasher or in a detergent solution, rinse while
hot and allow to dry fully.
Place filter in the dishwasher so that the water
can circulate well.
Discoloration of the filter is normal and does
not affect its function.
Replacing metal filter
3. Press metal filter (5) up at rear and engage at front.
Cleaning filter area
Clean the filter area with a mild detergent solution each
time the metal filter is changed or cleaned.

Cleaning the glass ex−
tension
Removing the glass extension
1. Pull out glass extension (1) to stop.
2. Press up the springs (7) fixed to the extension rails
(6) with the index fingers and carefully pull out the
glass extension (1).
Warning! Push extension rails (6) back in
(danger of injury).
Cleaning glass extension
3. Clean glass extension with a suitable glass clean-
ing agent.
Replacing glass extension
4. Pull out both extension rails (6) slightly.
5. Insert cleaned glass extension (1) in extension
rails (6) and push back until it engages with springs
(7).
Caution!: Check that the springs have en-
gaged correctly.
Changing the carbon in
the filter
provided the unit is fitted for circulating air operation.
Removing the carbon filter
1. Remove the metal filter.
2. Pull carbon filter down at front and remove.

Changing the carbon
Caution! The carbon of the filter should be
changed at least once annually.
3. Unscrew carbon filter.
4. Remove used carbon.
5. Fill with fresh carbon (Replacement carbon no.
009 424 024-29/8).
6. Screw up carbon filter.
Inserting carbon filter
7. First push carbon filter with seal on top into the stop
springs, then engage at front.
8. Insert metal filter.
Changing the lamps
Remove the power supply to the cooker
hood without fail. (Pull out plug or switch
off fuse.)
1. Lamp (3) slide switch at position 0.
2. Press front lamp cover up and remove downwards
at rear.
When replacing the lamp use the same model
(candle lamp 25 W E14).
3. Clean lamp cover if necessary in mild detergent
solution, dry well and replace: insert upwards at
front and push in at rear.
Ensure that the smooth surface of the lamp
cover points outwards.

If faults or defects cannot be eliminated with these
suggestions, please contact the customer service de-
partment.

Installation instructions
Safety information
Warning! The minimum safety spacing “D”
between cooking surface and hood is 500 mm
for electrical cookers and 700 mm for gas
cookers.
The unit must be disconnected from the power
supply for servicing purposes. Withdraw the
mains plug.
The general guidelines for operation of
electrical appliances, the regulations of the
relevant electricity supply company and the
information contained in these installation
instructions must be followed exactly.
Exhaust system
The steam and fumes produced above the cooker are
cleaned in the fat filters and taken outside through an
exhaust pipe.
Warning! The exhaust air must not be taken
to a smoke-stack if exhausts from other
appliances are present, which are not
electrically operated.
Sufficient ventilation must be ensured if steam
exhaust and appliances not operated
electrically are used together.
The cantonal fire prevention regulations must
also be observed.
Requirements for the exhaust
pipe
• Diameter 125 mm
• Smooth-walled exhaust pipe
• Optimum laying with as little air resistance as
possible
Caution! The air flow declines if these
requirements are not observed.

air
If no exhaust pipe can be fitted for structural reasons,
the cooker hood can be provided with an additional
activated carbon filter to retain bacteria and odours.
The cleaned air is then returned to the cooking area.
Caution! The damming flap must be removed
for circulating air operation, since otherwise
the cooker hood does not operate.
Dismantling the anti air flap
1. Set flap vertical.
2. Press on one side (1) and withdraw the other side
upwards (2).

Caution! Before the cooker hood is fitted, the
filter and glass extension must be removed
(see section ”Cleaning and servicing”).
Caution! Screws and studs are intended for a
wall thickness of min. 16 mm.
Caution! The hood must be secured to the
base with 6 screws and the specified studs (I,
II), 2 right and 2 left.
1. Mount appropriate plug
yellow-green = protection earth
blue = neutral

2. Mark holes in base on left and right with drilling
template.
3. Secure stud (I) with screw.

4. Raise cooker hood up to stud and insert in guide/
mount (as arrow).
5. Provide screw connection for fixing stud (II) im-
mediately without fail after engaging.
Caution! Fixing studs as shown in detail A
(countersinking to screw head).
Following lateral fixing of the cooker hood, the
upper fixing must also be performed.
6. Fasten the cooker hood to the upper cabinet
through the two oblong holes with the two screws
(4x12) supplied.
7. Insert connecting cable in socket provided.
Caution! The plug must be accessible after fit-
ting.
8. Push lamp housing (as arrow) up to wall.

Fitting the carbon filter
Applies only to circulating air operation.
Caution! All four springs must be used to en-
sure effective function.
1. Pull out extension (1).
2. Remove metal filter (5).
3. Insert stop springs (8) at rear right and left on longi-
tudinal side of outlet hole between sheet metal and
plastic case up to stop.
4. Insert detent springs (9) on front on narrow sides
of outlet hole between sheet metal and plastic
case up to stop.
5. First insert carbon filter (10) with seal up, at rear in
stop springs (8), then engage at front.
6. Insert metal filter (5).
Electrical connec−
tion/power supply
Warning! The electrical connection must be
provided by a licenced installation engineer.
Caution! The plug must be accessible after fit-
ting.
A socket must be provided. The length of the connect-
ing cable is approx. 1 m.
A cable type of at least H05RR-F should be provided
if the connecting cable is replaced (spare-part number
375 1515 00).
Installation of an exter−
nal air supply valve
It is possible to install an external air supply valve by
the electrical specialist.
Opening (B) in cover (G) together with the tension re-
lief is provided for connection of an external cable.
Connection by AMP plug 6.3 x 0.8 mm to terminals 5,
N, E and L depending on valve type (permanently line).

Standard guarantee conditions
We, Electrolux, undertake that if within 12 months of the date of the purchase this Electrolux appliance or any part
thereof is proved to be defective by reason only of faulty workmanship or materials, we will, at our option repair or
replace the same FREE OF CHARGE for labour, materials or carriage on condition that:
• The appliance has been correctly installed and used only on the electricity supply stated on the rating plate
• The appliance has been used for normal domestic purposes only, and in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions
• The appliance has not been serviced, maintained repaired, taken apart or tampered with by any person not au-
thorised by us
• All service work under this guarantee must be undertaken by a Electrolux Service Force Centre.
• Any appliance or defective part replaced shall become the Company’s property
• This guarantee is in addition to your statutory and other legal rights
Home visits are made between 8.30 am and 5.30 pm Monday to Friday. Visits may be available outside these hours
in which case a sur-charge will be made.
Exclusions
This guarantee does not cover:
• Damage or calls resulting from transportation, improper use or neglect, the replacement of any light bulbs or
removable parts of glass or plastic
• Costs incurred for calls to put right an appliance which is improperly installed or calls to appliances outside the
United Kingdom
• Appliances found to be in use within a commercial environment, plus those which are subject to rental agree-
ments
• Products of Electrolux manufacture which are not marketed by Electrolux
European Guarantee
If you should move to another country within Europe then your guarantee moves with you to your new home subject
to the following qualifications:
• The guarantee starts from the date you first purchased your product
• The guarantee is for the same period and to the same extent for labour and parts as exists in the new country
of use for this brand or range of products
• This guarantee relates to you and cannot be transferred to another user
• Your new home is within the European community (EC) or European Free Trade Area
• The product is installed and used in accordance with our instructions and is only used domestically, i.e. a normal
household
• The product is installed taking into account regulations in your new country
