Disconnect the connector -A-.
Turn the sensor -B- 90° in direction of -arrow- and remove it.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order while observing the
following.
Check the seal -C- for damage and proper seating.
Reinstall the removed parts in the opposite order.
Check the event memory of the front Air Conditioning (A/C)
display control head, the Climatronic Control Module - J255- ,
and erase any displayed malfunctions see Vehicle Diagnostic
Tester in the “Guided Fault Finding” function.
11.10 Right Footwell Vent Temperature Sen‐
sor - G262- , Removing and Installing
Removing
Move the right front seat (front passenger seat) as far back as
possible.
Turn off the ignition.
Remove the glove compartment, refer to Body Interior; Rep.
Gr. 68 ; Storage Compartments and Covers; Glove Compart‐
ment, Removing and Installing .
Remove the right footwell vent (front passenger side) -E-, refer
to
⇒ “8.4 Front Passenger Side Footwell Vent, Removing and
Installing”, page 608 .
Disconnect the connector -A-.
Turn sensor -B- 90° in direction of -arrow- and remove it from
right footwell vent -E- .
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order while observing the
following.
Check the seal -C- for damage and proper seating.
Install the removed parts in the opposite order.
Check the event memory of the front Air Conditioning (A/C)
display control head, the Climatronic Control Module - J255- ,
and erase any displayed malfunctions see Vehicle Diagnostic
Tester in the “Guided Fault Finding” function.
11.11 Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor -
G263- , Removing and Installing
Removing
Move the right front seat (front passenger seat) as far back as
possible.
Turn off the ignition.
Remove the glove compartment, refer to Body Interior; Rep.
Gr. 68 ; Storage Compartments and Covers; Glove Compart‐
ment, Removing and Installing .
Remove the right (front passenger) footwell vent, refer to
⇒ “8.4 Front Passenger Side Footwell Vent, Removing and
Installing”, page 608 .

Disconnect the connector -A-.
Turn sensor -B- 90° in direction of -arrow- and remove it from
the A/C unit mount -D-.
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order while observing the
following.
Check the seal -C- for damage and proper seating.
Insert the evaporator vent temperature sensor -G263- -B- into
the Air Conditioning (A/C) unit mount -D-.
Turn the evaporator vent temperature sensor -G263- -B- 90°
against the direction of the -arrow- to secure it in the mount.
Reinstall the removed parts in the opposite order.
Check the event memory of the front A/C display control head,
the Climatronic Control Module - J255- , and erase any dis‐
played malfunctions see Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in the “Gui‐
ded Fault Finding” function.
11.12 Left Rear Upper Body Vent Tempera‐
ture Sensor - G635- , Removing and
Installing
Removing
Move the left front seat (driver seat) all the way to the front.
Turn off the ignition.
Remove the left rear seat or rear bench seat, refer to ⇒ Body
Interior; Rep. Gr. 72 ; Rear Seats; Seat Bench/Single Seat,
Removing and Installing .
Remove the rear left door sills, refer to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep.
Gr. 70 ; Passenger Compartment Trim; Sill Panel Strip, Re‐
moving and Installing .
Remove the of the B-pillar and the left C-pillar lower trim, refer
to ⇒ Body Interior; Rep. Gr. 70 ; Passenger Compartment
Trim; B-Pillar Trim, Removing and Installing , and ⇒ Body In‐
terior; Rep. Gr. 70 ; Passenger Compartment Trim; C-Pillar
Trim, Removing and Installing .
