Eave Vent Installation

Steps:

1. NOTE: Any eave vent that uses a damper to close off the opening

must be installed in a horizontal level position in order for the damper to

close properly.

2. Determine the proper location for installation. Trace the outline of the

duct onto the exterior soffit. Drill a starter hole in the soffit, if using a hole

saw attachment then drill in the center of the traced hole. If using a jig

saw then drill the starting hole on the outside edge of the traced line.

Cut the hole so it is slightly larger than the duct, if you cut along the

outside of the traced line this will give you a nice snug fit.

4. Connect the tailpiece to the existing exhaust duct with appropriate

clamp and UL foil tape (not provided).

6. Install the tailpiece into the cutout hole while positioning the vent in

the direction you desire.

7. Attach the eave vent to the soffit with 4 wood screws in the holes

provided (screws not provided).
