About the 100Mbps LAN
The factory setting is 100Mbps Full Duplex.
If setting to Half Duplex, or resetting Full Duplex, perform the following:
Set to 100Mbps Full Duplex setting at /home/rc/local.a.
< When setting to 100Mbps Full Duplex (Factory setting)>
/usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 autoneg off
/usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth1 speed 100 autoneg off
Set any other connected devices or hub to 100Mbps Full Duplex.
If connected to a device that does not allow this setting, set the connected device to 100Mbps Half
Duplex.
< When setting to 100Mbps Half Duplex >
/usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex half autoneg off
/usr/sbin/ethtool -s eth1 speed 100 duplex half autoneg off
How to mount Read only
The damage of NAND Flash due to the power failure etc. can be reduced by changing to the setting into
which NAND Flash (/dev/mtdblock0) mount with read only after an installation and various settings of
the application are completed.
1) MC-300 is started, and MC-300 does serial connection by using the USB cable and logs it in.
<Default when factory is shipped> user : root, passwd : root
2) A front DIP switch (SW1) is turned on.
3) It reactivates.
# reboot
4) It presses return key by U-Boot, and the command of U-Boot is input.
5) The environmental setting is changed.
Marvell> setenv bootcmdra 'setenv bootargs console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/mtdblock0 ro
rootwait rootfstype=jffs2 mtdparts=nand_mtd:0x1BFE0000@0x4020000(mtdfs)rw'
The command of setenv is input by one line.
6) The setting is preserved.
Marvell> saveenv
7) It reactivates.
Marvell> reset
8) A front DIP switch (SW1) is turned off.
It will move from next time with read only when the above-mentioned is set.
Please set it by 5) as follows when you make the start default read/write.
Marvell> setenv bootcmdra 'setenv bootargs console=ttyS0,115200 root=/dev/mtdblock0 rw
rootwait rootfstype=jffs2 mtdparts=nand_mtd:0x1BFE0000@0x4020000(mtdfs)rw'
