Battery Installation :
1. Please install 2AA batteries.
2. Please replace batteries when you see the low battery indication.
Time Setting :
The radio uses 24 hours system.
1. Press the Clock button to switch between Clock 1 and 2.
2. Press the Time Set button , you will see the time blinking.
3. You can use the numeric key pads to enter the time directly or you can use Hour and Min button to
set the time.
Power On/Off
1. Power button – Press the Power button to turn on the radio. The radio will automatically enter into
Sleep mode for 90 minutes every time you power on the radio Press the Power button again for 2
seconds to turn off the radio..
2. Wake-to-Radio – Under the clock mode, press the AL Set button to turn on the function. The radio
will wake up at the preset time.

3. Sleep mode
(i) Under the clock mode, press the Power button to turn on the radio. You will see the
Sleep icon blinking. Within 2 seconds, short press the Sleep button to enter into sleep
mode. You can set the sleep time from 90-10 and Off by pressing the Sleep button.
(ii) If no button is pressed for 5 seconds , it will return to the radio mode.
(iii) To cancel the sleep function, press the Sleep button continuously to select the OFF and
you will see the SLEEP icon disappear.
Band switch :
Press the Band button to select different band in the following order : FM1 – FM2 - AM – SW1 –
SW2 .
Search Stations
1. Manual Search : Press Up or Down button continuously to locate the station.
2. Auto Search : Press Up or Down button once , the radio will search and stop at the next station
3. Auto Scan and Store : Press the Auto Scan for 1 second, the radio will keep on searching from low
to high frequency and store all the channels. User can set the starting channel to be stored from.
(default from 01). Select the starting channel before you press the Auto Scan button.
4. Memory Recall : Select the band. Press the numeric button to recall the required channel.
5. Direct Frequency Input :
(i) Select the band.
(ii) Press the Freq. Input button.
(iii) Within 8 seconds, pres the numeric buttons to set the frequency.
Examples :
1. FM1 82.9 MHz : Select FM1, then Freq Input and 8-2-9.
2. MW 567 KHz : .....Press 5-6-7……
3. SW1 6.125MHz : ……Press 6-1-2-5……
4. SW2 21.40MHz : …..Press 2-1-4-0….
(The tuning step for FM=0.1 MHz, AM=9k/10k, SW=0.005MHz)
Meter Band Selection
This radio divides shortwave reception into SW1(5 bands) and SW2 (7 bands) . You can press the
Meter Band button continuously to select the meter band.
Memory Presets :

1. Use auto, manual or direct frequency input to locate the station.
2. Press the Memory button , the LCD indicator will blink.
3. Press the numeric buttons to store into the selected channel.
4. Press the Memory button again to confirm.
Wake-to-Radio
Alarm Time Setting
Press the AL Set button to turn on the wake-to-radio function. The Alarm icon will be displayed. Long
press the AL. Set button to adjust the alarm time. You can use the numeric buttons or Hour/Min button
to set the alarm time. When finished, you will see the Alarm icon stay on. Press the AL. Set button
again to turn off the function.
(The radio will automatically turn on at the preset time. If no other operation is made, the radio will
turn off after 90 minutes’ operation or you can long press the Power button to turn off the radio)
Snooze Function
When the radio is turned on by the wake-to-radio button, press the AL Set button will enter into snooze
function i.e. the radio will suspend operation for 5 minutes. After that the radio will turn on again.
Sleep Mode
1. Sleep Time Setting
(i) Press the Power button will enter into 90 minutes sleep mode.
(ii) Short press the Sleep button continuously to select the sleep time from 90 to 10 minutes
or OFF.
(iii) When finished, the radio will return into radio mode for 5 seconds.
2. Turn Off Sleep Mode - You can continuously press the Sleep button until you see the Sleep icon
disappear.
Intelligent Backlight
At day time, press the Night Light button to turn on the backlight. The backlight will stay on 8 seconds.
At night time, you can turn on the backlight by pressing any button. Long press the Night Light button
for 2 seconds and the backlight will remain always on. Press the button again to turn it off.
Use of Antenna :
1. MW : The built-in magnetic antenna inside the radio is used. Rotate body to get best reception.

2. FM : Extend the antenna. Try different angles to get the best reception
3. SW : Extend the antenna. Make the antenna vertical.
4. You can plug in the extension antenna to improve the FM and SW reception.
