1. Introduction
M1000isaexibleMifarereaderformanyapplications.Thereaderhas3LED’s(yel-
low, green and red) for indication of approved/rejected tag and for navigation when
conguratingthereaderssettings.80users(possiblein2blocksforindividualout-
put).

2. Installation
Mount the reader on a even surface.
Connectthewirestopowersupply,lockingdevice,assemblyboxetc.
Note:Rightafterthevoltageisappliedlightsall3LED’sandthebuzzersounds.
RightaftertheyellowLEDashesandthebuzzerissilent.
3. Programming user tags
3.1 Master transponder
BeforeyoucanusetheM1000youhavetoprogramaMastertransponder
(indication = * ○ ○).ShowthattagyouwantasMastertransponder,agreenlight
conrmstheprogrammingandtheM1000isnowreadyforprogrammingusertags
andconguratingthesettings.
3.2 Programming new user tags
TheM1000has2outputs(yellowandwhitewire)thatcanactivateeachlockingdevice.
Bydefaultatcivatesalltagsoutput2.Tosplittheoutputssee“OCSplit”.

Toexittheprogramming,waitfor30secondsordisconnectandreconnectthe
voltage.
3.3 Deleting user tags
Deleting individual users

The M1000 can also delete all users at once, delete a lost user and delete the master
transponder.Usetheenclosedcongurationschemeasaguide.

4.Conguration
4.1 Programming mode
ToconguretheM1000,thereadermustbedisconnectedandreconnected(forabout
2seconds).NowtheMastertranspondercanconguretheM1000’ssettings.Please
seethecongurationschema// markings.
RemembertoshowtheMasterTransponderwithin10secondstoallowyoutochange
theM1000’scongurations(timeout).
Thefollowingcongurationsonlyworkafterpoweron/oasdescribed.
4.2 Backup/cloning
TheM1000’sinformationcanbestoredandloadedwithaBackupcard
(Art.No.480080).Pleaseseetheenclosedcongurationschemeforfurther
information.
4.3 Settings
These settings can split the outputs, invert the outputs, and set the timeout.
Usetheenclosedcongurationscheme.
4.3.1 OC Split(1ashontheyellowLED)
Fromthefactory,theloadedtagsenablebothoutputs(userspace1to80).Thisset-
tingdividestheuserlocations.User1to40activatesoutput2(yellowwire)anduser
space 41 to 80 activates output 1 (white wire).
Show master transponder for toggle (● = split, ● = combined).
4.3.2 OC1 and OC2 inverted(2or3ashesontheyellowLED)
ThesefunctionsinverttheM1000’soutputs(2ashesforoutput1and3ashesfor
output 2).
(● = inverted, ● = not inverted).

4.3.3 Timeout (4ashesontheyellowLED)
ThisfunctionsetstheM1000’stimeouttime.Showthemastertranspondertostart,
thebuzzergivesabeepforeverysecond,showthemastertransponderagaintoend
the count.
4.3.4 Free locker (5ashesontheyellowLED)
TheFreelockerfunctioncanbeusedforaccesscontrol,especiallywheretheuser
often switches.
Showthereaderacardortag,andifthecabinetisfree,itwilllockandcanonlybe
unlocked with the same card or tag.
Free locker timeout
Countforhours,soifyouwantittobesetto4hours,waitfor4seconds.
Save0forthereadernottoopenafterxhours,butonlywhenthecard/tagis
showed to the reader again. Default is set to 10 hours.
User position 1 resets free locker.
