1.3 General controls
The Satmaps web application is divided into 3 main sections, which can be switched
using the top tabs Monitoring (chapter 1.4.), Journey Register (chapter 1.5.),
Configuration (chapter 1.6.).
For clarity, the status of the monitored
vehicles in the system are distinguished by
different colors.
You can find legend to these and others
information elements in the right top corner
under a button Legend in the Monitoring
tab.
1.4 Monitoring
The Monitoring tab allows you to monitor all vehicles in real-time. Each state of a vehicle
has its own color identification, which provides an immediate overview of the activity of the
monitored vehicles (chapter 1.3).
Using the Vehicles button select a vehicle, which will be
automatically targeted on the map. Use the mouse wheel to
zoom in and out of the map and drag the mouse to move the
map in desired direction.
Clicking on button Center, in
the Vehicles tab, will fixate the
vehicle at the center of the
map. Clicking on the button

1.5.1 Information inputs
Information inputs monitor status or operation of a connected device in the vehicle (e.g.
alarm activation, switching a refrigeration device, using a beacon or warning lights, activation
of SOS button, operation of a plow, opening a tank lid, opening a cargo space, etc.).
Note:
It is possible to customize reaction to inputs activation (chapter 1.6/E). Upon activation of
Input 3 or Input 4 the notification SMS may be sent to predefined telephone numbers. Upon
activation of Input 3 there is also always marked part of the journey for which this input has
been active.
1.5.2 Mileages
Distances measured by GPS locators may show small deviations from the vehicle's
tachometer. You can refine the measured distances in the Mileages tab, where you can
enter the KM according to the vehicle's tachometer.
Note:
We advise to always adjust the mileages after refueling. The date and time of the entered
mileage mustn’t be set for the duration of the journey. The date and time when the vehicle
has no journey recorded can be retrieved from Journey register.
1.5.3 Expenses tracking
This section is used to enter and evaluate the costs of fuel for a vehicle. The costs are
entered either manually, using the New fuel receipt button, or by retrieving the file obtained
from the fueling provider (CCS, Benzina).
For manual data entry fill in: date and time of refueling, total cost, volume in liters and
description (e.g. type of fuel, name of filling station, etc.).
To use fuel cards records it is necessary to add a new card to a particular vehicle using
Payment cards management button. To enter the records, import data files from CCS
(*.txe) or Benzina (*x??n).

2. Accessing the system from mobile devices
The mobile version is a simplified version of the system and serves mostly to instantly locate
vehicles. For a full-featured application use the PC version.
2.1 Logging into the system
To sign in enter http://m.satmaps.net into your mobile device's
browser. Then enter login credentials.
Note:
In case you have not received or deleted login credentials, contact
Satmaps system support.
2.2 General controls
For clarity, the status of the monitored vehicles in the system are
distinguished by different colors (chapter 1.3.).
The mobile version of the application is designed to use as little data as possible. Therefore,
the data are retrieved only once and does not update themselves. In case you need to
update the data, press the button in the upper right corner of the screen.
2.3 Monitoring
To get the current position of a vehicle click on the vehicle in the vehicles list and then click
on the map button.
III. Control of private/business journey switch
The function of distinguishing business/private journeys is
controlled by a switch located in the interior of the vehicle.
Position I (on) activates the business mode. The 0 (off)
deactivates the business mode (private mode is therefore
activated).
This switch has a direct impact on the journey register where
driven kilometers are shown in private/business mode.

IV. Remote control of unit’s functions
User functions of the vehicle unit are controlled by commands, which are sent in a
form of SMS from any mobile phone to the telephone number of the vehicle unit.
The command is always sent together with the PIN code, that uniquely identifies the
authorized persons. PIN code is a four digit number and can be changed for safety
reasons at any time.
The PIN code is set by manufacturer to value 4321 (symbols **** are used instead of
PIN code in the text below). The commands are not case sensitive.
1. PIN code change
Command format: **** PIN xxxx yyyy
xxxx new PIN code
yyyy confirmation of new PIN code
Default setting: 4321
For security reasons we recommend to change the
PIN code as soon as possible.
Note:
If you forgot the PIN code, the factory reset of the vehicle
unit can be done only by the manufacturer.
2. Remote control of switching relay
Current state of relay is shown at the Vehicle card
