Notice Before ROM Upgrade :
**Please backup all personal files and applications installed by user to PC before upgrade.
**Please make sure the battery is over 60% full before upgrade.
ROM Upgrade Procedure :
1. When you finish downloading the image file, unzip the file first. Please copy ALL of the
unzipped files to a Mini/Micro SD card. The Mini/Micro SD card must have at least 256MB of
memory available.
2. Please make sure the battery is over 60% full before upgrading. Place the Mini/Micro SD
card into the phone and turn off the phone. Then press and hold the down Volume Key and
press the Power Button at the same time, until the “IMAGE UTILITY” show up, release all
buttons and it will start installing.
(1) Blue Light: Reading, from Mini/Micro SD card to SDRAM.
(2) Orange Light: Writing, from SDRAM to Flash.
3. After entering Download mode, plug in the charger NOW to ensure upgrade stability.
4. The upgrade takes about 20 minutes. Upon completion, please follow the instruction –
Please Remove Battery” to remove the battery for 1~2 seconds, then put the battery back and
reboot the phone.
When the screen displays the power on screen for the first time, tap the touch panel to go to
calibration screen.
5. On calibration screen, use the stylus and follow the directions.
6. You will see an introduction screen on how to use stylus, tap "Next".
7. On "Pop-up menus" screen, tap and hold an item for about 2 seconds to activate the popup
menu. Select "Cut".
8. Follow the prompt on screen and tap and hold on the item for about 2 seconds to activate the
popup menu again. Select "Paste".
9. Tap "Next".
10. Enter the Date and Time Zone, and then tap "Next".
11. Tap "Skip" to skip setting up password.
12. Calibration procedure is complete. Please tap the screen to go to the next step.
13. The system will start initializing for the first time and install applications. When the
initialization completes, the system will automatically restart. The upgrade is then complete.
