product. You have chosen a high quality product
with this purchase. This operating manual is an
integral part of this 2-speed mains-operated drill
(hereafter referred to only as the „drill“). It contains
important instructions on safety, use and disposal
of the product. Please familiarise yourself with all
operating and safety instructions before using the
product. Only use the product as described and
for the stated purpose. If the product is passed on
to a third party, please provide all documents to
the third party together with the product.

Proper use
The drill is designed for the following purposes:
- for screwing,
- for drilling in wood, plastic and metal.
The drill has to be used properly as specified.
It may not be used for any other purpose. The
manufacturer cannot be held responsible for
damage or injury caused by use the machine for
other than its intended purpose.
Only accessories that are appropriate for the
drill should be used. Non-observance of the
safety, assembly and operating instructions
while operating the appliance counts as misuse.
Anyone operating the drill and maintaining it has
to be familiar with the device and be aware of
the potential dangers. Any applicable health and
safety regulations must also be followed.
Any other applicable local and national
legislation must also be followed. Changes made
to the drill lead to loss of manufacturer liability
and any resulting damages.
The drill has not been designed for use in
commercial, business or industrial applications,
but for hobby and DIY users.
Any other use is expressly prohibited and is
considered as misuse.
Residual risks
Residual risks cannot be completely ruled out
even in case of proper use. The following risks
may arise due to the nature of the drill:
- Burns from coming into contact with hot parts of
the drill or workpiece.
- Harmful emissions of dust in poorly ventilated
spaces or inadequate extraction in closed
rooms.
- Injury and property damage caused by parts
flung out or tool attachment breakage.
General safety instructions for
power tools
WARNING!
Read all safety warnings,
instructions, illustrations and
specifications provided with this
power tool. Failure to follow all
instructions listed below may result in
electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions
for future reference.
The term „power tool“ in the warnings
refers to your mains-operated (corded)
power tool or battery-operated (cordless)
power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep your work area clean and
well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite
accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in
explosive atmospheres, such as
in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools
create sparks which may ignite the
dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders
away while operating a power
tool. Distractions can cause you to
lose control.
2. Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match
the outlet. Never modify the
plug in any way. Do not use
any adapter plugs with earthed
(grounded) power tools.
Unmodified plugs and matching
outlets will reduce risk of electric
shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed
or grounded surfaces, such as
pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased
risk of electric shock if your body is
earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to
rain or wet conditions. Water

entering a power tool will increase the
risk of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never
use the cord for carrying, pulling
or unplugging the power tool.
Keep cord away from heat, oil,
sharp edges or moving parts.
Damaged or entangled cords increase
the risk of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool
outdoors, use an extension cord
suitable for outdoor use.
Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces
the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a
damp location is unavoidable,
use a residual current device
(RCD) protected supply.
Use of an
RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are
doing and use common sense
when operating a power tool.
Do not use a power tool while
you are tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication. A moment of inattention
while operating power tools may
result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective
equipment. Always wear eye
protection. Protective equipment
such as a dust mask, non-skid safety
shoes, hard hat or hearing protection
used for appropriate conditions will
reduce personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting.
Ensure the switch is in the off-
position before connecting to
power source and/or battery
pack, picking up or carrying the
tool. Carrying power tools with your
finger on the switch or energising
power tools that have the switch on
invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key
or wrench before turning the
power tool on. A wrench or a key
left attached to a rotating part of the
power tool may result in personal
injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper
footing and balance at all times.
This enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear
loose clothing or jewellery. Keep
your hair and clothing away
from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewellery or long hair can be caught in
moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the
connection of dust extraction
and collection facilities,
ensure these are connected
and properly used. Use of dust
collection can reduce dust-related
hazards.
h) Do not let familiarity gained
from frequent use of tools allow
you to become complacent and
ignore tool safety principles. A
careless action can cause severe injury
within a fraction of a second.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use
the correct power tool for your
application. The correct power tool
will do the job better and safer at the
rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the
switch does not turn it on and
off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous
and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the
power source and/or remove
the battery pack, if detachable,
from the power tool before
making any adjustments,
changing accessories, or storing
power tools. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting
the power tool accidentally.

d) Store idle power tools out of
the reach of children and do
not allow persons unfamiliar
with the power tool or these
instructions to operate the
power tool. Power tools are
dangerous in the hands of untrained
users.
e) Maintain power tools and
accessories. Check for
misalignment or binding of
moving parts, breakage of
parts and any other condition
that may affect the power tool’s
operation. If damaged, have the
power tool repaired before use.
Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and
clean. Properly maintained cutting
tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to
control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories
and tool bits etc. in accordance
with these instructions, taking
into account the working
conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool
for operations different from those
intended could result in a hazardous
situation.
h) Keep handles and grasping
surfaces dry, clean and free from
oil and grease. Slippery handles
and grasping surfaces do not allow for
safe handling and control of the tool
in unexpected situations.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced
by a qualified repair person
using only identical replacement
parts. This will ensure that the safety
of the power tool is maintained.
Safety warnings for drills
Safety instructions for all types
of work
a) Brace the tool properly before
use. This tool produces a high
output torque and without properly
bracing the tool during operation,
loss of control may occur resulting
in personal injury.
b) Hold the power tool by
insulated gripping surfaces,
when performing an
operation where the cutting
accessory may contact hidden
wiring or its own cord. Cutting
accessory contacting a „live“ wire
may make exposed metal parts of
the power tool „live“ and could
give the operator an electric shock.
Safety instructions when using
long drill bits
a) Never operate at higher
speed than the maximum
speed rating of the drill bit.
At higher speeds, the bit is likely
to bend if allowed to rotate freely
without contacting the workpiece,
resulting in personal injury.
b) Always start drilling at low
speed and with the bit tip in
contact with the workpiece.

c) Apply pressure only in direct
line with the bit and do not
apply excessive pressure. Bits
can bend causing breakage or loss
of control, resulting in personal

4. Before Use
WARNING!
Disconnect the machine from the
mains before performing any
maintenance or adjustments.
Take the drill and accessories out of the
packaging.
Check if the delivery is complete (see section
“SCOPE OF DELIVERY / DESCRIPTION OF
PARTS”).
Check if the drill or the accessories are
damaged.
Do not use the drill if it is damaged or parts are
missing. Contact the service centre listed on the
warranty card.
Insert the drill bit or bit holder
(Fig A)
Turn the chuck

counterclockwise to open it
and insert a drill bit or bit holder.
Choose
- a suitable drill bit and insert it into the chuck.
- a bit holder and insert it using the hexagonal
side into the chuck.
Tighten the chuck clockwise.
If you have mounted a bit holder, then insert a
suitable bit.
Removing / mounting the chuck

To use the bit holder, you have to remove the
chuck

Hold the chuck firmly at the front.
Pull / push the chuck unlocking mechanism

unlocked and can be removed from the front.

Using the bit holder (Fig. D)
You can use the bit holder after removing the
chuck

as described in the section „Removing
the chuck“.
Insert a suitable bit into the bit holder

Slide the bit as fas as it goes into the bit holder.
The magnetic holder holds the bit.
To remove the bit, pull the bit out of the bit
holder.
If the chuck does not lock by itself, turn
the chuck ring.

5. Usage
The drill is designed for use with single-phase AC
230 V
~
/ 50 Hz and has protective insulation.
Check whether the mains voltage of the socket
corresponds with the mains
voltage indicated on the drill’s rating label. Use
an extension cable if the work area is not close to
the mains outlet. Ensure an extension cable with
sufficient conductor diameter (min. 1.5 mm²) is
used. If necessary, ask the dealer for advice when
purchasing. The extension cable used should be
as short as possible. Ensure the mains cable does
not pose a tripping hazard.
Switching on and off (Fig. E)
Switching on:
Press the On/Off switch

Press the On / Off switch and keep it pressed.
Press the locking button

Release the On / Off switch. The drill is now
running continuously at maximum speed at the
selected setting.

Tips for drilling in metal
Make an indentation at the desired hole location
using a centre punch. Always secure sheet
metal using an appropriate clamping device.
When drilling thin sheets of metal lay a piece
of wood underneath the workpiece to prevent
deformation. Use only well sharpened HSS spiral
drill bits. If a large hole diameter is required, drill
a pilot hole using a smaller bit first. When drilling,
the diameter of the smaller drill should be at least
as large as the core of the larger drill. The drill
core is the shortest distance between the two
cutting edges.
Work instructions
CAUTION!
Always secure your workpiece
in a vice or in any other clamping
device. Secure particularly large
workpieces against sliding or
support them properly.
Tips for drilling wood
Make an indentation at the desired hole location
using a centre punch or nail. Place a piece of
waste wood under the workpiece or drill the hole
from both sides to avoid damaging the workpiece
at hole breakthrough. The maximum bore diameter
can only be achieved with a Forstner drill.
Screw driving:
Use screwdriver bits of the appropriate sizes
and shapes for your application. Suitable screws
can be driven into soft wood without pre-drilling.
Drilling in hardwood is very advantageous. In
case of countersink screws, drill a countersunk
bore hole. When using screws with a partial
thread, drill a pilot hole approximately half the
length of the screw.

maintenance or adjustments.
Maintenance
The drill is maintenance free.
Only use spare parts / accessories from the
manufacturer or authorised and qualified
workshops.
Repairs should only be carried out by qualified
technicians or by an authorised service centre.
Qualified technicians must have relevant training
and experience, be familiar with the design and
construction requirements of the product and
understand and follow the safety regulations.
Keep your tool bits always sharp. Sharpen them
always using a suitable tool as recommended by
the tool bit manufacturer.
NOTE!
Use only suitable carbon brushes.
In case of doubt, please contact the
manufacturer.
Replacing the carbon brushes
Unscrew the carbon brush cover using a
screwdriver.
Remove the carbon brush.
Replace the carbon brush with a new one.
Replace the cover of the carbon brushes.
Replacing the mains cable
If the mains cable needs to be replaced, it has to
be done by the manufacturer or his representative
to avoid safety hazards.
WARNING!
Make sure that liquids do not get
inside the drill.
Cleaning
Clean the drill regularly with a dry cloth. Never
use strong and / or abrasive cleaning agents or
solvents. Allow all the parts to dry completely.
Ensure that the ventilation slots are not blocked
and clean the tool‘s housing regularly with a
soft cloth.
Storage
Clean the drill before storage.
Keep the drill in a safe, cool, dry and well-
ventilated place, out of the reach of children
when not in use.
Store the drill at an ambient temperature of
0 - 40 ° C.
Transport
Use the original packaging and secure the drill
in place during transport.
Always carry the drill using the handle provided
for this purpose.

Disposal of the drill
Dispose of packaging separately. Dispose
of card and paper in waste paper, plastic
at collection points.
This symbol indicates that this product
may not be disposed of together with
domestic waste in compliance with the
(2012/19/EC) directive pertaining to
waste electrical and electronic devices (WEEE).
This product must be handed in at an designated
collection point. This can occur, for example, by
returning it when a similar product is purchased
or by handing it in at an authorised collecting
point for the recycling of waste electrical and
electronic equipment. Owing to potentially
hazardous substances that are frequently
contained in waste electronic equipment,
incorrect handling of waste equipment may have
a negative impact on the environment and on the
health of human beings. By disposing of this
product correctly, you are also contributing
towards an efficient use of natural resources.
Information on collecting points for waste
equipment can be obtained from your local
authority, the public waste disposal authority, an

Dear customer,
This device comes with a 3 year warranty
from the date of purchase. In case of defects
in the product you may be entitled to legal
claims against the seller of the product. These
legal claims are not restricted by the following
warranty.
Conditions of warranty
The warranty period begins with the date of
purchase. Please preserve the original sales
receipt. This document is required as proof of
purchase. If a material or fabrication defect
occur in this prodict within three years from the
date of purchase, the product shall be repaired
or replaced free of cost at our discretion. Within
the three year period the warranty requires the
defective product and the purchase document
(sales receipt) to be provided with a brief written
description of where the defect lies and when it
occurred.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the
repaired product or a new product shall be
returned to you. A new warranty period does not
begin with the repair or exchange of the product.
Warranty period and legal claims based
on defects
The warranty period is not extended by the
warranty. This also applies to replaced and
repaired parts. Any damages and defects that
may exist at the time of purchase must be notified
immediately after removal from packaging. Any
repairs arising after the expiry of the warranty
period are chargeable.
Scope of the warranty
The device has been manufactured according
to strict quality guidelines and tested diligently
before delivery. The warranty applies to material
or fabrication defects. This warranty does not
cover product parts that are subject to normal
wear and tear and therefore can be considered
as parts subject to wear and tear or for the
damage to fragile parts, e.g switch, batteries or
those made of glass.
This warranty is void if the product is damaged,
not used or maintained properly. All the

product. The purpose of use and actions which
are advised or warned against must necessarily

The product is intended solely for private use and
not for professional use. The warranty is void in
