SolarFocus Lighted cover License Agreement

This is an agreement between you and Solarfocus Technology Co. Ltd. (referred to herein as "we"). Please read this License
Agreement and Terms of Use, and the other applicable rules, policies, and terms posted on the www.solarmio.com website
(collectively, this "Agreement") before using the Lighted cover. By using the Lighted cover you agree to be bound by the
terms of this Agreement. If you do not accept the terms of this Agreement, then you may not use the Lighted cover; and you
may return the Lighted cover for a refund in accordance with the applicable return policy.
1. Device and Software
2. General
For the purposes of this Agreement:
"Device" means the Lighted cover hardware provided by Solarfocus Technology Co. Ltd. to you and the Lighted cover might
with or without solar controller pre-install in it.
"Software" means the software on the Lighted cover (including any updates/upgrades to that software), and any related
documentation that we make available to you.
1. Device and Software
Use of the Software. You may use the Software only on a Lighted cover provide by Solarfocus Technology Co. Ltd. You may
not separate any individual component of the Software for use on another device or computer, may not transfer it for use on
another device or computer or use it, or any portion of it, over a network, and may not sell, rent, lease, lend, distribute, or
sublicense or otherwise assign any rights to the Software in whole or in part. Additional terms apply to some of the Software,
and will govern the use of such Software in the event of a conflict with this Agreement.
No Reverse Engineering, Decompilation, Disassembly, or Circumvention. You may not modify, reverse engineer,
decompile, or disassemble the Lighted cover or the Software, whether in whole or in part, create any derivative works from or
of the Software, or bypass, modify, defeat, or tamper with or circumvent any of the functions or protections of the Lighted
cover or Software or any mechanisms operatively linked to the Software
2. General
Compliance with Law and Reservation of Rights. You will use the Lighted cover, the Software in compliance with all
applicable laws. Neither the sale or transfer of the Lighted cover to you, nor the license of the Software to you, transfers to you
title to or ownership of any intellectual property rights of Solarfocus Technology Co. Ltd. All licenses are non-exclusive and
all rights not expressly granted in this Agreement are reserved to Solarfocus Technology Co. Ltd.
Patents. The Lighted cover and Software, and/or methods used in association with any of the foregoing, may be covered by
one or more patents or pending patent applications.

ONE-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
This Warranty for the Lighted cover Device (the "Device") is provided by SolarFocus Technology Co. Ltd., BLDG. C, 20F,
NO. 90, SEC.1, XINTAI 5TH RD. XIZHI DIST., NEW TAIPEI CITY, TAIWAN, R.O.C.. However, if this Device was sold
by an authorized reseller of SolarFocus Technology Co. Ltd., then this Warranty is provided by that authorized reseller. For the
terms and conditions of purchase at those resellers, please refer to their individual policies. The provider of this warranty is
sometimes referred to herein as "we."
We warrant the Device against defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary consumer use for one year from the date
of original retail purchase. During this warranty period, if a defect arises in the Device, and you follow the instructions for
returning the Device, we will, at our option, to the extent permitted by law, either (i) repair the Device using either new or
refurbished parts, (ii) replace the Device with a new or refurbished Device that is equivalent to the Device that is to be
replaced, or (iii) refund to you all or part of the purchase price of the Device. This limited warranty applies, to the extent
permitted by law, to any repair, replacement part or replacement device for the remainder of the original warranty period or for
ninety days, whichever period is longer. All replaced parts and Devices for which a refund is given shall become our property.
This limited warranty applies only to hardware components of the Device that are not subject to accident, misuse, neglect, fire
or other external causes, alterations, repair, or commercial use.
Instructions. For specific instructions about how to obtain warranty service for your Device, please contact Customer Service
using the contact information provided in this guide. In general, you will need to deliver your Device in either its original
packaging or in equally protective packaging to the address specified by Customer Service. Before you deliver your Device for
warranty service, it is your responsibility to back up any data, making, signature, or other materials you may have stored or
preserved on your Device. It is possible that such data, making, signature or other materials will be lost or replaced during
service, and we will not be responsible for any such damage or loss.
Limitations. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE WARRANTY AND REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE
EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES, AND WE SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIM
ALL STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND AGAINST HIDDEN OR LATENT DEFECTS.
IF WE CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM STATUTORY OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, THEN TO THE EXTENT
PERMITTED BY LAW, ALL SUCH WARRANTIES SHALL BE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF
THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY AND TO REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT SERVICE.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG A STATUTORY OR IMPLIED
WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE ABOVE LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR
DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF
WARRANTY OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY. IN SOME JURISDICTIONS THE FOREGOING
LIMITATION DOES NOT APPLY TO DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CLAIMS, OR ANY STATUTORY LIABILITY
FOR INTENTIONAL AND GROSS NEGLIGENT ACTS AND/OR OMISSIONS, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION OR
LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR
LIMITATION OF DIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE EXCLUSION OR
LIMITATION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. THIS "LIMITATIONS" SECTION DOES NOT APPLY TO CUSTOMERS IN
THE UNITED KINGDOM AND THE EUROPEAN UNION.
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. To the extent that such rights cannot be disclaimed under applicable law,
this limited warranty does not affect such rights.

How to install your e-reader into the Lighted cover?
1. Slide your e-reader bottom into the Lighted cover lower part clamps.
2. Use two hands to push two upper corner of e-reader plastic frame into the Lighted cover upper clamps.
Attention: Push on the e-reader screen is restricted.
How to charge the Lighted cover reserve battery and your e-reader at the same time?
1. Plug the micro USB end of USB cable in to the Lighted cover micro USB port (which is located at upper part of Lighted
cover).
2. Plug the USB end (bigger end) of the USB cable in to the powered computer or AC adaptor* USB port.
3. It will charge your e-reader first, then charging the Lighted cover reserve battery.
4. The LED indicator will be blink in green. When the LED indicator shows solid green, the Lighted cover reserve battery is
fully charged**.
Attention:
During the charging time of your e-reader itself that you might not see the LED indicator blinking
in green, it will blinking in green when your e-reader is nearly fully charged and the charging
controller switch to charge the Lighted cover reserve battery automatically.
Note: *Use the original USB cable and AC adaptor that came with your e-reader only.
**Fully charge the Lighted cover reserve battery before the first time use is recommended.
How to switch on the LED reading lamp?
Push the LED lamp release button, the LED lamp will pop up and switch on automatically.
Note: The LED lamp will not switch on automatically when your e-reader is in the sleeping
mode.
How to switch off the LED reading lamp?
Push downward from the top side of LED lamp. When you hear the click sound, the LED lamp is off and locked in the slot.
Note:
The LED lamp will switch off automatically when your e-reader is going into the
sleeping mode.
How to transfer the energy from the Lighted cover reserve battery to your e-reader?
1. Push the Lighted cover power button one time, the LED indicator will display firstly about 5 seconds to indicate the remained energy
level of the Lighted cover reserve battery, then the LED will be blinking in red and transfer energy to your e-reader.
2. To switch off the energy transfer manually, that is simply to push the Lighted cover power button one more time during the LED
blinking in red color, the LED will display the remained energy level of Lighted cover reserve battery first for 5 seconds, then switch
off.
3. The energy transfer will be ending within one hour automatically in order to reserve sufficient energy for LED reading lamp, meanwhile
the one hour energy transfer is able to support your e-reader for 10 days reading time*.
Energy level LED indicator:
Green ------ 80 ~100%
Orange ---- 30 ~ 80%
Red ------- below 30%
Note: Transfer the energy to your e-reader when it is necessary only is recommended, for example when
you see the battery symbol on your e-reader screen show up low battery sign.
*The 10 days reading time is calculated according to the reading time and condition published on
your e-reader supplier’s web site.
How to transfer documents or data to your computer or from your computer to your e-reader?
1. Plug the micro USB end of USB cable in to your e-reader micro USB port (which is located at lower part of Lighted
cover).
2. Plug the USB end (bigger end) of the USB cable in to the computer USB port.
3. Rest steps please refer to your e-reader user guide.
How to remove your e-reader from Lighted cover?
Simply insert a small, thin (2~ 2.5 mm diameter), plastic or non-metallic object into the 4 slots on the side of Lighted cover,
and gently release the e-reader.
FAQ:
Q: Why does my power+ Lighted cover reserve battery not charged when I used USB to charge it together with my e-reader?
A: Most likely is you connected the USB cable to the e-reader’s USB port not the USB port on the Power+ Lighted cover.
To work around is simply connect the USB cable to the Power+ Lighted cover’s USB port that located on the upper part of
Power+ Lighted cover.

Battery Safety:
The rechargeable battery in your Lighted cover device should be replaced only by an authorized service provider. Charge the
battery only in temperatures that range from 32° to 95° Fahrenheit (0° to 35° Celsius).
Warning / Safety precautions:
1. Do not expose the Lighted Cover device to rain or moisture.
2. Do not operate the Lighted Cover device if it appears damaged in any way.
3. Strictly prohibit against fire and water test.
4. Do not expose at temperature below -20ºC (-4ºF) or above 60ºC (140ºF).
5. Do not dispose any part of Lighted Cover into bin.
6. Dispose of Lighted Cover device according to your local environmental laws and guidelines.
