4. Mounting instruction
Method 1.
Pass mounting bolts through mounting slots (shown below)
Screw locknut supplied into recess on the underside of base.
The Pan & Tilt can now be mounted on the bracket and secured with washers and nyloc nuts.
Method 2.
Screw bolts supplied into mounting surface leaving at least 12mm of thread beneath head showing.
Position base over bolts in keyhole slots & rotate anti-clockwise until shank of bolt is locked in slot.
Mounting bolts can now be tightened.

Unit identification
The Type 2000/2006 can be mounted upright or inverted as shown above. Note: if mounted
inverted(side platform only) the pan & tilt directions become reversed. i.e. right becomes left, up
becomes down. Pins 2 to 5 on the free connector should be reversed.

7. Tilt limits
The required angular tilt movement of the camera platform can be set to any angle within the range
of +20 Deg to -90 Deg down from the horizontal. A friction clutch design eliminates the need for
tools, simply rotate the actuators by hand to give the desired movement. A graduated scale is
provided on the side arm to aid set-up.
Set-up procedure
1. Remove the 2 cover fixings (A) and remove the cover moulding (B) to expose the limits beneath.
2. Rotate tilt up (C) and tilt down (D) actuators to give the desired angle of tilt movement.
Note: An angled scale in 10 deg. increments is provided on the platform side arm to aid set up.
3. A limit stop is encorporated to prevent the platform from tilting over +20Deg. & into the
casing (E)
4. The limit pin (F) actuates the internal microswitches to stop the supply to tilt motor.

8. Pan limits
The required angular pan movement of the unit can be set to any angle within the range of
5 to 350 Deg. A friction clutch design, as in tilt, eliminates the need for tools, The pan actuators are
situated around the mounting base. Simply rotate by hand to set the desired angle of movement.
Set-up procedure
1. The pan actuators are located in a pocket around the mounting base (D) as shown in fig.9
2. Rotate pan right (A) and pan left (B) actuators to give the desired angle of pan movement.
Note: It may be necessary to push actuators with a tool in certain restrictive positions.
3. The limit pin (C) actuates the internal microswitches to stop the supply to pan motor.

9. Type 2000: Motor Capacitor replacement
1. Remove the 3 idler side plate fixings (A) and withdraw side plate (B)
2. Remove the 5 cover fixings (C) retaining the idler side cover.
3. Withdraw the idler side cover (D) to expose the internal components of the Pan & Tilt.
4. The Capacitor board (E) is mounted on the end of the tilt motor and can be readily removed
without the use of tools.
5. Replacement capacitors can be fitted as required. Component idents are screened on the p.c.b.

(To provide a feedback signal to a controller monitoring the units position)
1. Drive the pan axis to the centre position of the required sweep angle & locate the pan preset
potentiometer as shown in fig.1.
2. Measure the resistance between pin 1 (0V return) & (pan position signal output) on the
preset connector.
3. Turn the clutch adjuster on the pan potentiometer (fig.1) to achieve a reading of 500 Ohms to
centre the Potentiometer.
4. Repeat the procedure for the tilt axis measuring the tilt potentiometer resistance between
pins 1 & 2 on the preset connector.
To replace a faulty potentiometer remove the fixing screws (2) (shown on fig.2) and remove the
assembly. Release the grub screw secuing the clutch assembly (4). Undo the nut (3) to remove the
potentimeter (1) from its mounting bracket.

The Autopan assembly mounts, as shown, on pillars above the pan motor. Take care to position the
terminal block facing forward and route the cable loom down one mounting pillar and along the top
gearplate using ‘p’ clips supplied. Remove the patch plug (fig.2) on the limit board and replace with
the autopan loom connector. Autopan line is pin 6 on the standard 7 way connector.

(Thermostatically controlled 75W heater, allowing unit operation down to -30 Deg.C)
The Heater assembly mounts, as shown, beneath the pan motor. Tilt gearbox removal is required
to give access to a fixing screw (shown above). Route cable loom across top gearplate using ‘p’
clips provided. Remove the patch plug (fig.2 - previous page) on the limit board and replace with
the heater loom connector. Heater line is pin 6 on the standard 7 way connector.
