Eaton CEAG CG IV is a relay module that allows the connection of a central battery system to a central control station. It has eight LEDs that indicate the state of the system. The device has two input channels for remote monitoring of the central battery system. A functional test can be initiated via the input channel “FT” and a continuous operation test (battery test) can be initiated via the input channel “BT”. The relay contacts have a switching capacity of 24V/0.5A AC/DC. The device has deep-discharging protection, not light fault, charging fault and not operation indicators.

2 Beschreibung/

Verwendungsbereich

Diese Baugruppe ermöglicht den Anschluss der

Zentralbatterieanlage an eine zentrale Leitstelle

(ZLT).

2 Description/Scope

of application

This subassembly allows the connection of

the central battery system to a central control

station (ZLT) or buil-ding management system

(BMS).

SICHERHEITSHINWEISE

• Das elektronische Gerät ist bestim mungs -

gemäß in unbeschädigtem und einwand-

freiem Zustand zu betreiben!

• Als Ersatz dürfen nur Originalteile von

EATON verwendet werden!

• Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme muss das

Gerät entsprechend den im Abschnitt

Installation genannten Anweisungen ge-

prüft werden!

• Bei Durchführung von Arbeiten am Gerät

ist sicherzustellen, dass das Gerät span-

nungs frei geschaltet ist! Beachten Sie

dabei die unter schiedlichen Ver sorgungen

des Geräts bei Normal- und Notbetrieb.

• Die Protokollführung gemäß der nationa-

len Vorschriften ist durchzuführen (entfällt

bei automatischer Protokollierung)!

• Alle Fremdkörper müssen vor der ersten

Inbetriebnahme aus dem Gerät entfernt

werden!

• Beachten Sie bei allen Ar beiten an dem

Gerät die nationalen Sicherheits- und

Unfallverhütungsvorschriften und die

nachfolgenden Sicherheitshinweise in der

Betriebsanleitung, die mit einem

ver-

sehen sind!

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• The electronic device shall only be

used for its intended purpose and in

undamaged and perfect condition!

• Only genuine EATON spare parts may be

used for replacement and repair

• Prior to its initial operation, the device

will have to be checked in line with the

instructions (see installation sector)

• When working on the electronic device

make sure that it is disconnected from

the voltage! Pay attention to the different

power supplies in mains or battery opera-

tion.

• Recording in the minutes shall be per-

formed in compliance with the national

regulations (is deleted in case of auto-

matic recording).

• Any foreign object shall be removed from

the device prior to its initial operation!

regulations to prevent accidents as well

3.1 Anschluss Relaismodul

Diese Baugruppe ermöglicht den Anschluss der

Zentralbatterieanlage an eine zentrale Leitstelle

(ZLT). Über potentialfreie Meldekontakte wer-

den die wichtigsten Anlagenzustände weiter-

gemeldet. Zur Fernüberprüfung der Zentral-

batterie anlage stehen zwei Eingangskanäle zur

Verfügung. Über den Eingangskanal „FT“ kann

ein Funktionstest ausgelöst werden und über

den Eingangskanal „BT“ ein Betriebsdauertest

(Batterietest). Acht Leuchtdioden zeigen den

Anlagenzustand an.

3 Function of relaymodule

3.1 Connection of relay contacts

This subassembly allows the connection of

the central battery system to a central control

station (ZLT) or buil-ding management system

(BMS). The most important system states

are trans-mitted via potential-free signalling

contacts. There are two input channels for the

remote monitoring of the central battery sys-

tem. A functional test can be initiated via the

input channel „FT“ and a continuous operation

test (battery test) can be initiated via the input

channel „BT“. Eight LEDs indicate the state of

the system.

3.2.1 Relaismodul CG IV

Tiefentladeschutz: geschlossen, wenn die

Batt.spannung zuvor unterhalb der Tiefentlade-

schwelle war und dies nicht manuell bestätigt

wurde.

Notlichtstörung: geschlossen, wenn eine

Leuchtenstörung o. Stromkreisstörung vorliegt.

Ladestörung:

geschlossen, wenn eine Lade-

störung, ein Isolationsfehler o. Störung an

einem über die Kontakte Z1-Z4 überwachten

Lüfter vorliegt.

Notbetrieb: geschlossen, während eines Netz

ausfalls am Gerät, Netzausfallerk. ü. S3S4, an

einem DLS/3Ph.wächter, nachl. Notl., Handrück.

Netzbetrieb: geschlossen, wenn das Gerät

nicht blockiert ist, kein Netzausfall sowie kein

Tiefentladeschutz und kein Batteriebetrieb aktiv

Deep discharge protection: closed when bat-

tery voltage has been below the deep discharge

threshold and has not been manually confirmed.

Emergency lighting fault: closed when there

is a luminaire fault or a circuit fault.

Charge fault: closed when there is a charge

failure, an insulation failure or failure on a fan

monitored via contacts Z1-Z4.

Emergency mode: closed during mains failure

on the device, mains failure detection via cur-

rent loop S3 S4, mains failure on a DLS/3 ph.

Mains operation: closed when device is not

3.2.2 Relay module CG V

No operation: closed when device is disabled

or battery has been deep discharged or relay

mo-dule is electrically isolated.

Failure priority 1: closed when there is a char-

ging module malfunction or booster malfunction

or battery circuit is open circuit or battery vol-

tage is outside the permitted range or there is

a failure on a fan monitored via contacts Z1-Z4

or insulation failure o deep discharge protection

mess. req. confirmation or relay module is elec-

trically isolated.

Failure priority 2: closed when a fuse is faulty

in the final circuit or relay m. is electrically iso-

lated.

Failure priority 3: closed when there is a lumi-

naire fault

Emergency mode: closed when device is not

disabled and there is a mains failure or a mains

failure via current loop S3 S4 or a mains failure

via DLS/3ph. monitor or timedelayed e.l. or a

manual reset prompt.

3.3 Funktion Befehlskontakte

Mit einem Impuls von mind. 20 ms/24V kann

die gewünschte Funktion aktiviert werden. Soll

ein Funktions- oder Betriebsdauertest erneut

ausgelöst werden muss über einen Impuls der

Funktions-Betriebsdauertest zurückgesetzt

werden.

3.3 Function of command contacts

The desired function can be activated with an

impulse of min. 20ms/24V.

Schalten Sie das Gerät spannungsfrei (erst

im Display des Steuerteils erscheint und

be tätigen Sie den Service-Pin des Moduls,

indem Sie den Mikroschalter mit einem

kleinenSchraubendreher in der Öffnung mit

derAufschrift “Service” betätigen.

Das Modul wird automatisch installiert. Wählen

Sie in dem Menü, welches im Steuerteildisplay

angezeigt wird, mit der -Taste den Modultyp

aus, der auf der Frontplatte aufgedruckt ist

(CGIV oder CG V).

4 Installation of the module

Electrically isolate the device (first disconnect

battery fuse and then mains fuse) and fasten

the module in a spare slot using the pre-

assembled fastening screws.

Now switch the device back on (first connect

mains fuse and then battery fuse), wait until

the main screen appears in the display on the

control module and actuate the service pin in

the module by actuating the micro switch using

a small screwdriver in the opening labeled

„Service“.

The module is installed automatically. In the

menu on the control module display select the

module type printed on the front panel using the

 keys (CGIV or CG V).

Gehen Sie zunächst in das Menü

Grundeinstellun gen ...

... und wählen Sie das Menü Relaismodul-

Setupaus ...

... ändern Sie den Wert „installiert“ auf „nicht

installiert“ und verlassen Sie das Menü mit der

2-Taste. Sie können das Modul jetzt aus dem

Gerät ausbauen.

5 Deinstallation of the module

First open the basic setup menu ...

... and select the relaymodule setup menu ...

... change the „installed“ entry to „not ins-

talled“ and leave the menu using the 2 key.

Your can now remove the module from the

device.

Betriebsdauerteststart

Durch kurzzeitiges (zum Beispiel über einen

Taster gesteuert) Anlegen einer Gleichspannung

von 24 V zwischen dem Kontakt „FT On“und

„+24/0V“ kann ein Funktionstest der Anlage

gestartet werden. Wird ein solcher Spannungs-

impuls zwischen den Kontakten „FTOff“ und

„+24/0V“ angelegt, wird ein eventuell laufender

Funktionstest abgebrochen.

Dasselbe gilt für die Kontakte „BT On“,

“BTOff“, nur dass hierbei ein Betriebsdauertest

gestartet bzw. abgebrochen werden kann.

Die beiden „+24/0V“-Eingänge müssen die

gleiche Polarität haben, da sie intern verbunden

sind.

6 Function test start /

duration test start

A function test on the system can be started by

briefly (for example controlled using a button)

applying a DC voltage of 24 V between the con-

tact „FT On“ and „+24 / 0V“ (not polarity sen-

sitive). If such a voltage pulse is applied to the

contacts „FT Off“ and „+24 / 0V“, any function

test currently running is interrupted.

The same applies to the contacts „BT on“ „BT

off“, only in this case an operating duration test

can be started or interrupted.

The two „+24 / 0V“ inputs must have the same

polarity, as they are connected together inter-

nally.

8 Disposal / Recycling

When disposing of defective devices, comply

with valid regulations for recycling and waste

disposal. Plastic parts are marked with corre-

sponding symbols. The LiIon battery

integrated in the luminaire must be

returned to the seller or an approved

disposal location and must not be

disposed of by the customer, in

accordance with the 2006/66/EG

EU directive.

7 Servicing / Maintenance

Observe the relevant national regulations

applying to the maintenance, servicing and

checking of electrical apparatus ! In case

ofreturns you need a RMA - number from us.

Der in der Leuchte eingebaute LiIon-Akku

ist–entsprechend der EU-Richtlinie

2006/66/EG– beim Wechsel an den Vertreiber

oder an einen zugelassenen Entsorger zurück

zugeben und darf nicht selbst entsorgt werden!
