General information
Reading and storing the user manual
This user manual is an integral part of this tower fan.
It contains important information on start-up and use.
Read the user manual, especially the safety instructions, carefully before
using the tower fan. Failure to follow the instructions in this user manual
can result in serious injury or damage to the tower fan.
Please keep the user manual for future reference. If you pass the tower fan to others,
ensure that you also give them this user manual.

The following symbols and signal words are used in this user manual, on the
appliance, or on the packaging.

Proper use
The appliance is intended solely for ventilation of dry, enclosed
rooms in private households. Furthermore, the appliance is
intended for domestic use only, not for commercial use. Only
use the appliance as described in this user manual. Using it in
any other way is deemed improper and may result in damage
to property or even personal injury. The tower fan is not a
children’s toy. The manufacturer or vendor cannot be held
liable for damages incurred through improper or incorrect use.

THIS APPLIANCE IS INTENDED FOR HOUSEHOLD
AND INDOOR USE ONLY.
Polarized plug
The appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the
risk of electric shock, this plug is intended to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a
qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way. Do not attempt to defeat this
safety feature.

This product employs overload protection (fuse). A blown fuse indicates an overload
or short-circuit situation. If the fuse blows, unplug the product from the outlet.
Replace the fuse as per the user servicing instructions (follow product marking for
proper fuse rating) and check the product. If the replacement fuse blows, a short-
circuit may be present and the product should be discarded or returned to an
authorized service facility for examination and/or repair.
CHILD SAFETY
Packing materials:
- Packing cartons covered with rugs, bedspreads, plastic
sheets or stretch wrap may become airtight chambers
and can quickly cause suffocation.
- Remove the protective film covering from the appliance
before starting the appliance.
- Destroy or recycle the appliance’s cardboard box,
plastic bags, and any other exterior wrapping
material immediately after the product is
unpacked.
Children should never play with these items.

- Keep the appliance out of reach of children.

- Do not use outdoor or on wet surfaces.
- Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary
when used by or near children.
- Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s
recommended attachments.
- Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
- WARNING: Unplug or disconnect the appliance from the
power supply before servicing.
- Please note that changes or modifications of this product not
expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance
could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.
- WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not
use this fan with any solid-state speed control device.
- Do not run the cord under carpeting. Do not cover cord with
throw rugs, runners, or similar coverings. Do not route cord
under furniture or appliances. Arrange cord away from
traffic area and where it will not be tripped over.
- Do not operate any fan with a damaged cord or plug. Discard
fan or return to an authorized service facility for examination
and/or repair.
- Always turn the tower fan off before removing the plug from
the outlet.
- Do not unplug by pulling on the cord. To unplug the fan,
grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Always turn the tower fan off and unplug it immediately
after using and before cleaning.

- To protect against electrical hazards, do not place the tower
fan in water or any other liquid. Do not allow the tower fan
to become wet or damp.
- Do not store the tower fan where it can fall into water or
other liquids.
- No object(s) should ever be inserted or dropped into any
opening of this product.
- Do not leave the tower fan unattended when it is in use.
Turn the fan off and disconnect it from the outlet when
leaving it for an extended period of time.
- Place the tower fan on a flat, level surface to avoid it
overturning.
- Do not obstruct the airflow.
- Never leave the tower fan unattended while connected to
the power outlet.
- Risk of fire! Do not replace the plug! The plug contains a
safety device (fuse) that should not be removed. Discard the
product if the plug is damaged.

Please read and comply with all safety instructions listed
below. If you do not comply, there is a significant risk of
accidents and injuries, as well as damage to property
and appliances. When using electrical appliances, basic
precautions should always be followed; these include the
following:
Dangers to children and persons with impaired abilities
- This appliance may be used by children aged 8 and older
as well as by individuals with impaired abilities or with
limited experience and/or knowledge, provided they are

supervised or have been instructed in the safe use of the
appliance and are aware of the resulting risks.
- Children must not be allowed to clean or carry out user
maintenance on the appliance unless they are older than
8 and are supervised. The appliance and its power cord
must be kept away from children under the age of 8.
- Children must not be allowed to play with the appliance.
For this reason please use and keep the appliance out of the
reach of children under 8 years of age. To prevent anyone
from pulling the appliance over, do not allow the mains lead
to hang down from the worktop surface.
- Keep packaging materials out of the reach of children –

Risks involved in handling electrical appliances
- Connect the appliance only to a correctly installed power
outlet with the grid voltage stated on the identification
plate.
- If the power cord on this appliance is damaged, it must be
replaced by the manufacturer or the manufacturer’s
customer service department or similarly qualified persons
in order to avoid any possible dangers.
- Ensure that the power outlet is located near the appliance
and easily accessible in order to quickly disconnect the
appliance from the power grid in the event of an incident.
- Repairs must only be carried out by approved specialist
workshops. Appliances that have been repaired incorrectly
represent a danger to the user.
- To avoid accidents, do not leave the appliance unsupervised
while it is in operation.
- To avoid accidents, never connect multiple household
appliances to the same power outlet at the same time
(e.g. using a three-outlet power strip).

- Never immerse the appliance in water and do not use it
outside, as it must not be exposed to rain or any other kind
of moisture. Danger of electric shock!
- If the appliance does fall into water, remove the power plug
from the power outlet before lifting the appliance out of the
water! Do not attempt to use the appliance again until it has
been tested by an approved service point. This also applies
if the power cord or the appliance is damaged or if the
appliance has fallen. Danger of electric shock!
- Always unplug the appliance from the power grid when not
in use, before cleaning or in the event of malfunctions!
Never pull on the power cord! Danger of electric shock!
- Ensure that the power cord and the appliance are never
placed on hot surfaces or near sources of heat. Route the
power cord so that it does not come into contact with objects
that are hot or have sharp edges. Danger of electric shock!
- Never bend the power cord or wrap it around the appliance,
as this could cause the cord to break. Danger of electric
shock!
- Do not use the appliance if you are on a damp surface, or
if your hands or the appliance are wet. Danger of electric
shock!
- Never open the appliance and never attempt to insert metal
objects into the interior.

Dangers when operating the tower fan
- Never insert fingers or other body parts or objects through
the protective grate (risk of injury).
- Place the appliance on a firm, flat and stable surface.
This will prevent it from tipping over during operation.
- Do not place any objects on the appliance.

- Ensure that the power outlet is accessible in order to
disconnect the appliance in the event of a malfunction.
- Any extension cables used must meet the applicable safety
requirements.
- Do not cover the protective grates (air inlet and outlet grate)
with objects such as magazines, tablecloths, curtains etc.
Clean the ventilation grate from the outside from time to
time using a brush. When doing so, please ensure that the
appliance is switched off and not plugged into a power out-
let.
- Regularly inspect the appliance and power cord for visible
damage. Do not operate the appliance if it or the power cord
shows visible damage.
- Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures. Avoid
direct sunlight and heat from heating installations.
- When handling the tower ventilator, pay particular attention
to ensure that no curtains/drapes, clothing (especially ties
or scarves etc.), jewelry or long hair gets caught in the tower
fan. Long hair, for example, could be sucked in by the airflow.
- Route the power cord so that it is not a trip hazard.
Otherwise, there is a risk of serious injury.
- Use original accessories only! Use of non-original accessories
may lead to an increased risk of accidents. No liability will be
accepted for any accidents or damages resulting from the
use of non-original accessories. If non-original parts or
accessories are used, all warranty claims for resulting
damage to the appliance are null and void.
- Always switch off the appliance and pull out the power plug
when you are not using it. Do the same if there is a
malfunction or if an object accidentally falls through the
protective grate.
- Use the appliance only in areas where the ambient
temperature does not exceed 40°C/104°F.

User Servicing Instructions
This product employs overload protection (fuse) which is
integrated in the plug. If the fuse blows, unplug the product
from the outlet. Replace the fuse as per the following
instructions.
1. Grasp plug and remove from the receptacle or other outlet
device. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.
2. Open fuse cover by sliding access cover on top of attachment
plug towards the blades.
3. Remove fuse carefully by gently lifting up one of its ends and
taking it out of the receptacle.
4. Risk of fire. Replace fuse with 2.5 Amp, 125 Volt fuse by first
placing one end (the end on the opposite side of the blades)
of the fuse into the fuse receptacle and then gently push the
other end of the fuse into the fuse receptacle.
5. Close the fuse cover by sliding the cover back into the plug
until it is completely closed, latches and is flush mount with
the plug.

Prior to first use
WARNING!
After unpacking, check the appliance and ensure that
all parts are included; also check for shipping damage
to avoid any hazards. In case of doubt, do not use the
appliance and contact our customer service. The service
addresses are listed in our warranty terms and conditions
as well as on the warranty card.
Your appliance has been packaged to protect it from any shipping damage.
Carefully remove the appliance from its original packaging.
Remove all packaging.
Clean the appliance and all accessories and clean any remaining dust from the
packaging as described in the chapter “Maintenance, cleaning and care”.
Attaching the base
Before using the appliance, the base must be attached to the appliance
housing. The base is made up of 2 parts that must first be joined and then
attached to the underside of the appliance. Note: One of the parts has a
recess at the top to hold the cord in place.
1. First, take the two parts of the base 1 and turn them upside down.

2. Join the two parts by placing the part with the cord holder onto the second part
of the base so that the attached guide bolts fit into the openings provided on the
part with the cable holder and interlock.
3. Push the two parts together fully until they form a unit and are securely fastened
via the integrated locking mechanism.
4. Now pick up the appliance and carefully turn it upside down.

5. First unscrew the plastic nut in the center and remove it from the appliance.
6. Now take the base 1 and attach it to the underside of the appliance. Make sure
that the raised areas on the appliance are inserted precisely into the recesses
provided on the base 1.

7. Now secure the base 1 to the appliance using the plastic nut removed earlier.
8. Route the power cord through the cord holder so that its held securely and firmly
in place.
The base 1 is now fully assembled and you can now position the appliance
upright in a suitable location with the control panel 4 facing up.

Operation
Using the tower fan
When starting up the appliance for the first time, there may be a slight odor.
This is not a malfunction of the appliance. Please ensure that there is
adequate ventilation e.g. by opening a window.
Position the tower fan on a firm and stable surface to prevent the appliance
tipping over during operation.
Important information: Note that the appliance only works if the timer switch 7
is not in the OFF position. If the timer switch 7 is in the OFF position, the appliance
will not work and cannot be used.
Plug the power plug into a properly-installed power outlet with the grid voltage
stated on the identification plate.
Timer switch
The timer switch has an on/off function in addition to setting the chosen
operating time of up to 120 minutes. The timer switch can be set to the ON
and OFF positions. Note that the appliance only works if the timer switch is
not in the OFF position. If the timer switch is in the OFF position, the
appliance will not work and cannot be used.
Your appliance has a timer function, i.e. you can use the timer switch 7 to set a
running time of up to 120 minutes. The appliance switches off automatically after the
set time (timer switch 7 is in the OFF position).
To use the appliance with the timer function, proceed as follows:
1. Turn the timer switch 7 clockwise to the chosen operating time between the
OFF position and 120 minutes.
2. Make the required settings as described below in the ‘Basic operation’ section.
The appliance will start to operate.
3. The appliance switches off automatically after the set operating time (timer switch
is in the OFF position).

Operation
If you want to operate the appliance without a timer function, and therefore without
an automatic shut-off, set the timer switch 7 to the ON position by turning it
anti-clockwise.
Basic operation
You can run your tower fan at different speed settings. The 4-step switch offers the
following options, which you can choose by pressing the appropriate button.
Setting OFF = OFF
Setting 1 = Gentle airflow
Setting 2 = Medium airflow
Setting 3 = Strong airflow
The automatic swivel function can also be activated in settings 1-3. Press the swivel
function button 9 to activate this function and distribute air horizontally in the
room. To deactivate the swivel function, press the swivel function 9 button again.
