SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read carefully and store for future use!
Warning: The safety steps and instructions in this user's manual do not include all the possible condi-
tions and situations which may arise. The user must understand that a factor that cannot be built into
any product is common sense, caution and care. These factors must therefore come from the user/s us-
ing and operating this product. We do not take responsibility for damages caused during transport, by
incorrect use, by voltage fluctuations or a change or modification of any part of the product.
To prevent the d anger of are occ urring or i njury by ele ctric shock, basic provision s shou ld be adhered
to when using electric products, including the following:
1. Make sure that the voltage in your power socket corresponds to the voltage on the product's label
and that the power socket is properly earthed. The power socket must be installed according to valid
safety regulations.
2. Never use the iron if the power cord is damaged. Have all repairs including power cord replace-
ment done in an authorised service! Do not remove protective covers from the product as
there exists a danger of injury by electric shock!
3. To avoid po tential injury by electri c shock, pro tect the applianc e from direct contact w ith wate r and
other liquids.
4. Do not use the steam iron outdoors or in a wet environment. Do not touch the power cord or the
product with wet hands. There is a danger of injury by electric shock.
5. The iron must not be used, if it fell and there is visible damage or if it leaks.
6. Pay extra attention if using the steam iron near children!
7. Iron should not be left in operation without supervision. Before filling the iron with water and before
emptying it first disconnect the iron from the power socket.
8. We recommend that you do not leave the iron with the power cord inserted in the power socket
without supervision. Before carrying out maintenance pull the power cord out of the power socket.
Do not pull the plug out of the power socket by pulling on the cord. Pull the cord out of the power
socket by holding the power plug.
9. Do not use the iron near flammable objects or under them, e.g. near curtains. Contact with hot
metal parts, hot water or steam may cause burns. When turning the iron over be very careful -
there may be hot water in the tank.
10. The power cord must not touch any hot parts or go over sharp edges.
11. Immediately after finishing using the product always disconnect it from the power source and before
storage allow it to completely cool down.
12. Do not use an chemical agents, aromatic substances, decalcification agents or accessories, which
are not recommended by the manufacturer. By not adhering to these instructions you risk voiding
the warranty.
13. Use the steam iron only in accordance with the instructions included in this user's manual. This
steam iron is intended for household use only. The manufacturer takes no responsibility for
damages caused by the incorrect use of this product.
14. This product may not be used by any persons (including children) with mental disabilities, weak
strength or by inexperienced persons, unless they have been properly trained or schooled in the safe

Description
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before first use check that the dual voltage is set to 230V!
Before putting into operation
First remove the protective foil from the ironing surface! The iron has to be used and set on a stable
surface.
When ironing for the first time heat up the iron without water to the highest level. During thisa light
smoke and odour may come out of the ironwhich will however soon disappear. Then you may fill the
water tank. Allow the iron after being fi lled and heated to create steam for at least 1 minute andduring
this press the steam burst button several times, to remove potential remains from the manufacturing
process. Before first use on your laundry we recommend that you test the iron on some ordinary cloth,
or wipe.
Filling the water tank
Before filling the water tank pull out the power cord plug from the power socket!
Turn the handle of the iron upwards (pic. 6) Set the temperature regulator to position "". Hold the iron
in a tilted position and pour water into the lling opening up to the max. mark (pic. 2). Use only water
from a water tap. Using distilled or demineralized water may lower the effectiveness of the decalcification
system by change of the physical and chemical characteristics. Use the container enclosed with the
product for filling it with water. The iron may not be filled with water directly from the tap!
Setting temperature
First sort the laundry that you wish to iron according to the international symbols on the tags of the
laundry. If these are missing, sort the laundry according to the fabric type.

fabrics, that must not be ironed
We recommend that fabrics with unusual surface treatments (e.g. decorations, embroidery, prints, etc.)
are ironed at the lowest temperature.
If it is a compound fabric (e.g. 40% cotton, 60% synthetic), set the regulator according to the fabric
requiring the lower temperature.
If you do not know the composition of the fabric, set the temperature by carrying out a test on the least
visible part of the garment. Start with the lowest temperature and slowly turn it up until you achieve
the ideal temperature.
Never iron places with sweat stains etc. the heat from the iron will fi x the stains to the fabric making it
impossible to remove them.
The removal of grease is more effective if you use a dry iron at medium temperature: excessive heat will
burn it and there is a risk that yellow stains will be created.
To prevent "shiny" stains forming on silk, wool or synthetics, iron them turned over from the inside.
To prevent "shiny" stains forming on velvet, iron it in one direction (along the fi bre) and do not press
down on the iron.
The more laundry you put into the washing machine the more the laundry will be crinkled. Laundry
becomes more crinkled when spinning at high speeds.
For many types of fabrics it is easier to iron them if they are not fully dry. E.g. silk should always be ironed
damp.
Set the ironing temperature with the temperature regulator according to the type of fabric (pic 1). When
the indicator light is on it signals the heating up of the ironing surface. When the indicator light turns off
it means that the required temperature has been achieved and you may begin ironing.
While ironing the plate temperature indicator light will sometimes turn on, indicating the maintenance
of the set temperature. If after completing the ironing at a high temperature you lower the temperature
using the regulator, do not iron, until the iron surface temperature indicator light turns on again.
Note: Because cooling down takes longer than heating up, we recommend that fabrics requiring lower
temperatures are ironed fi rst. This limits delays and eliminates the risk of burning through fabrics.
IRONING AND THE STEAM FUNCTION
Ironing without steam
When ironing without steam set the steam regulator to "min" and set the temperature according to
the fabric type.
Ironing with steam
To iron with steam, temperature should be set to the "••" position.
For the maximum steam amount we recommend that the temperature is set to "•••".

Ironing with the steam burst
To iron out hard to remove creases with a strong steam burst slowly (thick diffusion) or quickly (fi ne dif-
fusion) press the steam burst button [pic. 5].
For fi ne fabrics we recommend that the fabrics are dampened or that a damp wiping cloth is placed
between the iron and the fabric before using the diffusion function. To prevent stains from forming, do
not use the diffuser on silk or synthetics.
Automatic steam emission function
To set the emission of steam corresponding to the temperature of the ironing surface, turn the steam
regulator to the on position.
Sprinkling function
After dampening hard to remove creases press the sprinkling function (pic. 4).

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before any maintenance disconnect the product from the electric grid! Clean the product always on
a product that has fully cooled down!
All sediments, starch or conditioner remains can be removed using a damp (not wet) wiping cloth or
a gentle liquid cleaning agent and then dried using a soft dry cloth. Make sure you do not scratch the
ironing surface with steel wool or metal objects. Never clean the iron under running water, do not rinse
and do not submerge in water!
Before storing the steam iron always make sure that it has cooled down, it is clean and dry (empty the
water tank by turning the iron upside down (pic. 3). Press the handle folding button and fold it (pic. 7.).
Always store the iron in a vertical position.
