King Canada SS-EXT-101 is a universal wood lathe stand extension, designed to fit the SS-KWL-100 stand and compatible with King Canada 10” x 16” Wood Lathe (mod. KWL-1016C) and Bed Extension (mod. EXT-1016) or 12” x 18” Variable Speed Wood Lathe (mod. KWL-1218VS) and Bed Extension (mod. EXT-1218VS). It allows for a variety of midi and mini wood lathes with bed extensions to be mounted on the stand, providing a stable and secure platform for woodworking projects.

LIMITED TOOL WARRANTY

King Canada makes every effort to ensure that this product meets high quality and durability standards. King Canada warrants to the

original retail consumer a 2-year limited warranty as of the date the product was purchased at retail and that each product is free from

defects in materials. Warranty does not apply to defects due directly or indirectly to misuse, abuse, normal wear and tear, negligence

or accidents, repairs done by an unauthorized service centre, alterations and lack of maintenance. King Canada shall in no event be

liable for death, injuries to persons or property or for incidental, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our products.

To take advantage of this limited warranty, return the product at your expense together with your dated proof of purchase to an

authorized King Canada service centre. Contact your retailer or visit our web site at www.kingcanada.com for an updated listing of our

authorized service centres. In cooperation with our authorized serviced centre, King Canada will either repair or replace the product if

any part or parts covered under this warranty which examination proves to be defective in workmanship or material during the

warranty period.

ASSEMBLY & ADJUSTMENT

WARNING! IF ANY PART IS MISSING OR DAMAGED,

DO NOT INSTALL WOOD LATHE IN UNTIL YOU HAVE

REPLACED THE MISSING OR DAMAGED PART. For

your safety, complete the assembly of the wood lathe

stand before attempting to install or operate.

ASSEMBLING EXTENSIONTO STAND (STAND

MOD. SS-KWL-100)

1. Locate base with leveling feet (A) Fig.1 and the vertical

post (B) and assemble them together using 2 hex. bolts,

4 washers and 2 hex. nuts.

2. Install the large horizontal post (C) Fig.1 to the vertical

post (B) using 2 hex. bolts, 4 washers and 2 hex. nuts.

3. Install the small horizontal post (D) Fig.1 to the vertical

post (E) of the stand using 2 hex. bolts, 4 washers and

2 hex. nuts from the stand.

4. Slide the small horizontal post (D) Fig.1 into the large

horizontal post (C) and tighten the 2 hex. bolts (F) on

each side of the large horizontal post.

5. Before installing the support post (G) Fig.1 to the

vertical post (B), determine the desired height, then

secure it using 2 hex. bolts, 4 washers and 2 hex. nuts.

LEVELING STAND

1. Place a bubble level across the support post (G) Fig.1. Make sure the

support post is perfectly level. If the support post is not level, an

adjustment is needed.

2. Loosen hex. nut (A) Fig.2, then turn hex. bolt (B) to adjust the height of

that corresponding corner. Once both corners have been checked and

adjusted, retighten the hex. nuts (A) against the base.

INSTALLING WOOD LATHE WITH BED EXTENSION ON STAND

This extension, combined with the universal stand (mod. SS-KWL-100) are

designed to mount King Canada 10” x 16” Wood Lathe (mod. KWL-1016C)

and Bed Extension (mod. EXT-1016) or 12” x 18” Variable Speed Wood

Lathe (mod. KWL-1218VS) and Bed Extension (mod. EXT-1218VS) as well

as a variety of other midi and mini wood lathes with bed extensions.

This stand extension does not include hardware needed to secure your wood lathe bed extension, depending on the model of wood lathe

extension you have the following hardware must be purchased.

Hardware needed to install 10” x 16” Wood Lathe Bed Extension (mod. EXT-1016):

• 2 x Hex. bolts (3/8” x 16 x 30mm)

• 2 x Washers (M10)

Hardware needed to install 12” x 18” Wood Lathe bed Extension (mod. EXT-1218VS):

• 2 x Hex. bolts (M8 x 1.25 x 25mm)

• 2 x Washers (M8)

1. Remove the 2 rubber feet of your wood lathe bed extension. Assemble the wood lathe and the bed extension together, then position wood

lathe assembly on all three support posts (G) Fig.1. Secure wood lathe assembly with purchased hardware. Make sure stand and wood lathe

hardware has been tightened properly to avoid unwanted vibrations.
