SPECIFIC PRODUCT WARNINGS AND PRECAUTIONS
1. MAINTAIN A SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT. Keep work area well lit. Make sure
there is adequate surrounding work space.
2. DO NOT FORCE THE EQUIPMENT. The Turn Tables will do the work better and
safer below or at the weight capacity (3,000 Lbs. or 1.5 Tons per pair) for which
they were designed. Do not exceed the weight capacity. The Turn Tables will
break under dynamic loading. Caution: Always be aware of Dynamic Loading. If
you drop a weight on the Turn Tables, it may create for a brief instant, an excess
load. The Turn Tables are designed for 3,000 lbs. or 1.5 Tons per pair maximum
load; do not exceed.

3. MAKE SURE THE TURN TABLES ARE POSITIONED ON A DRY, FLAT, LEVEL
SURFACE. Do not position the Turn Tables on an uneven surface or a surface
covered with ice, grease, oil, or any other substance that may cause the Turn
Tables to tip over or slide when driving a vehicle up onto the Turn Tables.
4. ADDITIONAL HELP MAY BE REQUIRED TO GUIDE THE VEHICLE ONTO
THE TURN TABLES. Another person, standing a safe distance away from the
vehicle, may be needed to act as a visual guide as you drive the vehicle onto the
Turn Tables.
5. ALWAYS MAINTAIN THE SLOWEST SPEED POSSIBLE WHEN DRIVING THE
VEHICLE ONTO AND OFF OF THE TURN TABLES.
6. ONCE THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN POSITIONED ON THE TURN TABLES
IMMEDIATELY TURN OFF THE ENGINE, SET THE PARKING BRAKE, AND
BLOCK THE REAR TIRES. Never attempt to use the Turn Tables while the
engine is running. Turn off the engine, set the parking brake, carefully exit the
vehicle, and block the rear tires with wheel chocks or blocks of wood to prevent
the vehicle from rolling while being serviced.
7. NOTE: It is recommended that the vehicle manufacturer’s manual, and/or a
qualified technician, be consulted to determine the front end wheel alignment
degree of tolerance difference allowable for the vehicle make and model being
tested.
8. NEVER WORK UNDERNEATH A VEHICLE WITHOUT USING ADDITIONAL
SAFETY SUPPORT DEVICES (I.E., JACK STANDS) TO SUPPORT THE
VEHICLE.
9. The Turn Tables are not designed to be used with jack stands and no one
should work under vehicle while vehicle is on Turn Tables.
UNPACKING
When unpacking, check to make sure all parts shown on the Parts List (page 8) are
included. If any parts are missing or broken, please call Harbor Freight Tools at the
number shown on the cover of this manual as soon as possible.
PRODUCT OVERVIEW
1. The Turn Tables are designed to indicate whether the front end wheel alignment
of a compact car or lightweight truck is in need of adjustment.
2. Should the Turn Tables indicate a need for front end wheel alignment adjustment
(usually by means of adjusting the vehicle’s tie rods), it is recommended that only
a qualified technician perform the service, and not while the vehicle is still on the
Turn Tables.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Proper Positioning Of The Turn Tables:
1. CAUTION: Make sure the Turn Tables are positioned on a dry, flat, level surface
capable of supporting the weight of the Turn Tables and vehicle being tested. Do
not position the Turn Tables on an uneven surface or a surface covered with ice,
grease, oil, or any other substance that may cause the Turn Tables to tip over or
slide when driving a vehicle up onto the Turn Tables.
2. To determine the correct distance between the Turn Tables, it is recommended
that you measure the distance (on-center) between the front tires of the vehicle
that is to be driven onto the Turn Tables. Then, use the same on-center mea-
surement to position the Turn Tables. (See Figure A.)
3. When positioning the Turn Tables on the floor surface, make sure the side that
has the Scale Pin (part #11) faces outward on both sides of the vehicle.
(See Figure A, and Assy. Diagram.)
3. Make sure to evenly align the Turn Tables on the floor surface area.
(See Figure A.)

When Driving A Vehicle Onto The Turn Tables:
1. After the Turn Tables are properly positioned, check to make sure the two Pins
(part #1) in each Turn Table are inserted through the Top Plate (part #4) and
Base (part #9). Also, make sure the Scale Pin (part #11) is at the “0” setting on
the Scale Plate (part #2). (See Figures B, C, and Assy. Diagram.)

2. Another person, standing a safe distance away from the vehicle, may be needed
to act as a visual guide as you drive the vehicle onto the Turn Tables.
3. When the Turn Tables are properly aligned with the vehicle’s front tires, make
sure to approach and drive straight onto the Turn Tables at the slowest possible
speed.
4. Stop the vehicle when the front tires are centered with the Scale Pin (part #11).

7. Turn the steering wheel of the vehicle as far to the right as possible, and hold the
steering wheel while another person takes an accurate reading (in 0 to 45 degree
increments) from the Scale Plate (part #2) of each Turn Table.
8. Compare the readings taken from the Scale Plate (part #2) of each Turn Table.
9. Turn the steering wheel of the vehicle as far to the left as possible, and hold
while another person takes an accurate reading (in 0 to 45 degree increments)
from the Scale Plate (part #2) of each Turn Table.
10. Compare the readings taken from the Scale Plate (part #2) of each Turn Table.
11. As with most vehicles, if the two Scale Plate (part #2) comparison readings differ
from only 0 to 5 degrees , this will indicate no front wheel alignment adjustment
is necessary. Should the comparison readings differ over 5 degrees, it is recom-
mended that the front end wheel alignment be serviced by a qualified technician.
12. NOTE: It is further recommended that the vehicle manufacturers manual, and/or
a qualified technician, be consulted to determine the front end wheel alignment
degree of tolerance difference allowable for the vehicle make and model being
tested.
13. Once the front end alignment test has been performed, remove the wheel chocks
or blocks of wood from the rear tires of the vehicle, and make sure to back the
vehicle in reverse gear off the Turn Tables at the slowest possible speed.
INSPECTION, MAINTENANCE, AND CLEANING
1. Before each use, inspect the general condition of the Turn Tables. Check for
loose screws, misalignment, binding of moving parts, broken parts, and any other
condition that may affect their safe operation. If a problem exists, immediately
discontinue using the Turn Tables and have them serviced by a qualified techni-
cian. Do not use damaged equipment.
2. Keep the Turn Tables free of oil and grease. Use only a mild detergent and
damp cloth when cleaning. Do not use a flammable or combustible solvents to
clean the Turn Tables.
3. Once clean, lubricate all moving parts with a light oil.
