GENERAL INFORMATION
Due to requirements in the State of Florida that require extra measures to prevent damage from hurricane-force
(144 mph) winds, high-wind hold-down kits (option CJA6 for vertical curbs or CJA7 for horizontal curbs) are offered
for securing a P125 model unit to its curb base. This kit may be installed on new or existing installations. Table 1
lists available kits, their applicability and components, and quantities used per cabinet side.

INSTALLATION
Install the high-wind hold-down kit as follows. For additional information, refer to the APPENDIX.
1. Refer to Table 1 to select appropriate kit for type of curb and cabinet used.
NOTE: Mounting hardware must be installed on all four cabinet/curb sides.
2. Refer to the following figures for where to install hardware included in each kit:
a. For cabinet 0 installations, see Figure 1.
b. For cabinet 1 or cabinet 2 (without energy recovery wheel option) installations, see Figure 2.
c. For cabinet 2 (with energy recovery wheel option) installations, see Figure 3.
d. For cabinet 3 installations, see Figure 4.
NOTE: Wind anchor brackets must be vertically-aligned and spaced equidistantly from each other
on each cabinet side. Brackets must be 10 inches from cabinet corners.
3. Pre-drill holes at mounting hardware locations using 3/8-inch bit in sheet metal cabinet for self-tapping
screws and in wooden curb flange for lag screws. Ensure that wind anchor brackets will be vertically-
aligned, spaced equidistantly from each other on each cabinet side, and 10 inches from cabinet corners.
4. Attach kit hardware as follows:
a. For cabinet 0 installations, secure cabinet to curb base using three lag screws tightened into wooden curb
flange at each hardware location.
b. For cabinet 1, 2, or 3 installations, secure wind anchor brackets to cabinet using self-tapping screws and secure
brackets to curb base using lockwashers and lag screws tightened into wooden curb flange.
