A - 2012 is the year that has been mandated by the Office of Energy Efficiency and renewable Energy of the US Department of Energy to
phase out the manufacturing of standing gas pilot ranges across the country.
Q - Will I be able to buy a standing gas pilot range in 2012?
A - Yes, if a standing gas pilot range is available for sale you are able to purchase one for both direct use and/or resale as desired. Nothing will change in this regard.
However, product availability of standing gas pilot ranges is projected to rapidly decrease over time and it will become increasingly difficult to source a new
standing pilot range as we move forward with this changeover.
Q - What are Range Manufacturers doing to provide a cost-effective option for those who desire and/or need the features and benefits of a standing gas pilot range?
A - Most Range manufacturers are not seeking to offer a timely and satisfactory response to the eventual loss of standing gas pilot ranges. The exception to this industry
