Important safeguards
Please read through the manual carefully before connection and operation.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or product damage, do not expose the unit to
sunbeams, rain, moisture, dripping or splashing and don’t let objects filled with liquids, such as vase, be
placed on the unit.
CAUTION!
 Do not install or place this unit in a bookcase, build-in cabinet or in another confined space. Ensure
the unit is well ventilated. To prevent risk of electric shock or fire hazard due to overheating, ensure
that newspapers, tablecloths, curtains and any other materials do not cover the ventilation vents.
 Do not place sources of open flame, such as lighted candles, on the unit.
 Dispose of batteries in an environmentally friendly manner.
Voltage: Use current source with voltage ~100-240 V, otherwise grid overload may arise, which can entail
fire. Don’t use constant-current source.
Supply-line cord protection: Make sure that the cord is right connected and does not have any damage.
Incorrect attachment and damage of cord may cause fire and electrical shock.
Service: Do not try to eliminate breakages by your own. When the sound is off, the indicator does not
light, the smoke appears or any other troubles take place, which were not mentioned in this manual, please,
call your dealer or service center.

connection and operation. Please keep this manual for future reference.
Hyundai DVD Micro System is a new generation micro system, which can produce high quality video and
audio. Its performance is much better than that of any previous home video playing equipment; it will give

Disc features
Different DVD discs have different combination of features, this is because of the different design created
by the order and manufacturer, and the following symbols indicate some features of the DVD disc.

Handling discs
 When holding discs, please hold it by its rim.
 When holding discs, be sure the label side should be upwards
 Do not grasp the non-label side of the disc.
Disc storage
 Never store disc in the place with high temperature, strong light or humidity.
 Put the disc back to the case after playback.
Cleaning
 Wipe the discs from time to time using a soft cloth. Always wipe from the center towards the edge.
 Do not use daily used detergent to clean the disc.
 Protect discs against any fingerprint, do not stick or white anything on the surface of the disc.

Disc Terms
Title
Generally, pictures or music compressed on a DVD are divided into several sections that is “title”.
Chapter
The smaller section unit of picture or music in a DVD under the title, usually one title is comprised of one
or more chapters and each of them is numbered for easy searching. But some discs may not have a
recording chapter.
Track
A fragment of picture or music on an SVCD, VCD or CD disc. Each track is numbered for searching.
Scene
VCD with playback control function, on which active and stillness picture divided into certain portions is
called scene, and every scene will be showed on screen menu with a scene number that can be easily found
while on playing. A scene usually is formed with one or several tracks.
PBC function (SVCD, VCD)
If a SVCD or a VCD is played a content menu may be showed on screen, this is what is called “Play back
control” viz. PBC function.
Disc sort Functions
VCD without PBC function
(1.1 version)
Supports both music and images.
SVCD/VCD with PBC
function (2.0 version)
In order to play pictures from VCD the menu indicated on the screen can
be used.
Note: Not all DivX versions are supported. The unit supports not all MP3 discs. It depends on bit rate of
the MP3 file. The supported MP3 bit rate range is 64 kbps to 256 kbps.

Installation/Connection
Installation (Wall mounting)
1. Connect all cables and secure into place.
2. Fix the wall bracket in place using two screws ensuring the locking pin hole is facing upwards. Then
screw the second part of the bracket in place using the two screws, ensuring the locking pin hole is
facing upwards. Finally slide the unit onto the wall bracket and secure in place using the locking pin.
Stand installation
The unit can also be mounted on a stand. Place the unit on the stand and secure into place using the screws
provided.
Connection
Note: Please turn off all the equipment power before connecting.
Connecting the TV
1. This DVD player has video output mode, you can choose it to connect with the TV terminal.
2. If your TV has component input terminal, then you can use the signal connecting cable to connect with
the DVD player’s component output terminal. By doing so, the picture will be more clear.
3. To avoid affecting the picture output, do not connect video, component, HDMI at the same time.

Connecting to a TV with HDMI jack
Use a HDMI cable to connect the HDMI jack on the DVD Player to HDMI IN on a HDMI compatible
device (e.g.: TV, Projector, Adaptor).
Note: If you use the HDMI, make sure that “HDMI SETUP” is set to ON”. Please see “HDMI SETUP”
for further details.
Connecting the Antenna
1. Using the supplied wire Antenna.
2. Using the coaxial type connector. A 75Ohm antenna with coaxial type connector should be connected
to the FM 75 ohm coaxial terminal.
3. If reception is poor, connect the outside antenna.
Note: Before attaching a 75 ohm coaxial lead (the kind with a round wire going to an outside antenna),
disconnect the supplied FM wire antenna.
Caution: To avoid noise, keep antennas away from the system, the connecting cord and the AC cord.
Connecting Control Cable
Connect signal line between the main set and the sub-woofer back board.
Connecting AUX
This sub-woofer has one audio input terminal, you can use signal line to connect audio input terminal of
this unit and audio output terminal of other equipment respectively, then you can hear the sound sources.

Note: Press the function select button FUNCTION on the unit or the button AUX on the RC to select AUX
function. When you are connecting AUX audio terminals, please press this function button.
Connecting the Speakers
Connect the speaker cords between the terminals as shown below.
Connect the cords with a red line to the (+) (L) (R) terminals and cords with a silver line to the (-) (G)
terminals.
Connecting the AC Power Cord
Insert the AC power cord into a wall outlet, and your system is at your command.
Note: Be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet when going away or the system is not in use for an
extended period of time.
Connection precautions
1. This unit has a high power output and wide dynamic range. If speakers other than those supplied are
used, they must be chosen according to speaker specification, or the speakers can be damaged.
2. Before connecting or removing mains power, please turn off the power on the unit and turn the
volume to minimum or it may damage the speakers.

System setup
Note: Some menus may be different from real OSD menu. The setup menu instruction is only for your
reference.
1. Press SETUP button to enter the setup menu. In Setup mode, press SETUP button again to quit the
setup page.
2. Use the LEFT/RIGHT buttons to choose the setup page: General setup page, Audio setup page, Video
setup page, Preference page, Password setup, Exit.
3. Press the DOWN button to enter the setup page selected.
4. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the option you want to adjust.
5. Press RIGHT to enter the adjustment list. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the adjustment and
press ENTER button to confirm and LEFT button to return to options list.
6. To return to setup page list press the LEFT button in the options list.
Note: Some setup items are concerning the present modes. The items in gray can't be set up. The
setup is memorized and kept after power off.
General setup page
 TV DISPLAY
4:3 PS: When the unit connects to the normal TV set, the wide-screen image shows on the full screen, but
some part is cut off.
4:3 LB: When the unit connects to the normal TV set, the wide-screen image shows and black bars appear
on the top and bottom of screen.
16:9: Use this item when the unit is connected with the wide screen TV set.
 OSD LANGUAGE
Select on-screen display language.
 SCREEN SAVER
If the Screen saver is set On and the unit is switched on without a disc playing for several minutes, a
moving picture appears on the screen, and the unit will go to standby mode after several minutes. You can
press STANDBY button on the RC to wake it up.

Analog audio
 DOWNMIX
LT/RT: The audio out is Left and Right channels format.
STEREO: The audio out format is stereo.
Digital audio setup
SPDIF OFF: no digital signal out (coaxial output off), only analog audio output.
SPDIF/RAW: no decoding in the amplifier digital signal input.
SPDIF/PCM: digital signal output in the decoded PCM form.
Dolby digital setup
Stereo: stereo output signal,
L-Mono: left output signal,
R-Mono: right output signal,
3D
The setting provides following effects: Off, Concert, Living Room, Hall, Bathroom, Cave, Arena and
Church.
HDCD
You can select the digital filter Off, 44.1k, 88.2k.
Video setup
 COMPONENT
You can setup this according to TV video output type. Choose CVBS or Pr/CR Pb/Cb Y.
Note: This setting is available only when the HDMI SETUP is set to OFF”.
 TV MODE
Select P-Scan (progressive) or Interlace modes.
 PICTURE SETUP
You can set sharpness, brightness, contrast, gamma, hue, saturation, luma delay according to your
preference.
 HD MODE
When HDMI is ON, select 480p (60Hz), 720p (60Hz), 1080i (60Hz), 576p (50Hz), 720p (50Hz), 1080i
(50Hz) resolution modes.

Preference setup
 TV TYPE
This unit is suitable for all kinds of TV systems. You can select one of the PAL, NTSC or Auto.
Auto: the TV system is auto switched according to the disc system.
NTSC: this system is used in USA, Taiwan, Japan etc.
PAL: this system is used in China, Europe, Hong Kong etc.
 AUDIO, SUBTITLE, DISC MENU LANGUAGE SETUP
These are the initial settings by your preference. If a setting is supported by disc content, it will work.
Otherwise the disc default value works. And these settings can be changed respectively by pressing
AUDIO and SUBTITLE buttons when playing.
 PARENTAL
The control level is for parental to control playing content and protect your children from violence and
erotic. The disc, the level of which is higher than the setting level cannot be played.
 COUNTRY REGION
Refer to the selling market of this product; you can choose a corresponding region as China, France, HK
China, Japan, TW China, GBR and USA.
 DEFAULT
Reset to the initial factory setups
Password setup
Change the password. The initial factory password is 1234. You can set your own password. If you forget
your own password, you can use 1234 as general password.

Functions
STANDBY
Press STANDBY button to turn the system on or off (the clock will be displayed).
Note: Be sure to unplug the power cord from the outlet when going away or the system is not in use for an
extended period of time.
FUNCTION
In power on mode, press FUNCTION button to select the function you want (TUNER, DVD, USB, AUX).
EJECT
Place the disc into the disc slot (with the printed side face to you), and then press it downward slightly. The
unit will play it automatically. When the disc playing, press EJECT button to take the disc out, press this
button again, the disc will go into the disc slot.
DVD
In power on mode, press DVD button to select DVD function.
TUNER
In power on mode, press TUNER button to select FM function.
DIM
This unit has several brightness levels for you to adjust the display to light or dark. Press DIM button, then
you can choose the lighting level you need.
P-EQ
You can adjust the sound reproduced simply by choosing from different preset equalizations. Each press of
P-EQ button will select one of the following different preset equalizations:
FLAT Normal sound
ROCK For rock
CLAS For classic
JAZZ For jazz
SUBTITLE
When you are playing the DVD disc, you can repeatedly press SUBTITLE button to select the subtitle
language to display on the TV screen if available.
TITLE
In play mode, press TITLE button to go back to the title menu.
SETUP
Press SETUP button to set the function of this unit.
Cursor, ENTER
Press the cursor buttons to move the cursor to select the item. Press ENTER button to confirm the menu
selection.
CLOCK
In standby mode, press CLOCK button to set the clock.
PREVIOUS/NEXT
When playing DVD disc, press NEXT button to skip to the next chapter or title.

When playing CD disc, press NEXT button to skip to the next track.
When playing DVD disc, press PREVIOUS button to skip to the previous chapter or title.
When playing CD disc, press PREVIOUS button to skip to the previous track.
PLAY/PAUSE, STOP
Press PLAY/PAUSE button to start playing the disc. Press STOP button to stop playing, the unit will store
the last playing time in the memory automatically, then press PLAY/PAUSE, the unit will resume to last
memory time and continue playback.
FAST REWIND/FAST FORWARD
Press FAST REWIND button repeatedly to select one of different speeds to fast backward play or select
normal speed to play. Each time you press the button the screen shows:

Note: Press PLAY/PAUSE button to resume normal playback.
MODE (repeat)
One title, one chapter, one track or all the disc repeat play can be set by pressing the mode button.
When playing a DVD disc, this function can be used to play a title, chapter or disc repeatedly. Repeatedly
press MODE button, the screen shows in circle:
When playing a CD disc, this function can be used to play a track or folder repeatedly. Repeatedly press
MODE button, the screen shows orderly:
When playing MP3 disc, this function can be used to play a track or all disc repeatedly. Repeatedly press
MODE button, the screen shows orderly:
MENU, Number buttons
Load a Video CD disc in PBC ON mode (MENU button turns the PBC function ON/OFF). If the Video
CD has a menu, you can set the playback control function to PBC ON” mode by pressing MENU button.
The unit reads the disc and the menu will display on the TV screen. You can select tracks or chapters with
number buttons (0-9,10+). If the track or chapter number is less than 10, press number buttons 0-9. If the
track or chapter number is over 10, press 10+ button and press the one of number buttons 0-9. (For
example the number is 28, press 10+ button twice and press number button 8.
When playing DVD disc, press MENU button to return to the root menu for previous layer.
MUTE

Press MUTE button in play mode, all sound will be muted, press the button again to resume sound.
USB
In power mode, press USB button to enter USB mode.
AUX
In power mode, press AUX function button to select AUX mode.
LOUDNESS
This unit has a loudness function, it can automatically increase the bass sound at low volume (the higher
the volume, the smaller bass increase), which improves the output sound. You only need to press the
LOUDNESS button to activate the loudness function when it is playing.
S-BASS
Press S-BASS button to reinforce the bass sound to maintain rich, full bass at low volume, press this button
again to cancel the effect.
ZOOM
This function can be used while playing a film or a still picture. Press ZOOM button repeatedly when
playing, the screen shows:
Use cursor buttons to move around the enlarged picture.
AUDIO
When playing a Video CD, you can choose MONO (LEFT MONO, RIGHT Mono), STEREO audio output
by pressing AUDIO button.
When playing DVD disc recorded with several languages, you can repeatedly press AUDIO button to
select one of languages to play.
SLEEP/TIMER
If you want to set the daily timer or the sleep timer, press SLEEP/TIMER button.
VOLUME buttons (VOL+/VOL-)
Press VOL+ button to increase the volume. Press VOL- button to decrease the volume.
OSD/RDS
Press OSD button to display the playing information of the disc on the TV screen.
PROGRAM
If your DVD disc has one or more music chapters or titles, you can setup playing order for disc using this
button. Press and then use the 1-9,10+ buttons to input the sequence number, which you want to program
playing (the first selection is title and the second selection is chapter of the programs menu.). After
finishing program, press the cursor buttons to select “STARTthen press ENTER button to start
programmed play or select “STOP” and “EXIT” to exit the program. (If you setup disc playing order over
10, press “I>” or NEXT button to setup.)
If you are playing the CD disc press PROGRAM button and use the 1-9,10+ buttons to input the sequence
number you want to program playing. After the program has been entered press the cursor buttons to select
Start” then press ENTER button to start programmed play or select “EXIT” to exit the program. (If you
setup a disc playing order over 10, press the “I> ” or NEXT button to continue to the next program screen.)

If you are playing the MP3 disc, when filelist is on the screen, select the files and press PROGRAM button
to add the files to the program list. Press MENU button to display the program list then press PROGRAM
button to delete unwanted files from the program list.
GOTO
Press GOTO button until the time or chapter/track edit box appears. Enter hours, minutes and seconds from
left to right in the time edit box using RC numerical keypad. Or enter your desired chapter/track number in
the chapter/track edit box using RC numerical keypad.
Playing Picture CD disc
Place the picture CD into the disc slot correctly, the unit will read the disc and play it automatically, if the
disc can not play automatically, press PLAY/PAUSE button to play. When the picture is displayed on the
TV screen, you can press the 10+, 0-9 buttons on the RC to select the needed picture on the disc then press
ENTER button to start playing.
Note: Play will continue until the final picture or when the selected pictures have been played.
When playing, use the L button to select different play mode.
Note: When playing a picture CD, press STOP button to enter the THUMBNAIL MODE, use cursor
buttons to select “MENU” then press ENTER button to enter the “REMOTE KEY FUNCTION” list.
[STOP]: entering picture thumbnail mode;
[NEXT]: next picture;
[PREV]: previous picture;
[PLAY]: to play picture;
Select CONTINUE to go to the next menu page.
[ZOOM]: change zoom mode;
[UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT]: move zoom center during zoom in picture.
Select EXIT MENU to exit.
Note:
Some JPEG format discs may not support rotation and zoom function.

USB
You can connect the USB flash to the USB jack at the side panel of unit. The unit will play MP3 music or
pictures from the flash directly.
1. Plug the USB flash into the USB jack.
2. Press FUNCTION button on unit or USB button on the RC to select the USB function.
3. Display shows “USB”.
4. MP3 music or pictures will be played automatically.
The unit supports USB drivers of maximum 4 Gb.
USB Storage Device Data Protection
 Always insert the USB device in the correct direction. Failure to do so may result in damage to the
USB device and this product.
 Do not remove the USB device while it is being accessed.
 Electrical interference and electrostatic discharges may cause the USB device to malfunction and suffer
damage, resulting in data loss.
Radio functions
Note: Before listening to the radio, please check if FM antenna is correctly connected.

Press FUNCTION button on the unit or TUNER button on the RC to select FM function.
Press FAST FORWARD button repeatedly to move from frequency to frequency until the next station is
found. Press and hold FAST FORWARD button for one second or more, the frequency will change up
automatically until a right station is found.
You also can operate the tuning forward key (TU+) on the unit.
Press FAST REWIND button repeatedly to move from frequency to frequency until the next station is
found. Press and hold FAST REWIND button, the frequency will change down automatically until a right
station is found. You also can operate the tuning backward key (TU-) on the unit.
You can store well tuned station by pressing PROGRAM button on the RC. (You can preset up to 16 FM
stations.) Tune in the desired station, then press PROGRAM button.
Press CH- button or CH+ button on the unit or NEXT/PREVIOUS buttons on the RC repeatedly to select
the preset number.
Note: If the system is unplugged or if a power failure occurs, the preset stations will remain stored in the
memory.
Press NEXT button repeatedly to select preset number after presetting station. Its band and frequency are
displayed on the display.
Press PREVIOUS button on the RC repeatedly to select preset number before presetting station. Its band
and frequency are displayed on the display.
Press MODE button to select the Stereo or Mono channel to receive the FM radio mode, it can get the best
effect.
RDS (Radio Data System) Reception
Many FM stations are broadcasting added data compatible with RDS. This radio set offers convenient
functions using such data.
 PS (Program Service Name)
When an RDS station is received, the RDS indicator lights and automatically displays the name of that
station instead of the frequency. When OSD/RDS button on the RC is pressed during PS display, the CT is
displayed for 3 seconds, then PS display returns.
PTY (Program Type)
Program type identification signal. (Example: News, Rock, Classical music.)
 CT (Clock Time System)
The CT system may not properly operate in areas where RDS CT service is not available. Once CT service
is received, the CT system keeps operating. “RDS CLOCK” is displayed in areas where no CT services are
available.
 Changing Display
During PS display, press OSD/RDS button on the RC repeatedly to select CT, PTY or Frequency. They
will be displayed for 3 seconds, then the PS display returns.
Clock/Timer Functions
Setting the Clock
The built-in clock shows the correct time in the display.
 In standby mode, press CLOCK button, the hour indicator will blink.
 Set the hour with the VOL+/VOL- buttons.
 Press CLOCK button, the minute indicator will blink.
 Set the minute with the VOL+/VOL- buttons.
 Press CLOCK button, the built-in clock starts operating and the seconds start counting from 0.
Notes:
 The operating time of every step shouldn’t be longer than 10 seconds or it will return to the original
display.
