USER MANUAL FOR BEEM OUTDOORS, LLC. 20KW
SILENT STANDBY GENERATOR SET
Engine coolant temperatures can reach as high as 158 degrees Fahrenheit,do not open
radiator cap while engine is hot or has been running more than a few minute.
3. Liquid petroleum gas (LPG)
When using LPG as fuel, make sure the pressure of LPG is normal, or the generator
unit will not start or could have an electrical which can cause damage to electrical
appliances and equipment.
DO NOT remove or loosen gas lines while running. Check for gas leaks prior to
starting the generator. Verify consistent line pressure for leaks by applying a soap and
water mixture applied to the line connections and joints or by using an in-line pressure
gauge. A leak may be indicated if the soap and water mixture forms bubbles around the
joints or connections. If testing by using an in-line pressure gauge. Once the gas line is
fully pressurized, check the pressure shown on the gauge, ten shut off the gas supply to
the line. If the line pressure decreases than a leak may be present. For testing
purposes, observe the joints, connections, or pressure gauge for at least one minute.
If a leak is detected or suspected, fix the leak prior to starting the generator.
The correct LPG pressure range for this generator is 2.0kpa—3.5kpa (0.29–
0.52psi)
4. Natural gas (NG)
The generator can use most residential or commercial NG as fuel. When using NG
as fuel, use the correct gas pressure and gas line interior diameter before staring or
using.
The gas flow and pressure can affect the running efficiency of generator.
The inside diameter of gas line should be φ14mm (9/16”) or larger. The gas
pressure within the line should range from 1.7Kpa—3.5Kpa (0.25 psi-0.51psi). A smaller
than indicated inside diameter for the gas line or lower than indicated gas pressure can
result in improper engine power and can cause electrical frequency problems that can
damage electrical appliances, equipment, fixtures.
5. Fuel Type
Refer to chapter 3.7 for alternative fuel options or to switch fuel types.
