GENERAL DATA
Electrical supply 240/50/1
Loading 220 watts
Fuse at 13 amps
Transmission #1 Gears - for blade drive
Transmission #2 Gears - for two speed carriage
Blade width 298mm
Features:-
1. Electrical safety interlock - machine will not
operate with knife guard cover removed.
2. Two speed automatic carriage, manually en-
gaged-disengaged.
CAUTION:- DANGER OF INJURY!
The blades are extremely sharp never leave the blade
exposed unnecessarily. Never work on a slicer still
plugged in to the electrical supply.

All machines are fitted with N.V.R system
Two speed carriage operation
Ensure the knob above is in, engage as shown
below, pull knob out and lift to engage to increase
speed.
Procedure
1. Do not attempt to engage the auto function of
the carriage whilst the machine is running UN-
LESS the carriage mechanism is manoevered right
up to the Indexer side FIRST. This will prevent a
sudden jolt occuring and causing possible injury.

Indexer
The thickness setting Indexer is adjustable to suit
the customer slicing requirements.
Important!
After servicing these machines the Indexer must
always be set to zero and check that the blade is not
exposed above the gauge plate, otherwise the
gauge plate/Indexer cam will need to be adjusted.
Sharpening Devices
Note: The sharpening should only be done when
necessary.
Procedure to sharpen blade.
Unplug the machine. Turn the Indexer to setting
number 50.
Install the sharpening device as shown above,
ensure the nurled retaining knob locates securely
into the recess on the underside of the gauge plate.
Plug in machine and switch on. Turn the Indexer
(clockwise) until the grinding wheel (coarsest)
engages onto the blade and grind for 5 secs approx,
then turn Indexer back to position 50 (anti-clock-
wise) so that grinding ceases. Follow this by press-
ing the deburring wheel (finest) for 5 secs max.
Keep the sharpening device stones clean, do not
use dirty or damaged wheels.

Guard safety switch operation:- In order to release the blade guard, the knob
needs to be rotated to loosen, this in turn moves a rod (inside the mechanism)
which operates a micrositch to prevevnt the slicer from operating.

Problem?
Carriage transmission sticks in
high speed position.
Check as follows:-
1. Press the diving key boss
towards the shaft (see pic
above). If the diving key boss
disengages from the shaft,
replace the diving key, if not
look elsewhere for the prob-
lem.
Diving key = 435543
Shaft = 293036
Order both these items in the
case of replacement.

Bushing - Liner
LATER STYLE CARRIAGE
The carrige bushing are being replaced by 437610
which includes a liner (437612), so that if the
liner becomes worn only the liner needs changing
in future.
Conversion - Two new bushings required
1. Using a hacksaw to cut old bushes in two then
drive them out with a drift.
2. Drive in new bushes using block of wood or soft
material so as not to damage bushes. Fit the liners,
clean and lubricate the slide rods.

later machines that have a blade guard
protection ring and is therefore linked
out
