Hobart 1712 is a meat slicer designed for use in commercial kitchens and butcher shops. It features a dual (fast or slow) speed, power-driven carriage that can be hand-operated when desired. The carriage driving arm operates whenever the slicer motor is running. The model 1712 comes with a Hobart “Stay-Sharp” stainless steel knife that should be sharpened only when necessary. It also has a fence that can improve the automatic operation of the slicer and a meat grip that can be rotated for use in any one of three positions.
