continue recording by overwriting images that
are currently recorded on the hard disk when
the normal recording area has become full.

1
Select [ON/OFF] from the pull-down menu
on the screen
ON: When the alarm recording area becomes full,
images will begin to be overwritten automatically
from the start of the alarm recording area.
OFF: Recording will stop when the alarm recording
area becomes full.
REMAINING DISK WARNING
The buzzer can be set to sound a warning if the
NORMAL RECORDING AREA OVERWRITE and
ALARM RECORDING AREA OVERWRITE
settings are OFF and the remaining disk
capacity becomes low (see p25). The remaining
disk value at which a warning will be given can
be specified here.

1
Select a picture quality mode from the pull-
down menu on the screen.

1
Select the recording mode from the pull-
down menu on the screen.
FIELD: Field recording
FRAME: Frame recording
6. NORMAL REC MODE SET
What is recording mode?
An image for transmission is made by vertically scanning the
whole screen twice. A rough screen that is vertically scanned
only once is called a “field”, and a complete screen that has
been vertically scanned twice is called a “frame (= two fields)”.
This unit can use both field recording and frame recording as
methods of capturing an image.

AUDIO RECORDING
(default setting: OFF)
Audio can also be recorded at the same time in
the normal recording area. However, when
audio is recorded, since the audio data is
recorded in the normal recording area, the
recording capacity of the normal recording area
will be reduced.
1
Select [ON/OFF] from the pull-down menu
on the screen
ON: Audio is recorded.
OFF: Audio is not recorded.
REC CYCLE
(default setting: A 0.24/0.12)
This sets the normal recording cycle in
accordance with a pre-set recording mode.
1
Select a recording cycle from the pull-down
menu on the screen.
The menu figures indicate FRAME mode recording cycles
on the left and FIELD mode recording cycles on the right.
Under the same conditions, FIELD mode uses half the
recording capacity consumed by FRAME mode.
A 0.04/0.02, A 0.08/0.04, A 0.12/0.06, A 0.16/0.08, A
0.24/0.12, 0.32/0.16, 0.40/0.20, 0.48/0.24, 0.56/0.28,
0.64/0.32, 0.72/0.36, 0.80/0.40, 0.88/0.44, 1.04/0.52,
1.20/0.60, 1.36/0.68, 1.52/0.76, 1.68/0.84, 1.84/0.92, 2/
1, 4/2, 6/3, 8/4, 10/5, 20/10, 40/20, 60/30 (Unit: sec)
Image precision is determined by “Picture quality/
Recording cycle”. The higher the picture quality
and the shorter the recording cycle, the higher the
image precision. But the quantity of recording
space consumed is proportional to the image
precision, and this reduces the recording time
accordingly. Please adjust the settings as
required.
Click [SAVE] to complete the submenu settings (or changes).
If pre-alarm recording is “ON”, the recording
cycle is restricted to A 0.12/0.06 - 60/30.

same as that for Sundays.
A holiday setting must be made in the case of unusual security on National holidays and
company holidays.
For example, if you wish for no timer recording at all to be done on Sundays and holidays,
set the Sunday timer to OFF. This setting will cause no timer recording to be done on a
Sunday.
Next, with this setting having been made, make a holiday setting by entering the date of the
holiday. Even if the date you have entered is an ordinary calendar day, it will be handled in
the same way as a holiday and no timer recording will be done.
