completely inserted into the internal Avaya P330 connector.

turning the knobs.
5 We recommended that you reset the Avaya P330.
Removing an Existing Expansion Module
1 Loosen the screws by turning the knobs.
2 Grasp the two knobs, one near each side of the front panel, and pull gently but
firmly towards yourself.
3 Insert another expansion module or the blanking plate.
4 We recommended that you reset the Avaya P330.
Note: You must not use the Avaya P330 switch when the expansion slot is

Installing and Removing GBIC Transceivers
Caution: Use only 5V Avaya-authorized 1.25 Gbit/s GBIC transceivers.
Two types of GBIC transceivers are supported, one fastened using snap-in clips and
the other using a locking spring.
GBIC Transceiver with Clips
• Insert the transceiver (take care to insert it the right way up, arrows on top) until
it clicks in place.
• To remove the transceiver, press the clips on either side of the transceiver at the
same time and pull the transceiver out.
GBIC Transceiver with a Locking Spring
• Ensure that there are no cables connected to the GBIC.
• Lift up the GBIC transceiver locking spring and insert the transceiver (take care
to insert it the right way up, it will not fit in upside down) until it is completely
inside the socket. To secure the GBIC transceiver in place, push down the
locking spring.
• To remove the GBIC, remove the cables, lift up the locking spring and pull out
