IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using your coffee maker, basic safety precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
1. Read all instructions carefully, even if you are familiar
with the appliance. The improper usage of this appliance
can cause electric shock, burns and personal injuries to
the users.
2. This appliance is intended to be used in household
and similar applications such as:
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working
environments;
by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type
environments;
3. Before connecting the coffee maker, check if the
voltage indicated on the appliance (underside of coffee
maker and base unit) corresponds with the mains
voltage in your home. If this is not the case, contact your
dealer and do not use the coffee maker.
4. Switch off the coffee maker before filling, emptying or
cleaning, or when not in use.
5. Do not overfill as the boiling coffee may be ejected.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
1. After taking the coffee maker out of the pack, insert the handle into the handle
connector. Please assemble the handle to its place on the body and
do not remove it again.
2. By using your coffee maker, you can prepare coffee.
3. Before first use, fill the coffee maker with clean water to maximum capacity and boil.
Discard the water and repeat the process.
4. The coffee maker should always be unplugged when filling or adding water. Please
place the coffee maker on its power base after filling the water to avoid the base get wet.
5. Fill the coffee maker with water to the desired level. Do not overfill or there will be a
risk of spillage or spitting. The water level indicator will assist you to measure the correct
amount.
6. Put sufficient quantity of cold water into your coffee maker according Max.300ML
7. Place the appliance onto the power base unit, and switch on the coffee maker by
simply pressing on/off switch
8. At this time mix your coffee for one or two times using stainless steel measuring and
mixing spoon
9. When the coffee starts bloating out, turn off the appliance and pour a little coffee into
the cups (for foam)
10. Replace your appliance onto the power base unit and restart the coffee maker, then
pour the coffee to the cup when the prepared coffee bloats out again.
11. You can prepare coffee in different measures according to your personal taste.
12. An automatic safety cut-out has been fitted for protection against running dry. If you
do not put in enough water, or switch on when it is empty, the safety cut-out will switch
off the power automatically. If this happens, wait a few minutes for the element to cool,
then refill and use as normal.
13. Appliances are not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote-control system.
14. Place the power base on a dry, flat surface. Place the coffee maker on the power
base. The electrical connection will be made automatically as the coffee maker slides
onto the power base.
15. Plug the cord set into an earthed power socket and switch on by depressing the
switch of the coffee maker to the “ON” position.
16. After allowing the coffee maker to cool down for 15 – 20 seconds, the water can be
brought back to the boil by pushing the switch back to the “ON” position. During the
cooling down time do not force the on/off switch into the “ON” position as this can
damage the operating mechanism.
17. Do not remove the coffee maker from the power base without switching off first.
18. Remember, if you do not wish to re-boil the coffee, switch it off.
19. The coffee maker may be switched off manually at any time by setting the on/off
switch into the “OFF” position.
HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR COFFEE MAKER
Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove
stubborn spots with a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. Do not use abrasive
scouring pads or powers. Never immerse the coffee maker in water or other liquids.
Unplug the coffee maker, if you are making coffee continiously, it should be enough to
rinse it with some cold water. If the interior of the coffee maker is too dirty, please clean
it with a sponge by adding some detergent and then rinse and wash with clean water.
From time to time, dependent on the nature of your water supply, a lime scale deposit is
naturally formed and can be found mostly adhered to the heating element, thus reducing
the heating capacity. The amount of lime scale deposited (subsequently the need to
clean or rescale) largely depends on the water hardness in your area the frequency with
which the coffee maker is used.
Lime scale is not harmful to your health. But if poured into your beverage, it can give a
powdery taste to your drink. Therefore, the coffee maker should be descaled periodically
as indicated below:
DESCALING
Descale coffee maker regularly. With normal use: at least twice a year.
1. Fill the coffee maker up to “MAX” with a mixture of one part ordinary vinegar and two
parts water. Switch on and wait for the appliance to switch off automatically.
2. Let the mixture remain inside the coffee maker overnight.
3. Discard the mixture the next morning.
4. Fill the coffee maker with clean water up to “MAX” mark and boil again.
5. Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
6. Rinse the inside of the coffee maker with clean water.
