1. Wireless Connection
(Notes: You can go back to look at the way of wifi connection in the Ethernet
cable connection to check the network configuration if your Wifi connection is
failed.)
Step 1: Scan QR code at the bottom of the device, inputting your devices password. The default
password is admin, if you failed to scan QR code, you can input it manually as well.
Step 2: Select Wireless connection”. (5G Hz WiFi is not available for this Camera).
Step 3: Press the Reset button after indicator light is not blinking.
Step 4: Input your WiFi account and password after hearing the prompts.
Step 5: Put your phone speaker close to the device’s Mic, make sure your mobile phone’s volume
is available in the process of connection.
Step 6: Upon a successful connection, change your default password to keep your account safe.
Step 7: You can customize the device name.
Step 8: With all that mentioned above, you can use your device now.
2. Ethernet Cable
Step 1: Use your network cable to connect your device to router.(The device’s green light keeps on
and yellow light is blinking, which indicates that connection is successful.)
Step 2: Scan QR code at the bottom of the device, inputting your device’s password.
Step 3: Select Ethernet”.(5G Hz WiFi is not available for this Camera)
Step 4: Upon a successful connection, change your device’s default password to keep your
account safe.
Step 5: Input your WiFi account and password.
Step 6: You can customize the device name.
Step 7: With all that mentioned above, you can use your device now.
3. Testing the Strength of WIFI Signal
Your ANNKE IP camera will keep connecting to the cloud server so that you can watch live view,
receive the real-time email alert and phone push at any time and in any place. So, you will need a
strong wireless signal where you install your device. In order to test the strength of your WiFi
signal, you can download an app about testing the strength of WiFi signal from Google Play or
App Store. You can use the app to test the strength of WiFi signal where ANNKE IP camera
installed.
4. Increasing the Strength of WIFI Signal
If your router keeps far away from the ANNKE IP camera, which causes the signal not strong
enough. There are barriers between router and ANNKE IP camera, which causes the signal
disturbance. The barriers including metal, marble, gypsum, concrete, etc. There are some ways
that can help you to solve this problem.
1) Installing a Wireless Repeater.
2) Installing your router closer to the ANNKE IP camera.
3) Upgrading your wireless router. In order to increase the strength of WiFi signal and prepare for
smart Internet market the future, we suggest that you can upgrade your router.
