The*P7912*Sol=Mate®*Solar*Mole*and*Gopher*Chaser*repels*unwanted*burrowing*rodents*with*the*strongest*and*least*
expensive*power*available*–*the *Sun.*The*solar=powered*P7912*uses*state=of=the=art*technology*to*repel*moles,*gophers,*
voles,*shrews*and*other*destructive*burrowing*rodents.*This*ingenious*device*is*environmentally*friendly*and*eliminates*
the*use*of*poiso ns*an d *traps*a rou nd *you r*childre n*a nd *pets.*Th e*so lar*pa ne l*is*enclosed*with*a*watertight*sealant*in*the*

How*to*Install:*
*
• Grasp*the*unit*firmly*to*unscrew*the*top*in*a*counter=clockwise*motion.*
• Move*the*switch*into*the*ON*position.*Replace*the*top*and*turn*it*clockwise*until*firmly*tightened.*Do*not*over*
tighten.*
• Insert*th e *u n it*in to*the*gro u n d *a t*le as t*8 ” *d e ep . *Y o u *ca n *fu lly *in se rt *th e *u n it*s o *that*the*b as e *o f*th e *h o u s in g *is*
against*the*ground.*Do*not*hammer*the*unit.*You*may*need*to*dig*a*hole*first*in*hard=packed*earth.**
• Do*not*install*the*unit*where*it*can*be*a*tripping*hazard.*Consider*marking*the*units*with*a*post*or*flag*if*they*are*
installed*in *a *p e d es tria n *a rea .**
• Install*the*unit*in*the*ce nte r*of*pe st*activity.*It*ope rate s*in*a*circula r*patte rn,*in*an *area *of*ap pro x.*750 0*sq .*ft.*
(1/6*Acre)*and *96*ft.*in*dia m ete r*(de pe nd ing *on *the*co nd ition *of*th e*so il).*This*m u st*be *an *uno b struc ted *96*ft,*
minor*obstructions*like*lampposts*are*OK.*The*signal*will*be*blocked*by*large*obstructions*such*as*foundations.**
• Install*the *u n it *w h e re *it *w ill*re c eiv e *m a x imum*su n lig h t.*Do*not*in s ta ll*th e *u n it*where*it*will*be*sha d ed*by*
buildings,*trees,*or*plantings.*If*the*unit*is*shaded*it*will*not*perform*properly.**
• The*battery*will*store*energy*generated*by*the*solar*panel*when*it*is*exposed*to*the*sun.*The*battery*will*power*
the*unit*during*the *nigh t*and *du ring*clo ud y*da ys.**
• Remove*the*unit*from*the*soil*if*the*ground*freezes*or*when*flooding*occurs.**

Replacing*the*Battery:*
*
The*LFP*14430*3.2V*250mAh*rechargeable*battery*will*provide*hundreds*of*charging*cycles*and*years*of*service.*In*the*
unlikely*event*the*battery*needs*replacing,*please*see *th e *fo llowing:*
*
• Grasp*the*unit*firmly*to*un sc re w*the*to p *in *a*counter=clockwise*mo tion.*
• Once*the*top*is*off,*make*sure*the*switch*is*in*the*off*position*and*use*a*small*Philips*head*screwdriver*to*
unscrew*the*solar*panel*from*the*unit.**
• Tip*the*unit*down*and,*with*a*small*shake,*GENTLY*remove*the*solar*pa n e l*a n d *insert*the*b a t te ry *in *th e *b a t te ry *
holder.**
• Line*up*the*screw*holes*with*their*respective*holder*and*replace*the*solar*pane l*using*the*screwdriver*to*tighten*
the*screws.*
• Move*the*switch*into*the*ON*position.*Replace*the*to p*a n d*turn*it*clockwise*until*f irmly*tighte n e d .*Do*not*o v e r*
tighten.*
