Note:Theadvancedspeedcalibrationtablewilloverrideanyother
programmedspeedcorrections.Itwillnotbeaddedontopoftheexisting
speedcalibration.Beforeswitchingtotheadvancedcalibrationtable,
makesuretocarefullyquantifytheperformanceofthesensorwithout
anycorrectionsinplace.
TheAdvancedSpeedCalibrationTableallowsfineadjustmentofspeed
correctionovermultiplespeedsandangles.
Uptotwoanglespersidecanbeselected.
Upto10non‐zerospeedscanbeaddedtothetable.
Note:Whenusingtheadvancedcalibrationtable,makesurethehighest
speedinthetableisthefastestspeedthevesselwilltypicallyachieve.If
thespeedexceedsthelargestvalueinthetable,thesensorwillapplya
linearcorrectionofthesameslope.Thiscanloseaccuracyquicklyifthe
lastspeedisverylow.It’simportantthetableincludetheentirerangeof
achievablespeedsregardlessofthenumberofindividualpoints.
Tousetheadvancedspeedcalibrationtable,first
switchspeedcalibrationto“Off.”

partysoftware,collect
thedifferencebetweenindicatedspeedandactual
speedthroughwaterateachcalibrationpoint.
Thetableisorganizedwithspeedsshownas
columnsandheelanglesshownasrows.Eachcellis
thespeedcorrection(inunitsofspeed,suchas
knots,mph,etc.)appliedtothatspecificheelangle
andspeedcombination.
EnabletheAdvancedSpeedCalibrationTableonthe
SpeedCalibrationTab.Expandthetabletothedesirednumberofrows
andcolumns.Inputthedifferencesmeasuredpreviously.Forexample,if
at0degreesofheeland8knindicatedspeedtheactualspeedthrough
waterwasmeasuredat8.5kn,enter0.5inthatcell.Iftheactualspeed
throughwaterwasmeasuredat7.5kn,enter‐0.5inthatcell.
Makesuretofilloutthetablecompletely.Removeanyunusedrowsand
columnsbyselectingtheheadingandtappingtheX.Theadvancedtable
doesnotadjustthebasicspeedcalibrations;itisastandalonemethodof
speedcalibrationthatoverridestheothers.InaccurateindicatedSTWwill
resultifthetableisnotcompletelyfilledin.
