GOLD NOTE® manufactures a wide range of
prestigious and sophisticated audio products
featuring unique and innovative technical and
aesthetic characteristics.
The Valore is a real high end audio compact
size turntable offered as package with a
shorter version of the Gold Note B-5 ball
bearing pick-up arm called B-5sc, equipped
with the Babele MM cartridge.
The Valore is made of 30mm thick MDF plinth
available in two lacquers colors, Black or White
and optionally even covered with real Italian leather on demand.
The Valore Platter made of 20mm thick acrylic derives directly from the Gold Note top turntable from which it
even features same design concept bearing and spindle of the platter to guarantee superior audio performance in
its class range.
An AC synchronous motor having a high torque allows a quite motor rotation power the turntable.
The Valore is a genuine Plug&Play unit and due to its compact size can be used in a large variety of applications.

Construction features
This section describes the special features of the VALORE COMPACT turntable, the construction features, the reasons for the technical
choices and the originality of the design.
- The VALORE COMPACT is rigid turntable that uses a plinth made of high damped MDF painted with exclusive colours.
- The plinth bears three adjustable feet made of aluminium & Teflon® for ensuring greater insensitivity to vibrations.
- The turntable platter is made of “extruded” acrylic chosen for its dampening ability and stability.
- The spindle is a high class machined stainless steel split in two piece for which the name Split-Spindle™. Able to clamp the platter
thru its conical shape, it is 80 mm long to ensure a top class performance. A large longitudinal groove is located on its axis, which
allows the lubricating oil to run in constant manner. The longer spindle eradicates any pendulum effect and distributes the inertial
energy along its entire axis, completely annulling any type of lateral friction.
- When the turntable is new the spindle will tend to clean any residual dirt in the bearing (which no preventive cleaning is capable of
completely removing). In this way even the tiniest residual friction built up after only a few dozen hours operation will be completely
eliminated.
- The bearing houses two Teflon/Graphite rectified bearings that handle the spindle with the help of a customised thrust washer made
of a high technical polymer called Delrin® located on the bottom that allows:
- Perfect coupling.
- Adjustment of the VTA carried out directly on the turntable board.
- The possibility of eliminating virtually every type of friction that could build up during the years with conventional
bearing/spindles.
- Moreover, the bearing is threaded on the outside (the only one of its kind) in order to be tightly anchored to the board of the turntable
on its own axis. This allows avoiding the use of glue and anchoring screws that would lock the bearing out of alignment and prevent a
fully rigid and precise coupling.
- The bearing is locked onto a brass ring support specially designed to obtain a flat board decoupling from the turntable plinth also.
- The motor, which is AC (synchronous) 24 pole with an extremely high coupling coefficient and very low noise, using the innovative
HDM system properly design by Goldenote using the General Electric VEOLENE K-630 foam. It is moved by a custom made capacitor.
The motor that has a 3 mm stainless steel spindle is directly coupled onto the acrylic board thru a special brass system of rings able to
reduce vibrations at its best.
- The pulley allows 33 & 45 rpm manual set up speed.

1) Please remove carefully all the protecting foam and check the items listed are all supplied.
2) Place the VALORE Compact deck on a levelled surface you have chosen for it. We recommend a wall shelf, as they are the most
sturdy, and immune to footfall, but a well-made equipment rack should give satisfactory results also. Once the table deck is
placed on your chosen set-up location you are now ready to continue.
3) The DIN/RCA cable of the arm is installed on the shaft female connector ready to be hooked to the amplifier.
4) Install the counterweight into the rear arm wand of the B-5sc till it touches the rubber ring that is set for the right weight of the
cartridge pre mounted.
5) Be sure to level the platter both front to back, and side-to-side!
6) Install the belt on the preferred speed groove.

Your VALORE COMPACT turntable has been designed for sheltered Hi-Fi systems. It must be protected from any eventual variations in
temperature and humidity. Avoid using in the vicinity of radiators or other strong heat sources, electrical and electronic motors, mobile
phones etc.
The location in proximity of other audio components is not theoretically critical, but you should nevertheless pay attention to this.
The levelling and positioning on a solid, firm board, as explained in the previous chapter, are fundamental elements to ensure the maximum
sonic performances.

By positioning the belt in the smaller groove of the synchronous pulley motor, the VALORE COMPACT turntable be set at 33 1/3 rpm,
while in the larger groove it will be set at 45 rpm. This positioning must be carried out manually.
The pulley may be covered by a Jewellery Gold Plated cover available as optional.

The On/Off switch is located on Acrylic board. Once the switch has been turned to ON (1) the turntable will start working at the speed

LEVELLING THE TURNTABLE •
The Turntable is not levelled
• With a spirit level, only level the Turntable Platter
through its shelf layer eventually screwing its feet just for very
fine adjustment, take care of levelling the platter on its vertical
and horizontal lines

• Be sure that the turntable layer is enough solid and
rigid to support the weight of the turntable easily
VTA ADJUSTMENT •
VTA tone arm is not adjustable
• The 3 arm board collar hex bolts are screwed into the
collar too much and do not let the arm shaft gets in it; unscrew
the hex bolts before inserting the arm
CLEANING THE TURNTABLE •
The Turntable is dirty and needs
to be cleaned
• With EXTREME care use ONLY very soft 100%
cotton cloth to sweep dust and stains out.
Any acid or not extremely soft cloth will irreversibly damage the
turntable fine aesthetic.
Do not use any alcohol to clean the turntable anodised label,
pulley and motor spindle. Only dry cloth is allowed
