IBM ServicePac® is no longer subject to the Stock Rotation process and is therefore not returnable.
IBM ServicePac® is not returnable, and in case of wrong ordered P/N, exception-swap to correct P/N will only be considered within a 60 day
period from the date of purchase, subject to an admin charge of 8% of original invoice amount. This service announced 1st of March 2008.
A ServicePac are only valid in that country where the ServicePac has been purchased
Attention: For taxation reasons, all ServicePac orders must be processed and invoiced in the service provision country.
ServicePac for Warranty Service Upgrade should best be ordered at the same time as the hardware. In order to avoid loss in coverage-value,
it's recommended that purchase is done as close as possible to the Warranty start date, that due to the fact that Warranty Service Upgrade
begins and runs in parallel to normal Base Warranty. Service and typical response time are provided within 100 Km of an IBM Service Location
unless specified differently due to local limitations.
IBM Onsite Repair ( IOR ) limitations
The customer must provide fault information to IBM at the time of the customer call placement and provide diagnostic information to the
On-Site Technician. In extreme situations IBM may require to remove the Machine to complete the repair. IBM reserves the right not to deliver
service in Business premises (including Home / Office) if not found to be appropriate to safety or Electro-Static Discharge protection.
The Customer must provide a suitable working area to allow disassembly and reassembly of the Machine. The area must be clean, well lit
and suitable for the purpose.

General Information Section
ServicePac® Policy
Business Partners will know that IBM ServicePac® is now entirely electronically handled. As ServicePac® is available "On Demand"
there is therefore no requirement for Business Partners to maintain a ServicePac® stock
Inventory Adjustment (Stock Rotation) is not available for ServicePac® and IBM does not accept ServicePac® returns from Business Partners
It is important, when ordering a ServicePac®, that the correct ServicePac® Part Number is specified. An incorrectly ordered ServicePac®
may not subsequently be returned to IBM.
Where an incorrect ServicePac® Part Number is ordered by mistake, you may, with effect from March 1st 2008, -
correct the order within 60 days of date of purchase subject to an administration charge.
This charge will be 8% of the original amount invoiced by IBM for the incorrectly ordered Part Number.

Service Delivery Method (SDM)
Customer Carry In Repair (CCR) - Repair activity performed at IBM Service Centre
If the product cannot be fixed with the help of remote support, the customer is responsible to disconnect and bring the failing machine to an IBM designated
location (depot), from where the machine will the machine will be sent on to the IBM Service Centre. When the product is repaired by IBM, the customer is then
responsible to take the machine back and reactivate it. Customer 'carry in' products are accepted during local depot opening hours (Monday to Friday) only.
IBM Courier Repair (ICR) ) - Repair activity performed at IBM Service Centre
If the product cannot be fixed with the help of remote support, an IBM designated courier will collect and bring back the repaired machine to the customer site.
The customer is responsible to disconnect and reactivate the machine.
Customer On-site Exchange (COE)- Product exchanged by Customer
If the product cannot be fixed with the help of remote support, a machine in good working order is sent to customer site for replacement by customer.
The customer is responsible to disconnect, reactivate and return the replaced machine to IBM in accordance with IBM's instructions. If customer does
not return the defective machine, if IBM so instructs, within 30 days of receipt of the replacement product, IBM may charge the customer for the replacement.
IBM Courier Exchange (ICE) – Product exchanged at Customer site
If the product cannot be fixed with the help of remote support, the failing machine is exchanged for a machine in good working order by an IBM designated courier.
The customer is responsible to disconnect and reactivate the machine.
IBM On-site Exchange (IOE) - Repair activity performed at Customer site
If the product cannot be fixed with the help of remote support, the machine is exchanged for a machine in good working order by an IBM representative at
customer site.
IBM On-site Repair (IOR) - Repair activity performed at Customer site
IBM will perform problem determination remotely. The customer is requested to work with IBM during problem determination and to perform those activites
that IBM may request. The problem determination aim is to identify whether the problem resides with the customer's IBM machine or with other machines
or software. If the problem determination result is that the customer’s IBM machine is failing, and non-functional, then a service technician will be
dispatched to the customer’s location, to perform remdial actions and replace any defective parts as required.
IBM On-site Repair Limited (IOL) - Repair activity performed at Customer site, excluding CRUs
The service is the same as for IOR but the customer is responsible for replacement of Tier 1 CRUs.
Coverage Hours description
5x9 coverage :
5 days per week (Monday to Friday, excluding public & national holidays), 9 hours per day
5x9x4 coverage :
5 days per week (Monday to Friday, excluding public & national holidays), 9 hours per day, with an onsite response target
of 4 hours after problem determination has been completed.
5x11 coverage:
5 days per week (Monday to Friday, excluding public & national holidays), 11 hours per day.
6x18 coverage:
6 days per week (Monday to Saturday, excluding public & national holidays), 18 hours per day.
7x24 coverage :
7 days per week by 24 hours (365 days a year).
7x24x4 coverage :
7 days a week by 24 hours, with an on site response target of 4 hours after problem determination has been completed.
Committed Service Levels
3 Yr IOR 7x24 8hr CS
IBM Onsite Repair, 7 days a week by 24 hours, with a commitment to fix the reported problem within 8 hours.
The 8 hour Fix Time (FXT) is the period of time between the customer's service request registration in IBM's Call
Management System and restoration of the failing machine to operational readiness

IBM Onsite Repair, 7 days a week by 24 hours, with a commitment to fix the reported problem within 8 hours.
The 8 hour Fix Time (FXT) is the period of time between the customer's service request registration in IBM's Call Management System
and restoration of the failing machine to operational readiness.
For the commitment to be met it's essential that the registration of the ServicePac is carried out and fully completed. In case registration is
not completed, the Customer cannot expect to receive committed service and will loose the right to claim penalty for fix time not being met.
