TheRailKing®GasStationismadeupofthreecomponents:thegasstation

buildingandbase,thecar,andtheactivationbutton.Beforeyouplacethe

gasstationonthelayout,youmustwireittotheactivationbuttonand

transformer.Inordertoconnectpowertoeachcomponent,thesix(6)

enclosedwiresmustbeconnectedtothewiringpostslocatedonthe

undersideofthegasstationandtheactivationbutton.WiresfromportsA-C

controlthecaroperation.WiresfromportsD-Econtrolthelights.Follow

thediagramshowntomakethecorrectconnections.

thesignispackagedseparately,inasmallplasticbag.Tocompletesetup,pop

thecircularpartofthesignintotheholedesignedforitonthesignbase.

OperatingInstructions: Oncethegasstationiswiredtoreceivea14-20volt

minimumpowersupplyfromthetransformerandthetransformeristurnedon,

simplypresstheactivationbuttontostartthegasstationsequence.

Inordertogetthecarintothegasstationservicebay,youmustpressthe

activationbuttontobeginthecycle.Oncethesmalltabthatwillcarrythecar

alongitstrackhasexitedthegasstationandcometoastop,placethecaronto

thetab.Whenyouplaythereturnsequence,thecarwillbetakenintothe

garage.

Inthebeginningsequence,thegaragedoorwillopen,andyouwillhearthe

soundofthecar enginestarting.Thecarwillrollfromthegaragetothepumps,

whichwilltriggertheservicebelltoring.Oncethecarhascometoastopat

thegaspumps,thesoundofthepumpfillingthecarwillplayforapproximately

fiveseconds.Afterthepumpsoundsstop,thecarwillremainatthepumps

untiltheoperatorpushestheactivationbutton.

Whenyoupushtheactivationbuttonasecondtime,thecarenginewillstartup

andthecarwillbackintotheservicebay.Oncethecarhascometoastop,the

enginesoundswillshutdownandthebaydoorwillclose.

Youcanstopthemotionatanytimebyturningoff thepowerorbypressingthe

transformer'sdirectionbutton.Oncethepowerisrestored,thecarwillreturnto

itsstartingpositionwithinthebaywithoutsoundeffects.

ReplacingtheLightBulbs:

Thereareseveraleasy-to-changelightbulbslocated

inthegasstation.Followtheinstructionsbelowtochangethem.

:Popthecircularpartofthesignofftoaccessthebulb.Toreplacethe

bulb,simplypullitoutandpushanewonein,likeChristmastreelights

.

:Popthegaspumpoffthebasetoaccessthebulb.Toreplacethe

bulb,pullitoutandpushanewonein,likethesignlight.

Forthebuildingandgaragebulbs,youmustfirstaccesstheinteriorofthe

housingasfollows:

•Removethecarfromthegasstation.

•Turnthebuildingandbaseupsidedown,proppingitcarefully.

Removethefour(4)screwsfromthebasecoverthenliftthebase

coveroff(SeeFig.3).

•Removetheten(10)screwslocatedonthebottomofthebase.There

isnoneedtoremovethegear.Notethatthetwoscrewsthatholdthe

pumpsinplacearelongerthantheothersandbesuretoreplacethem

inthecorrectlocationwhenreassembling.

•Carefullyturnthegasstationbackoverandtiltthehousingawayfrom

thebase.Thewiringwillremainconnected.

•Replacethelightbulbsasdescribedbelow:

:Twistthebulbscounterclockwisethenpulltoremovethem.

Pushinandtwistclockwisetoreplacethebulb.

:Pullthebulboutandpushthenewoneintoreplaceit

.

Reassemblethegasstationinthereverseordergivenabove.
