9 Button for displaying the recording and
playback controller
Not available for the VA-SW3050Lite.
F Voice transmission button
Controls the transmission of voice from the
PC microphone to the camera side.
Note:
• The voice transmission button can be
operated only if a camera is selected.
• To transmit voice from the PC microphone
to the camera side, the “Talk” operating
privilege is required (see page 32-2).
• Accessing the camera simultaneously
from this software and a Web browser
disables the voice transmission button.
In such case, terminate the access from
the Web browser.
G Voice output button
Controls the output of voice from the camera
side to the PC.
Note:
• The voice output button can be operated
only if a camera is selected.
• You can input voice from up to 128
channels. However, you can output voice
from only one channel.
• When the “Voice output” is set to “OFF”,
all the sounds of the PC are muted. The
sounds of buzzer and warning beeps set
on the PC are also turned off.
H Volume adjustment
Adjusts the voice output volume for the PC
using a slide bar.
I Lock button
This button can be used to lock the buttons
and controls for avoiding operation mistakes.
The VA-SW3050Lite software allows you to
establish bi-directional voice communications
between a camera and PC.
<Camera → PC>
You can view live video image with voice
because the voice picked up by the microphone
on the camera side is output to the PC speakers.
<PC → Camera>
You may talk to the camera side because the
voice picked up by the microphone on the PC
side is output to the camera speakers.
Make sure the following preparations are
completed before operating the tool bar buttons
for establishing voice communication.
1 A microphone and speakers are respectively
connected on the voice transmission and
output sides (refer to page 2 of the installation
manual).
2 Select the [Audio] check box on the [Normal
Recording & Live Setting (JPEG)] screen to
enable the voice communication (see page
23-2).
3 The voice settings on the camera side are
configured on the [Audio Setting] screen
(see page 27).
Note:
• To configure the voice settings, both the
camera and the option board must support
the voice communication feature.
• Only one user can transmit voice to one
camera at a time.
Priority is given to the user who transmits
voice most lately when multiple users
transmit voice simultaneously.
• If the voice output from the camera speakers
is low, set “Microphone Boost” to the PC
microphone from the Control Panel of the PC.
