5. Put in the fragrance oil.
1.
Open the oil hatch on the bottom of the machine with
the key and pull out the fragrance oil cartridge by the
metal ring—do not twist, it pulls straight out.
2.
Unscrew the diffuser cap from the oil cartridge and
pour the fragrance oil from the white bottle into the
blue cartridge.
3.
Screw the black diffuser cap back on.
4.
Align the diffuser cap so that the two inlet/outlets are
facing away from the wall.
5.
Push straight up until you feel it seat into the
machine. This just pops in place—no turning at
this point.
6.
Close and lock the oil hatch with the key.
Pour in the oil.
Screw on the diffuser cap.
6. Adjust, maintain, and enjoy! A good starting
intensity is at 25%, during the high-traffic times of the
day, then increase/decrease intensity and run-times from
there depending on preference. If you find after a while
that you no longer notice the fragrance but it is running
okay, it is probably time to switch out your fragrance to
something else. We have a tendency to go nose-blind as we get used to fragrances in our own home.
If the diffuser starts to whistle or you suspect that it is not running optimally, it may be time to clean the
diffuser. To do this, pop out the cartridge, unscrew the diffuser cap, pour out the fragrance oil into the
white bottle that it came in, put some alcohol into the cartridge (you only need enough to get to the first
tick mark), replace the diffuser cap, pop the cartridge back in place, and run the machine for a while to let
the alcohol clear out any fragrance oil buildup in the diffuser cap. You can use 80-proof vodka if you do
not have rubbing/isopropyl alcohol. Pour out the alcohol and replace the canister with the fragrance oil
and it should be good as new.
