1. KNOW YOUR TOOL
Read and understand the owners manual and labels affixed to
the tool. Learn its application and limitations as well as its
specific potential hazards.
2. GROUND THE TOOL.
This tool is equipped with an approved 3-conductor cord and
a 3-prong grounding type plug to fit the proper grounding type
receptacle. The green conductor in the cord is the grounding
wire. NEVER connect the green wire to a live terminal.
3. KEEP GUARDS IN PLACE.
Keep in good working order, properly adjusted and aligned.
4. REMOVE ADJUSTING KEYS AND WRENCHES.
Form habit of checking to see that keys and adjusting
wrenches are removed from tool before turning it on.
5. KEEP WORK AREA CLEAN.
Cluttered areas and benches invite accidents. Make sure the
floor is clean and not slippery due to wax and sawdust
build-up.
6. AVOID DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENT.
Don’t use power tools in damp or wet locations or expose
them to rain. Keep work area well lit and provide adequate
surrounding work space.
7. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY.
All visitors should be kept a safe distance from work area.
8. MAKE WORKSHOP CHILD-PROOF.
-with padlocks, master switches or by removing starter keys.
9. USE PROPER SPEED.
A tool will do a better and safer job when operated at the
proper speed.
10. USE RIGHT TOOL.
Don’t force the tool or the attachment to do a job for which it
was not designed.
11. WEAR PROPER APPAREL.
Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties or jewelry (rings,
watch) because they could get caught in moving parts.
Non-slip footwear is recommended. Wear protective hair
covering to contain long hair. Roll up long sleeves above the
elbows.
12. ALWAYS WEAR SAFETY GLASSES.
Always wear safety glasses (ANSI Z87.1). Everyday
eye-glasses only have impact resistant lenses, thet are NOT
safety glasses. Also use a face or dust mask if cutting
operation is dusty.
13. DON’T OVERREACH.
Keep proper footing and balance at all times.
14. MAINTAIN TOOL WITH CARE.
Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest performance.
Follow instructions for lubricating and changing accessories.
15. DISCONNECT TOOLS.
Before servicing, when changing accessories or attachments.
16. AVOID ACCIDENTAL STARTING.
Make sure the swich is in the ‘’OFF’’ position before plugging
in.
17. USE RECOMMENDED ACCESSORIES.
Consult the manual for recommended accessories. Follow the
instructions that accompany the accessories. The use of
improper accessories may cause hazards.
18. NEVER STAND ON TOOL.
Serious injury could occur if the tool tips over. Do not store
materials such that it is necessary to stand on the tool to reach
them.
19. CHECK DAMAGED PARTS.
Before further use of the tool, a guard or other parts that are
damaged should be carefully checked to ensure that they will
operate properly and perform their intended function. Check for
alignment of moving parts, breakage of parts, mounting, and
any other conditions that may affect its operation. A guard or
other parts that are damaged should be properly repaired or
replaced.
20. NEVER LEAVE MACHINE RUNNING
UNATTENDED.
Turn power ‘’OFF’’. Don’t leave any tool running until it comes
to a complete stop.

SPECIFIC
SAFETY RULES
Safety is a combination of common sense, staying alert and
knowing how your bandsaw works. Read and understand the
following safety rules before operating.
• Adjust the upper guide to just clear workpiece.
Make sure that the blade is properly adjusted and tensioned
before operating.
Do not remove small jammed pieces until the blade has
completely stopped.
Hold workpiece firmly against the table. Do not saw a workpiece
which does not have a flat surface unless it can be supported.
Turn the machine off if the workpiece is to be backed out of an
uncompleted cut.
BEFORE EACH USE:
Inspect your bandsaw.
To reduce the risk of injury from accidental starting, turn the
switch off, unplug the bandsaw and remove the switch key
before changing the set-up, removing covers, guards or the
blade.
Check the alignment of moving parts, binding of moving parts,
breakage of parts, bandsaw stability and any other conditions
that may affect the way the bandsaw works.
If any part is missing, bent or broken in any way, or if any
electrical parts do not work properly, turn the bandsaw off and
unplug the saw. Replace damaged or missing parts before using
the bandsaw again.
TO REDUCE THE RISK OF INJURY FROM JAMS, SLIPS,
THROWN PIECES OR BROKEN BLADES.
Inspect your blade.
Choose the right blade size and style for the material and the type
of cutting you plan to do.
Make sure the blade teeth point downward, towards the table.
Make sure the blade guide bearings are properly adjusted.
Make sure the blade tension is properly adjusted.
To reduce the risk of accidental blade contact, minimize blade
breakage and provide maximum blade support, always adjust
the upper blade guide and blade guard to just clear the
workpiece.
Caution: Never cut metals with this bandsaw, only wood and
wood products. Use extra caution with large, very small or
awkward workpieces.
Use extra supports (tables, blocks, etc...) for any workpieces
large enough to tip when not held down to the table top.
• NEVER use another person as a substitute for a table extension,
or as additional support for a workpiece that is longer or wider
than the basic bandsaw table, or to help feed, support or pull the
workpiece.
• When cutting irregularly shaped workpieces, plan your work so it
will not slip and pinch the blade. A piece of molding for example,
must lie flat or be held by a fixture or jig that will not let it twist,
rock or slip while being cut.
Properly support round material such as dowel rods or tubing.
They have a tendency to roll during a cut, causing the blade to
“bite”. To avoid this, always use a “V” block or clamp the work to
the miter guage.
Cut only one workpiece at a time.
WHENEVER THE BANDSAW IS RUNNING.
Before starting your cut, watch the saw while it runs. If it makes
an unfamiliar noise or vibrates a lot, stop immediately. Turn the
saw off and unplug. Do not restart until you have found and
corrected the problem.
Keep children away.
Keep all visitors at a safe distance from the bandsaw.
Make sure bystanders are clear of the table and the workpiece.
Don’t force the tool.
Let the blade reach full speed before cutting.
It will do the job better and safer at its designed rate.
Feed the workpiece into the blade only fast enough to let the
blade cut without bogging down or binding.
GETTING TO KNOW
YOUR 10” WOOD BANDSAW
Specifications
1. Lower hinged door.
2. Rip fence. Use as a support guide for ripping
operations.
3. Main On/Off switch. The On/Off switch has a
locking feature. This feature is intended to prevent
unauthorized use.
4. LED light switch.
5. Upper hinged door.
6. Tension adjustment knob. This feature controls
the amount of blade tension. Proper blade tension
is important to make accurate cuts.
7. Blade tracking window.
8. Upper hinged door lock knob. Gain access to
blade.
9. Upper blade guide adjust wheel. The upper
blade guide assembly should be lowered to just
above the workpiece while cutting. Always adjust
and then lock it by tightening the upper blade
guide lock knob before turning on the bandsaw.
10. Flexible LED light.
11. Upper blade guide assembly. The blade guides
support the blade and prevent it from twisting
during operation. An adjustment is necessary
when the blade is changed or replaced.
12. Miter gauge. Used to push workpiece towards
blade or for miter cuts.
13. Cast-iron tilting table.
14. Retractable extension. Used to support larger
workpieces.
15. Rip fence rail with ruler.
16. Lower hinged door lock knob. Gain access to
blade.
17. Stand.
18. Blade tracking lock knob and blade tracking
adjust handle. This adjust handle should be
adjusted to maintain proper blade tracking and
locked using the blade tracking lock knob.
19. Blade tension quick release lever.
20. Dust chute. This feature helps eliminate sawdust from inside the machine. This dust chute accepts 2”, 2-1/2” and 4” dust collection hoses
for optimal sawdust removal.
21. Bevel scale and pointer. This angle scale indicates the table angle for bevel cuts.
22. Table lock handle. Loosening this handle allows the table to be tilted for bevel cutting.

POWER SUPPLY
WARNING: YOUR BANDSAW MUST BE CONNECTED TO A 110V-120V,
15-AMP CIRCUIT BREAKER. FAILURE TO CONNECT IN THIS WAY CAN
RESULT IN INJURY FROM SHOCK OR FIRE.
GROUNDING
This Bandsaw must be grounded. If it should malfunction or breakdown,
grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current, to reduce
the risk of electric shock. This Bandsaw is equipped with a cord having an
equipment-grounding conductor and grounding plug. The plug must be
plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
Your Bandsaw must be properly grounded. Not all outlets are properly
grounded. If you are not sure if your outlet is properly grounded, have it
checked by a qualified electrician.
WARNING: TO MAINTAIN PROPER GROUNDING OF YOUR BANDSAW,
DO NOT REMOVE OR ALTER THE GROUNDING PRONG IN ANY
MANNER.
WARNING: IF NOT PROPERLY GROUNDED, THIS BANDSAW CAN

LOCATIONS. TO AVOID SHOCK OR FIRE, IF THE POWER CORD IS

110V-120V OPERATION
As received from the factory, your Bandsaw is ready to run for 110V-120V
operation. This Bandsaw is intended for use on a circuit that has an outlet
and a plug which looks like the one illustrated in Fig.1.
WARNING: DO NOT USE A TWO-PRONG ADAPTOR FOR THEY ARE
NOT IN ACCORDANCE WITH LOCAL CODES AND ORDINANCES. NEVER
USE IN CANADA.
EXTENSION CORDS
The use of any extension cord will cause some loss of power. Use the
chart in Fig.2 to determine the minimum wire size (A.W.G-American Wire
Gauge) extension cord. Use only 3-wire extension cords which have
3-prong grounding type plugs and 3-hole receptacles which accept the tool’s
plug.
For circuits that are further away from the electrical circuit box, the wire size
must be increased proportionately in order to deliver ample voltage to the
Bandsaw motor. Refer to Fig.2 for wire length and size.
SAFETY SWITCH
This machine is supplied with a safety switch (A) Fig.3 equipped with a
removable safety key (B). To turn the machine ON make sure the yellow
safety key is inserted and pull the switch up, to the ON position. To turn the
machine OFF push the switch to the OFF position. To prevent unauthorized
use of your machine remove the safety key and store it in a secure location.

WARNING: To avoid injury, if any parts are missing, do not attempt to assemble
the bandsaw, plug in the power cord, or turn the switch on, until the missing parts
are obtained and installed correctly.
WARNING: For your own safety, never connect plug to power source outlet, or
insert switch key until all assembly steps are complete and until you have read
and understood the entire instruction manual.
ASSEMBLING STAND
Refer to Fig.4 to assemble stand.
1) Use carriage bolts and hex.nuts to assemble stand. Only hand-tighten hex.nuts
at this time.
2) Make sure the two short support plates (A) Fig.4 with extra holes are opposite
one another as shown.
3) Slip rubber feet (B) onto ends of stand legs.
4) Place stand upright on level floor, and push down until it sits evenly.
5) Tighten all hex. nuts.
MOUNTING BANDSAW ON STAND
Refer to Fig.4 to mount bandsaw on stand.
1) Align holes on bandsaw base with holes in stand. Mount bandsaw to stand
using three cap screws, washers and hex.nuts, as shown in Fig.4. Tighten hex.
nuts.
INSTALLING THE TABLE
1) Position the table (A) Fig.5 to allow the blade to slide into the table slot. Slide
the blade through the slot in the table and then place the table onto the
bandsaw trunnion (B).
2) Align the four mounting holes of the table with the ones in the trunnion.
3) Fasten the table to the trunnion using four flange hex. bolts (C) Fig.5.

INSTALLING RIP FENCE RAIL AND RIP FENCE
1) Install guide rail (A) Fig.6 to the front of table. Secure the guide rail using the
four lock knobs (B) under the table.
2) Slide rip fence assembly (A) Fig.7 onto the table. The rear hook should engage
the rear of the table. The fence body should engage the guide rail (B).
3) Lock the fence by lowering the lock handle (C) Fig.7.
If the rip fence is not parallel to the miter slot:
1) Slide fence next to miter slot and lock rip fence. Loosen two cap screws (D)
Fig.7 with a 4mm hex key. The end cap (E) may need to be removed.
2) Adjust fence body so it is parallel to the miter slot.
3) Retighten two cap screws (D) and replace end cap (E).
INSTALLING MITER GAUGE
1) Place the t-slot bar of the miter gauge (A) Fig.8 into the miter gauge slot (B) in
the table on the right side of the blade.
2) To adjust angle of miter gauge, loosen lock handle (C) and rotate gauge body.
Tighten lock handle.
3) Use a square to verify that the 90
0
setting on the scale is 90
0
to the slot. Adjust
pointer (D) if necessary.
INSTALLING BLADE TENSION LEVER
1) Install the blade quick release tension lever (A) Fig.9 to the rear hub (B) as
shown. Tighten lever using a wrench on the flat of the shaft.

WARNING! Turn off the saw, remove the main On/Off switch safety key and
unplug the power cord before making any adjustments on the saw.
ADJUSTING TABLE 90

TO THE BLADE
1) The table stop (A) Fig.10 is set at the factory to stop the table at 90º
(perpendicular) with the blade.
2) Disconnect machine from power source.
3) Loosen table lock knob (B) Fig.10, then tilt the table down, bringing it to rest
against table stop (C).
4) Use a square (A) Fig.11 placed on the table and against the blade (B) as
shown, verify that the table is 90º to the blade.
5) If an adjustment is necessary, tilt table up to access table stop (C) Fig.10.
6) Loosen hex. nut (D) Fig.10 and turn table stop (C) in or out to raise or lower the
stop. Tighten the hex. nut (D) to secure adjustment.
7) Tilt table back down against the stop bolt and verify that the table is 90º to the
blade. Tighten table lock knob (B) Fig.10.
8) If an adjustment was made, the pointer (E) Fig.10 should be adjusted. Loosen
pointer screw, line up the pointer with the 0
0
mark on the scale and retighten
pointer screw.
CHANGING /INSTALLING THE BLADE
CAUTION: Wear safety glasses to avoid being scraped if the blade should
suddenly uncoil. Wearing gloves, carefully uncoil new blade by holding it at arms
length.
1) Loosen the upper blade guide assembly lock knob (A) Fig.12 and position the
upper blade guide assembly (B) about half way between the table and the
frame. Retighten the lock knob.
2) Open the front covers by turning the cover lock knobs counterclockwise.
BLADE: Range: Length: 67-1/2” x Width (min/max): 1/8”-1/2”

3) Loosen lock knobs and pull table extension away from table.
4) Remove rip fence guide rail.
5) Release tension on blade by moving quick release tension lever (A) Fig.13 to
the right.
6) Remove blade (C) Fig.12 around upper and lower wheels (D) and from between
the upper and lower blade guides (B & E).
7) Remove blade through slot in table.
8) Guide the new blade through table slot and place it around the upper and lower
wheels and into the upper and lower blade guides. The blade teeth must face
the operator, and they should point down toward the table.
9) Position the blade in the middle of the rubber tires on the wheels.
10) Place tension on the blade by moving the quick release tension lever (A) Fig.13
to the left.
11) Reinstall the rip fence guide rail.
Note: Before operating the bandsaw, check that the blade is properly tensioned
and tracking properly. Follow the next two sections before operating the bandsaw.

WARNING! Turn off the saw, remove the main On/Off switch safety key and
unplug the power cord before making any adjustments on the saw.
ADJUSTING BLADE TENSION
The blade tension knob (B) Fig.13 is used to adjust blade tension. The quick
release tension lever (A) Fig.13 must be engaged (moved to the left) before
making blade tension adjustments with the blade tension knob (B).
1) Disconnect machine from power source.
2) Turn blade tension knob just enough to apply tension and take slack out of
blade.
3) Turn one wheel a few times to allow blade to position itself in center of tire.
4) If the blade does not center itself, see the next section Adjusting Blade Track-
ing.
5) A gauge (A) Fig.14 directly behind and above upper wheel indicates
approximate tension according to the width of the blade. Set blade tension with
knob (B) Fig.14 to correspond to blade width as marked on gauge (A).
ADJUSTING BLADE TRACKING
NOTE: The blade tension must be properly adjusted before tracking the
blade.
Blade tracking refers to the position the blade turns on the wheels while in motion.
The blade should track in the centre of both wheels.
1) Open upper and lower doors. Rotate upper wheel forward by hand, and observe
position of the blade on the upper wheel through the window (A) Fig.15. Blade
should be in the center of the wheel.
2) If adjustment is necessary: Loosen handle (B) Fig.15 and make adjustment with
tracking knob (C) while rotating wheel by hand.
3) Tightening the tracking knob slightly will move the blade so it tracks towards the
rear of the machine. Loosening the tracking knob slightly will cause the blade to
track towards the front of the machine.
4) After blade is tracking in the center of the wheel, tighten handle (B) Fig.15.
ADJUSTING UPPER BLADE GUIDE ASSEMBLY
1) The upper blade guide assembly (A) Fig.16 should be adjusted to just above the
material being cut.
2) To adjust: Loosen lock knob (B) and raise or lower upper blade guide assembly
(A) by turning height adjustment knob (C).

unplug the power cord before making any adjustments on the saw.
ADJUSTING BLADE GUIDE ASSEMBLIES
Adjustments are performed in the same manner for each blade guide assembly.
Each assembly must be adjusted in turn using the following adjustment
procedures.
Thrust bearing adjustment
1) Disconnect machine from power source.
2) For the upper thrust bearing (A) Fig.17, loosen lock knob (B) Fig.17. For the
lower thrust bearing (A) Fig.18, loosen set screw (B) Fig.18 with a 3mm hex.
key.
3) Slide the adjustment shaft (C) Fig.’s 17 & 18 so the blade is positioned in the
middle of the thrust bearing (A). The thrust bearing (A) is mounted on a
concentric shaft (C). When the shaft is rotated, the relative position of the
bearing to the back of the blade can be changed.
4) Rotate the adjustment shaft (C) so the thrust bearing (A) just clears the back of
the saw blade.
5) Tighten lock knob/set screw (B).
Note: If a blade is being replaced with a new one of a different size, further
adjustment may be required as follows:
6) Loosen the screw (D) Fig.’s 17 & 18 with a 10mm open end wrench and adjust
the entire assembly back or forth to just clear the back of the saw blade. Tighten
screw (D), then fine tune the adjustment by repeating the first part of this
section.
7) Secure the thrust bearing (A) by tightening the lock knob (B, upper guide) or set
screw (B, lower guide).
Guide bearing adjustment
1) Disconnect machine from power source.
2) For upper blade guide assembly, loosen the two lock knobs (E) Fig.17. For lower
blade guide assembly, loosen the two set screws (E) Fig.18 with a 3mm hex.

3) Slide adjustment shafts (F) Fig.’s 17 & 18 to position each guide bearing (G) approximately 1/16” behind the gullets of the saw blade. Each
guide bearing (G) is mounted on a concentric shaft. When the shaft (F) is rotated, the relative position of the guide to the blade can be changed.
4) Rotate each adjustment shaft (F) to position the guide bearings (G) within 1/32” of the saw blade.
5) Secure the guide bearings (G) by tightening lock knobs (E, upper guide) or set screws (E, lower guide).
USING THE FLEXIBLE LED LIGHT
The LED light switch (A) Fig.19 located above the main on/off switch turns the LED light (B) on and off.

OPERATION & MAINTENANCE
DUST COLLECTION
This bandsaw comes with a versatile dust chute (A) Fig.20 which accepts
2”, 2-1/2” and 4” dust collection hoses.
Note: Wood dust and chips in a confined area can give rise to fire or an
explosion. Keep ignition sources away from bandsaw. Keep saw dust to a
minimum by cleaning the inside of the bandsaw after every use.
MAINTENANCE
WARNING! For your own safety, turn the switch “OFF”, remove the safety key,
unplug the power cord from the power outlet before maintaining or lubricating your
bandsaw.
Tires
Pitch and sawdust that accumulate on the tires should be removed with a stiff brush or scrapped off with a piece of wood. Do not use a sharp
knife or any type of solvent. When the tires become worn, they should be replaced. When replacing tires, place a thin layer of rubber cement on
the outside of the wheels and inside the tires. After the rubber cement dries, slide the tires onto the wheels, aligning the tires inside the wheel
edges.

1) Keep your bandsaw clean.
2) Frequently remove sawdust from the inside of the saw.
3) Do not allow pitch to accumulate on the table, blade guides or thrust bearings.
Clean them with quality gum and pitch remover.
4) Apply a thin coat of automobile type wax to the table top to allow the wood to
slide easily while cutting. Also apply wax to the inside surfaces of the trunnion.
Motor/Electrical
Frequently vacuum or blow out any sawdust from the motor and around the
switches.
Lubrication
All the ball bearings are permanently lubricated. They require no further lubrication.
WARNING! If the power cord is worn, cut or damaged in any way, replace it
immediately.
WARNING! To prevent electrocution, fire or injury, use only identical replacement
parts listed in this manual. To avoid electrical hazards, always reassemble exactly
as the original assembly.
Replacing drive belt/tensioning drive belt
1) Disconnect machine from power source.
2) Open upper and lower doors and remove saw blade as described in this manual.
3) Remove tension on drive belt (A) Fig.21 by loosening the cap screw (A) Fig.22
on the back of the cabinet which secures the motor.
4) Using snap ring pliers, remove snap ring (B) Fig.21 that secures lower wheel (C)
to the drive shaft.
5) Slide lower wheel assembly off the drive shaft, this will dislodge the belt (A). Dis-
card the old belt.
6) Place new belt onto lower wheel pulley. Reinstall lower wheel (C). Reinstall snap ring (B).
7) Place new belt partially around motor pulley (D) to get it started, then turn lower wheel (C) by hand until belt is completely seated on motor
pulley (D).
8) Push the motor down to tension the belt. The belt is properly tensioned when moderate finger pressure on the belt between the two pulleys
causes a 1/2” deflection.
9) Tighten cap screw (A) Fig.22 on the back of the cabinet which secures the motor.
10) Re-install blade. Close upper and lower doors.
