EYE/EAR INJURY HAZARD!
Wear safety glasses and
hearing protection when
using this tool.
DO NOT EXCEED 115 PSI!
Personal injury could
occur.
REMOVE ADJUSTING TOOLS. Never leave
adjustment tools, chuck keys, wrenches, etc. in
or on toolespecially near moving parts. Verify
removal before starting!
INTENDED USAGE. Only use tool for its intended
purpose. Never modify or alter tool for a purpose
not intended by the manufacturer or serious injury
or death may result!
AWKWARD POSITIONS. Keep proper footing
and balance at all times when operating tool. Do
not overreach! Avoid awkward hand positions that
make tool control difficult or increase the risk of
accidental injury.
SAFE HANDLING. To avoid accidental startup,
do not carry tool with hand on trigger, and always
disconnect from air when not in use.
SECURING WORKPIECE. When required, use
clamps or vises to secure workpiece. A secured
workpiece protects hands and frees both of them
to operate the tool.
CHILDREN & BYSTANDERS. Keep children and
bystanders at a safe distance from the work area.
Stop using tool if they become a distraction.
FORCING TOOLS. Use the right tool for the job,
and do not force it. It will do the job safer and bet-
ter at the rate for which it was designed.
MAINTAIN WITH CARE. Follow all maintenance
instructions and lubrication schedules to keep tool
in good working condition. A tool that is improperly
maintained could malfunction, leading to serious
personal injury or death. Only have tool serviced
by qualified service-personnel using matching
replacement parts.
CHECK DAMAGED PARTS. Regularly inspect
tool for any condition that may affect safe opera-
tion. Immediately repair or replace damaged or
mis-adjusted parts before with approved parts
operating tool.
Safety Instructions for Impact Wrenches
TRAINED OPERATORS ONLY. Untrained opera-
tors have a higher risk of being hurt or killed. If you
are unsure of the intended operation, stop using
the tool! Seek formal training or research books
or magazines that specialize in pneumatic tools.
When impact wrench is not being used, discon-
nect from air, and store in out-of-reach location
to prevent unauthorized useespecially around
children. Make workshop kid proof!
DANGEROUS ENVIRONMENTS. Do not use
pneumatic tools in areas that are wet, cluttered, or
have poor lighting. Operating tools in these areas
greatly increases risk of accidents and injury.
MENTAL ALERTNESS REQUIRED. Full mental
alertness is required for safe operation of this tool.
Never operate under the influence of drugs or
alcohol, when tired, or when distracted.
EYE PROTECTION. Always wear ANSI-approved
safety glasses and a face shield when operating
or observing impact wrenches to reduce the risk
of eye injury or blindness from flying particles.
Everyday eyeglasses are not approved safety
glasses.
WEARING PROPER APPAREL. Do not wear
clothing, apparel or jewelry that can become
entangled in moving parts. Always tie back or
cover long hair. Wear non-slip footwear with
added toe protection to avoid accidental slips and
reduce crushing injuries.
HAZARDOUS DUST. Dust created while using
impact wrenches may cause cancer, birth defects,
or long-term respiratory damage. Be aware of
dust hazards associated with each workpiece
material, and always wear a NIOSH-approved
respirator to reduce your risk.
HEARING PROTECTION. Always wear hearing
protection when operating or observing loud tools.
Extended exposure to this noise without hearing
protection can cause permanent hearing loss.
UNATTENDED OPERATION. Never leave tool
running while unattended. Turn off tool and dis-
connect air hose to ensure all moving parts com-
pletely stop. Do not leave until tool is relieved of
any built-up pressure.
ACCESSORIES. Improperly secured accesso-
ries or those that are not designed for the forces
generated by this tool may detach or break apart,
sending flying debris at the operator or bystand-
ers, which could cause serious personal injury.
Before using any accessories, make sure they
are rated for use with this impact wrench and are
properly secured.
USE BOTH HANDS. Besides the heavy weight
of this tool, rotational forces during operation can
result in loss of control when using only one hand.
Always make sure that you grip the impact wrench
firmly with BOTH hands during operation.
AIR SUPPLY. Use only clean, dry, regulated,
compressed air with this tool. To prevent explo-
sions or poisoning, never use oxygen, carbon
dioxide, combustible gases, or any other gas as a
power source for this tool.
AIR SUPPLY CONNECTION. Do not connect this
tool to an air hose with a connector that allows
the tool to retain air pressure when disconnected.
Even when disconnected from the air supply, the
impact wrench could unexpectedly start up if it
retains air pressure, which could cause injuries
and property damage.
AIR HOSE. Make sure air hose is in good con-
dition and is long enough to reach work without
stretching.
FLAMMABLE MATERIALS. When using impact
wrench, sparks could fly in all directions. If flam-
mable materials or gases are nearby, this could
cause a fire or explosion. Never use the impact
wrench within 50 feet of any flammable material
or gas.
SAFETY DEVICES. Keep in place and in working
order.
VIBRATION PRECAUTIONS. This tool generates
a lot of vibration that can cause long-term physical
damage to the hands, arms, and shoulders. To
reduce the risk of these injuries:
Do NOT use this tool if you are pregnant or
have previous hand or arm injuries, impaired
blood circulation to the hands, arms, or
shoulders, nervous disorders, or suffer from
Raynaud's Disease.
If you feel tingling, numbness, or discolor-
ation to the fingers or hands, STOP using this
tool and seek medical attention.
Smoking reduces blood circulation to the
hands and fingers. Do not smoke prior or dur-
ing use of this tool.
Wear gloves that are designed to reduce the
effects of vibration.
Take frequent vibration-free breaks.
Grip tool as lightly as possible while still main-
taining safe control.
