differentowsettingsandmayincreasethedryingoutof
airways.Thisproductistobeusedasanoxygensupplement
andisnotintendedtobelifesupportingorlifesustaining.

direction(counterclockwise)

9.UsetheswitchFtoselectoneofthefollowingmodes:
•ContinuousFlowL
•ConservingPulseM
Theconserverislabeled“CONTINUOUS”and
“PULSE”.
Therstthreeows(0.25,0.50and0.75L/min)
areincontinuousmodeatalltimes,regardless
oftheswitchposition.
10.TurnowdialuntiltheindicatorwindowEisaligned
withtheprescribedsetting.
Whentherearetwonumbersdisplayedinthe
indicatorwindow,thelargernumberisthe
PULSEowsettingandthesmallernumberis
theCONTINUOUSowsetting.

11.Breathethroughthenoseandfeelapulseofoxygen
asyouinhale.
Whenonapulsesetting,thereisow,ora
pulse,onlyatthebeginningofeachbreath.If
youdonotfeelthepulseatthebeginningof
eachbreath,checkthesetting.
Becauseeachpatient’sbreathingpatternis
differentandtheenvironmentvaries,itmaybe
difculttofeelsomelowsettingpulses.
Ifoperatingthecylinderbelow1.7ºC(35ºF)
usethe2L/Mincontinuoussettingonly.
Whentheunitisrstswitchedfrompulseto
continuousow,asingleinhalationisrequired
toinitiatethecontinuousow.
