2. ICE MAKER OPERATION
Making Ice “Ice @ Door”
•
Tomakeicecubes,pullouttheiceshelvesandpourwaterontheshelves(Figure1).Thenplaceintheiroriginalpositionuntilyouheara“click”sound.
WARNING. Fillonlywithpotablewater.
WARNING. Make sure the level of water in the shelf is even on
theentiresurface,guidingyourselfwithpointingarrowsonFigure2.
Watermustnotsurpassthislevelasitcangetspilledwhenopening
orclosingdoor.
• Theicemakertakesaround4hourstoproduceicecubes.Checkthe
icestatusthroughthetransparentpanel.
• Toremoveicecubes,carefullypullthedrawerlever(Figure3).Theice
cubeswillfallintotheicecontainer(Figure4).
WARNING. Refrain from pulling the lever before ice cubes have
beencompletelymade,asthiscancausewatertospill,freeze,andcause
thecontainertosticktotheIcemaker(Figure5).Ifwaterspills,immediatelywipeitoffwithacloth.Avoidheavy
iceaccumulationinthecontainerasthiscancauseproblemstomovetheleverand/orcontainer.
3. THAWING
Thawingoccursautomatically,youdo notneedtoworry aboutthis.Thawedwaterwillowintothe evaporation
shelfatthebackoftherefrigerator.
4. AUTO CHECK
Your refrigeratorhasthe capacityofautochecking.If anyfailurecomes to
happenacodewillbedisplayedtohelpthetechnicianforitsrepairing.While
thiscodeis on display,therestofthefunctions ofcontrolavisualizingwill
notbefunctioning.
NOTE: In the temperature controls, the code is represented with a no
consecutiveblinkingoftheLED(lefttoright/downtoup)aswouldbeinthe
normalmode.

5. TEMPERATURE CONTROL SETTINGS
• Refrigerator temperaturewill alwaysbe the same, despite ambient temperaturechanges.We recommendnottochange thetemperatureadjustments
aftertheyhavebeensetunlessitisnecessary.Thisrefrigeratorcontainsabuttonwhichcontrolstherefrigerator’stemperatureandaknobtocontrolthe
freezer’stemperature.
• Thecorrecttemperaturecongurationfortherefrigeratorcompartmentshouldbe37,4°F(3°C).
• Thecorrecttemperaturecongurationforthefreezercompartmentshouldbe-2,2°F(-19°C).
• Therefrigeratorcompartmentcontainsatemperaturesensorwhichwillautomaticallystartandstopthecompressorfunctionsasneeded.
5.1 External Temperature Control(insomemodels)
•Refrigerator:Monitorstherefrigeratortemperature.Externaltemperaturecontrol,Figure6,(certainmodels).
DOOR ALARM:Youwillhearanalarmwhentherefrigeratororfreezerdoorstaysopenforoveraminute.Thealarmwillcontinuewiththissoundevery
30seconds.NOTE: Freezeralarmisonlyavailablefor16cubicfeetcapacitymodels.Alarmwillstoponcebothdoorshavebeenshut.Bypressingthe
button,thealarmcanbedeactivated.
FAST FREEZING:Oncethisbuttonispressed,therefrigeratorwillbegintocoolatfullpowertoamaximumoftwo2hours.Pressingthebuttonasecond
timewilldeactivatethemechanism.Thisfeaturewillnotbeavailableif“ECOFRIENDLY”ison.
HYGIENE FRESH:Thisfunctionwillkeepcleanyourrefrigeratorforalongerperiodoftime, thisltereliminatesbacteriasandbadodorsinsideyour
refrigerator.Foritsactivationpressthebuttonandtheiconwillbeilluminatedalsothelterlightwillbeon.
REFRIGERATOR: Thisfeatureallowsyoutoadjusttherefrigeratortemperature.Thenumberappearingonthescreenwillmatchthedegreesoftheinside
oftherefrigerator.Youcanchoosefrom5differentsettings,from0°Cto6°C(32°Fto42,8°F).
ECO FRIENDLY:Bypressingthisbuttontherefrigeratorwillworkwithminimalpower,reducingthetimeitisspentusedandenergyconsumption.This
featurewillnotactivateif“FASTFREEZING”ison.

1. SHELVES
Theshelvesofyourrefrigeratorcanbeadjustedtocomplywithyourstoragenecessities;dependingonthemodelyouhaveitcanincludeglassshelvesorplastic
shelves.Storingyourfoodstogetherandadjustingtheshelvestodifferentheightswillhelpyoutolocatewhatyouneedinaneasierway.Thisalsohelpsyour
refrigeratortostayshutlongerwhichwillsaveyouenergy.
IMPORTANT:While your refrigeratorglassshelvesare cold donot clean with hot or warm water.The glass shelvesmay break if they’reexposedtorapid
temperaturechanges orhardimpacts. For your safety theglass shelves are made out of tempered glass sowhen atbreaking they will fracture intotiny
fragments.
NOTE:
Becarefulwhilemovingorrelocatingtheshelves,theyareheavy.Ifmovingtheshelvesisrequiredkeepinmindtolocatetheminasafeenvironment
topreventthemfrombreaking.
Shelf Refrigerator
Inordertoremovetherefrigeratorshelvesfollowthenextinstructions.
NOTE:Becarefulwhenyouremovethe
shelvesfromtherefrigerator,becausethey
aresecuredtotherefrigeratorwalls.
1. Taketheshelffromtheback.
2. Lift it from the bottom by using the

Ifyouneedtoremovetheshelfofthefreezer,

1. Toremovethebasket,raiseitandpullitout.
2. Toreplacethebasketagainslideitonthedesirableguideandpushit
downuntilitistighten(Youwilllistena“tick”).
WARNING. Someonecouldgethurtifthebasketsarenotwellassembled.DONOTallowchildrenplaywithbaskets.
Sharpcornersonbasketcouldcauseinjury.
NOTE:Emptythefoodchargebeforeyoumovethedoorbasket.
• Compartment “2 in 1 box” / Vegetables and Fruits Compartment (insomemodels)
Evenwiththedooropen,warmaircannotaffectthefreshnesszone,soyoucankeepinitthestorefoodmorefresh.
Thecompartmentshouldbecorrectlyclosed,becausehavingthedooropencouldaffectthe

2. Put2lbs(0,907Kg)offrozenice(makesureyouusegloves)foreachsquarefoot(28L)insidethefreezer.Thistask
willpreservethefoodfor2to4days.Whilehandlingdryice(CO2),wearglovestoprotectyourhandsfromfrostbite.

Themagiccrisperallowsabetterpreservationofyourfruitsandvegetablesallowingto
easilycontrolthelevelifhumidityinside.Ithasaventlocatedintheinnerwallofthe
lidtolethumidityinorout.
Toremovethevegetabledrawer,followthenextinstructions:
1. Slipoutthedrawertowardstheoutsideuntilitstops.
2. Slightlyliftthefrontpartandpulltherest,inordertocompletelyremovethedrawer.
3. Torelocatethedrawerslipouttowardsthefrontuntilitstops.
• Compartment “Ice Home Bar” (certain models)
Inordertoobtaintheicewithoutopeningthedoor,openthe‘HomeBar’dooronlybypressingthe“PUSH”button(locatedatthedoorofthe“HomeBar”).
WARNING. Whenthedoorofthe“HomeBar”isopen,children
might harm themselves when walking around; to avoid any
damage,avoidchildrentoplaywithornearthe“HomeBar”.
3. WATER CONTAINER (somemodels)
Yourrefrigeratorhasasystemthatallowsyouhavingcoldwaterwithoutopeningrefrigeratordoor.Fordispensingwater,pushbackwardthe
dispenserleverwithaglassuntilthewaterows.
NOTE: Afterusingyourdispenser,itisnormalifsomedropsfall,youcanreducethisbyremovingslowlytheglassfromthelever.
3.1 Water Tank Cleaning
Forcleaningthewatertankofyourdispenser,followthenextsteps:
• Takethewatertankwithbothhandsandpullitouttoyou,thiswillremoveitfromrefrigerator(Figure15).
• Oncethetankisuninstalledfromthedoor,liftuptheholdersofthelidandtakeitout(Figure16).
• Washthetankwithwateranddonotusedetergentsorcleanerswithodor,afterthis,drywithapieceofcloth(seeFigure17).
• Finally,alignthelidwiththewatertank(seegure18),thenclosetheholders(seeFigure19),youmustlistena“click”,thismeansthatthelidhasbeen
correctlyassembled.
3.2 How install the Water Tank
Forinstallingthetankinitsoriginalposition(inrefrigerator’sdoor),followthenextinstructions:
• Takethewatertankandinsertthevalveintheholeoftherefrigerator(Figure20).
• Putthetankovertheguidesandpushitdown(Figure21).
3.3 Filling Water Tank

orsupplythetankwithwater,followtheinstructionsbelow:
• Withthetankalreadyassembledintherefrigerator,liftthetank’slidanduseaglassorjarforllupthetank(seeFigure22).
• Closethelidbypushingandreleaseuntilyouheara“click”,thismeansthatthelidwascorrectlyclosed(Figure23).
• Dispense 2 or 3 times to purge the system.
3.4 Water Dispenser Tray
•
Traycanbeeasilyremovedbypressingovertheword“PUSH”inanyofboth
extremes(Figure24).
• Toplacethetraybackintherefrigerator,justpositionitinitsoriginallocation
(Figure25).
4. HYGIENE FRESH FILTER
CAUTION.BeforeinstallingorusingtheproductmakesuretoreadtheOwner’sManualcarefullytousetheproductaccuratelyasintended.ThisHygiene
Freshlterhastheantibacterialfunctionofremovingthevirusorbacteriainsidetherefrigeratorandthedeodorizerfunctiontoremovethescent.
Lifeofthelterisabout1to2years,itmayvaryaccordingtotheuseprovidedbythecustomer.
• For removing the existing filter:
Filtermustbereplacedwhentheicon“RESET”isilluminated(Figure26),forproceedingwiththereplacementfollowthenext
steps:
1. Press“HYGIENEFRESH”buttonuntiljustthewordRESETison(Figure27).
2. Hold the ltercoverand rotate counterclockwise to take it off from the refrigerator(Figure28). After this, removethe
cartridgefromthecover(Figure29).
• For installing the new filter:
1. Takethenewcartridgeandinsertitinsidethecover,the
text“BACK”mustbeplacedindirectiontoyou,otherwise
thecartridgewillnotbeassembledinthecover(Figure30).
2. Puttheltercoverinitsoriginalpositionandthenturnit
clockwisetolockthecovertotherefrigerator.
NOTE: Youcanpurchasethenewcartridgeatthenearest
servicecenter.
After you placed the new cartridge you can adjust the time for the next replacement. Close the refrigerator’s door and press the button
“HYGIENEFRESH”inthecontrolpanelformorethan5seconds,theicon“RESET”mustbeturnedoff(Figure31).

• Ifyouaregoingtostoreicecreamforalongperiodoftime,placeitonthefreezergridandnotonthefreezerdoor.
• Alwayscleanthefoodbeforeplacingthemintherefrigerator.Washanddrythefruitsandvegetables.Keepfreshfoodintherefrigerator.
• Whenstoringeggsalwaysplacetheminthehighestshelforintherstgridinordertokeepthemfreshforalongerperiodoftime.
• Throwawayanyfoodthatisbeingdecomposed;itmaycontaminateotherfoods.
• Storecoldcuts,cheeseandsausagesinbagsorplasticsealedcontainers.

un“click”.
ADVERTENCIA. Llenarconaguapotablesolamente.

supercie, tome como guíalasechas posicionadas en laparteinteriorde la misma (Figura
2).Elaguanodebesobrepasarestenivelyaquepuedederramarsealabrirocerrarlapuerta.
• Lafábricadehielostardaalrededorde4horasenhacercubosdehielos.Compruebeelestado
delhieloatravésdelaventanatransparente.
• Pararetirarloscubosdehielo,sujetelapalancadelabandejaytiredeellaconcuidado,veala

3. DESHIELO
Eldeshieloserealizaautomáticamente,porloquenotienequepreocuparseporésto;elaguadedeshielouyehacialacharola
(caja)deevaporaciónenlapartetraseradelrefrigerador.
4. AUTO CHEQUEO
Surefrigeradortieneincorporadaunacapacidaddediagnóstico.Sisedesarrolla
una falla, mostrará un código de error para ayudar al técnico  de reparación.
Mientrassemuestreestecódigo,lasdemásfuncionesdecontrolyvisualización
nofuncionarán.

3. CONTENEDOR DE AGUA(algunosmodelos)
Surefrigeradorcuentaconunsistemaquelepermiteteneraguafríasinnecesidaddeabrirlapuertadelrefrigerador. Paradispensaragua,
soloempujehaciaatráslapalancadeldispensadorconunvasohastaqueelaguasalga.
NOTA:Despuesdedespacharagua,lacaídadealgunasgotasesnormal,ustedpuedereducirestoretirandoelvasolentamentedelapalanca.
3.1 Limpieza del Contenedor de Agua
Paralimpiarelcontenedordeaguadesudispensadorrealicelossiguientespasos:
• Tomeelcontenedorconambasmanosyjaleendirecciónhaciaustedpararetirarlodelrefrigerador(Figura15).
• Unavezqueelcontenedorestádesinstaladodelapuerta,levantelatapaporalgunosdelosextremosyretírela(Figura16).
• Enjuagueelcontenedorconabundanteaguaynorecurraadetergentesuotroslimpiadoresconolor,déspuesdeesto,séqueloconunpaño(Figura17).
• Porúltimo,alineelatapaconelcontenedor(veaFigura18)ypresionehastaescucharun“click”,estosignicaquelatapahasidoensambladacorrectamente
(Figura19).
3.2 Como colocar el Contenedor de Agua
Paracolocarelcontenedorensuposiciónoriginal(enlapuertadelrefrigerador),lleveacabolossiguientespasos:
• Tomeelcontenedoreintroduzcalaválvulaeneloriciodelrefrigerador(Figura20).
• Coloqueelcontenedorsobrelasguíaslateralesypresionehaciaabajo(Figura21).
NOTA: Si el contenedor de agua no está bien
colocado puede haber escurrimiento y no saldrá
aguaporeldispensadordelapuerta.
3.3 Llenado del Contenedor de Agua
Paraabastecerelcontenedorconaguasigalossiguientespasos:
• Conelcontenedoryainstaladoenelrefrigerador,levantelatapadeltanqueyuseunvasoojarraparallenarlo(Figura22).
• Paracerrarlatapa,bájelaypresiónela,sueltehastaqueescucheun“click”,estosignicaquelatapaseencuentracorrectamentecerrada(Figura23).
• Dispense de 2 a 3 veces para purgar el sistema.
NOTA:
 Evite llenar el contenedor a tope para que no exista
desbordamiento de agua, el nivel máximo se encuentra indicado
ensutanquedeagua.
ADVERTENCIA.Llenar con agua potablesolamente.El uso
deotrasbebidas(talescomocervezas,refrescosolíquidoscon
azúcar)puedeocasionardañosenelsistema.
Sinecesitavaciarelcontenedordeagua,lleveacabolossiguientes
pasos:
•
Retireelcontenedordeaguaysutapa,hagareferenciaalasección
“3.1LimpiezadelContenedordeAgua”.
•Desecheelaguarestante.
•Coloque nuevamente la tapa y ensamble el contenedor en el
refrigerador (Vea sección “3.2 Como colocar el Contenedor de
Agua”).
3.4 Bandeja del Dispensador de Agua
• La bandeja puede ser removida fácilmente, presionando sobre la palabra
“PUSH”encualquieradeambosextremos(Figura24).
• Paravolveracolocarlabandejasolamenteposicionelaensulugar(Figura25).
4. FILTRO DE HIGIENE
PRECAUCIÓN.Antesdeinstalarousarsurefrigerador,asegúresedeleercuidadosamenteelManualdeUsuarioparausaradecuadamentesuproducto.
EsteFiltrodeHigienetienelafunciónantibacterialderemoverlosvirusobacteriasdentrodesurefrigeradorylafuncióndelaromatizanteparaeliminar

• Mueva o instale el refrigerador entre dos o más personas. No seguir estas instrucciones puede

LG Electronics garantiza una asistencia
gratuita a sus productos dentro del perĂ­odo de
garantĂ­a a travĂŠs de sus centros de servicio
autorizados.
1. LG Electronics Inc., garantiza servicio
tĂŠcnico contra cualquier defecto de fĂĄbrica
durante el perĂ­odo de cobertura de
garantĂ­a.
2 .El servicio de garantĂ­a sĂłlo serĂĄ efectuado
en los centros de servicio autorizados.
3. El certificado de garantĂ­a deberĂĄ ser
presentado junto con la factura del
producto.
4. El certificado de garantĂ­a deberĂĄ ser
completado debidamente por el vendedor
al momento de la compra.
5. Todo certificado de garantĂ­a deberĂĄ ser
sellado por el almacĂŠn.
1. DaĂąos causados por accidentes, transporte
uso inadecuado del equipo, uso en
condiciones ambientales deficientes o por
agentes naturales (humedad, fuego, rayos,
etc.)
2. DaĂąos causados por oscilaciones excesivas
en la red elĂŠctrica.
3. Equipos que presenten alteraciones en el
nĂşmero de serie.
4. Equipos expuestos a modificaciones internas
o externas.
5. Se suspenderĂĄ el derecho a la garantĂ­a a aquel
equipo que haya sido revisado por un centro

En el caso de que la fecha de compra del
aparato sea dudosa, el criterio a utilizar
para determinar la duraciĂłn de la garantĂ­a
serĂĄ 15 meses a partir de la fecha de
fabricaciĂłn (Verificado con base en el
nĂşmero de serie).

El reemplazo de bombillas, filtros o cualquier
otra parte consumible.
•
Las bandejas, repisas, gavetas o cajones,
agarraderas y cualquier otro accesorio del
producto. TambiĂŠn se excluyen las partes que
no fueron incluidas originalmente con el producto.
•
En el caso en que no se pueda aplicar el
servicio de garantĂ­a, el tĂŠcnico autorizado
deberĂĄ aclarar el por quĂŠ, analizando y
verificando el caso.
