3.1 Assembly
DANGER!
Danger of death due to electrical energy!
Remove the power plug before carrying out
electrical work on the controller!
Plug the power plug of the controller back in
to a socket only after completing all installa-
tion works. In this way, you can prevent the
motors from starting up accidentally.
NOTICE!
Installation and commissioning should only be
performed by trained specialists.
NOTICE!
Do not use any boiler accessories, soldering
material or wet materials of a mineral oil basis,
mineral oil, hydrocarbon or ethylene glycol ace-
tate. Diluted with at least 30% water, diethylene
glycol, ethylene glycol and propylene glycol can
be used (antifreeze).
NOTICE!
When installing the storage tank charge set in
conjunction with a REMKO MPS storage tank,
the storage tank should be used only for hot
water preparation. In this case, hydraulic sepa-
ration of the MPS storage tank and the heating
circuit system is no longer possible!
Mounting the fresh water station on the storage
tank
Please proceed as follows in order to mount the
unit:
nThere are two threaded sleeves on the
REMKO HPS and MPS series storage tanks.
nOpen the insulation at the corresponding points
and screw the mounting plate tight with the M8
screws included in the scope of delivery.
REMKO Storage tank charging set
8
nScrew the fresh water station to the mounting
plate.
nFasten the cover of the fresh water station.
Mounting the corrugated pipes on the storage
tank
The installation is basically independent of the
position. Connect the fresh water station with the
corresponding corrugated pipes
nThe connections are shown in the pictures in
the "Hydraulic connection" chapter.
nFit the reduction nipple as well as the T-piece
and connection bracket to the storage tank.
nUse the supplied corrugated pipes and reduc-
tion nipples.
nRemove the insulation and shorten the corru-
gated pipes to the required length.
nUse the supplied snap rings to fix the corru-
gated pipes
You can find a description of how to shorten the
corrugated pipe and create a sealing surface in the
next section.
Shortening the pipe
Proceed as follows to shorten the corrugated pipes
to suit fitting on the left or right side of the storage
tank: (A suitable pipe cutter is required)
nDetermine the necessary length of the corru-
gated pipe to be shortened.
nTo shorten, place the pipe cutter with the cut-
ting surface in the recess of the corrugated
pipe. Do not attach the pipe cutter too tightly.
9
nRemove the burr on the cutting edge.
nPush the union nut over the corrugated tube.
nTo create a suitable sealing surface, place the
C-shaped insert ring over the corrugated pipe.
To create the sealing surface, 1-2 corrugations
of the corrugated pipe are required.
nUse the double nipple supplied to create the
sealing surface.
Screw the union nut and the double nipple
“without a gasket” tightly together using a suit-
able tool (open-ended spanner) until a suffi-
cient sealing surface is created. Undo the
double nipple again.
The resulting sealing surface must be smooth
and even.
nEquip the end of the corrugated tube with a flat
gasket (included in delivery) and fit it to the
selected position of the RFSS valve using the
union nut .
nCheck all detachable connections of the RFSS
valve for possible leaks.
