IN TRO DUC TION:Parker- Hannifin, Air borne Di vi sion, has is sued Serv ice Let ter Number 48, to ad vise

op era tors that a pre ma ture fail ure of the flexi ble cou pling may oc cur. It is rec om mende d that the flexi -

ble cou pling on above listed S/N air craft be re placed in ac cor dance with Air borne Serv ice L et ter Num -

ber 48 within the above time of compliance.

IN STRUC TIONS:

1.Re fer to Air borne Serv ice Let ter Num ber 48 for spe cific in spec tion and re place-

ment pro ce dures.

2.MAC rec om mends the fol low ing op era tional cau tions be used un til full com pli-

ance with Air borne Serv ice Let ter Num ber 48 has been done.

M20J and M20R -- On the above S/N air craft -- Dis able the Stand- by

Vac uum pump. Plac ard the Switch and the Cir cuit Breaker for the Stand-

by Vac uum Pump on each of the above listed S/N air craft.

On the S/N air craft listed above, the Pri mary Vac uum pump is ei ther ex-

cluded from Air borne’s S/N range or is from an other manu fac turer and is

unaf fected by the Air borne Serv ice Let ter.

M20K -- On the above S/N air craft -- Dis able the Stand- by Vac uum pump.

Plac ard the Switch and the Cir cuit Breaker for the Stand- by Vac uum

Pump on each of the above listed S/N airac raft.

Do not fly in IMC/IFR condi tions.

Both the Pri mary and the Stand- by Vac uum are af fected Air borne Pumps.

3.Com ply with Air borne Serv ice Let ter Num ber 48 as soon as pos si ble within

the time con straints of TIME OF COMPLIANCE.
