Safety Information
WARNING: This product is intended to filter tap water only.
WARNING: Do not put water of unknown quality into the pitcher
WARNING: Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe
or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after
the system.
WARNING: Only use water between 33°F (0.5°C) to 85°F (29.4°C).
WARNING: Before using the filter picture for the first time, check
that the contents are complete, then wash and rinse the lid, inner
vessel, and pitcher.

NOTE: Change your filter about every 2 months for healthier, great-tasting
water (about 2 months for the average family).

Installing the filter in the pitcher
□ Ensure that the pitcher is clean.
□ Soak the new filter in water for 10 minutes.
□ Rinse the filter under running water for 10 seconds.
□ Place the filter into the center of the pitcher.
□ Pour water into the pitcher until full and then discard the water.
Repeat this step one more time.
NOTE: It is normal for carbon and resin dust to appear during this step.
□ Fill the pitcher a third time. The filter is now ready for use.

and certified by the WQA against: NSF/ANSI
Standard NO. 42 Aesthetic effects for the
reduction of Chlorine (taste & odor).
The reduction claim made above is only good with
HDX™ Pitcher (Model# QP8-07).
