OPERATION
PUSH CART
IMPORTANT:Leavethelatchlockclevispininplaceatall
timeswhileusingthecartasapushcart.Theclevispin
isshowningure1onpage5.
1. Toconvertthecartforpushoperation,removethe4"long
clevispinandhaircotterpinwhichsecurethetongue
inthetowingposition.(Seegure10onpage7.)Pivot
thefronttongueintothestoragepositionunderneath
thereartongueandsecureitusingthe4"longclevispin
andhaircotterpin.(Refertogure5onpage6.)Place
theplasticcapovertheexposedendofthetongue.
2. Forbesthandlingandtohelppreventaccidentaltipping,
distributetheweightoftheloadevenlyinthecart.
3. Donotloadmoreweightintothepushcartthanyou
canhandleandcontrolcomfortably.
4. To dump material from the push cart, lift up on the
handleandtiltthecartforward.Be surethatthelatch
mechanismonthetongueislockedandsecuredwiththe
clevispintopreventaccidentalreleaseofthelatch.
CAUTION: TO AVOID POSSIBLE
INJURY, BEFORE RELEASING THE
LATCH BE SURE THAT NO ONE IS
NEAR THE CART.
TOW CART
1. Toconvertthecartfortowing,removetheplasticcap
fromthe tongue.Removethe 4"long clevispin and
hairpincotterwhichsecurethefronttongueinstorage
position underneath the rear tongue. Pivot the front
tongue outward and secure it in the towing position
usingthesameclevispinandhairpincotter.Referto
gure10onpage7.
2. Refertothevehicleownersmanualforinstructionson
safe operation on slopes.
3. Usetheslopeguideprovidedonpage9ofthismanual
todeterminewhetherslopeangleistoosteepforsafe
operation.
4. Alwaystesttomakesure yourtractorhasadequate
towing and braking capabilities whenever hauling a
substantialamount of weightin your cart.Use extra
cautionwhenoperatingonslopes.
CAUTION: VEHICLE BRAKING AND
STABILITY MAY BE AFFECTED WITH THE
ADDITION OF AN ACCESSORY OR AN
ATTACHMENT. BE AWARE OF CHANGING
CONDITIONS ON SLOPES.
5. Forbesthandlingandtraction,distributetheweightof
theloadevenlyinthecart.
6. To dumpmaterial fromthe cart, removethe 1" long
clevispinfromthelatchonthetongueandreleasethe
latch.Thecartbedwillthentiltbackwardstoemptyits
contents.Afteremptying,pullthefrontofthebeddown
towardthecarttongueuntilthelatchsnapsintoplace.
Reinstalltheclevispininthelatchtopreventaccidental
releaseofthelatch.
7. Themaximumtowingspeedforthiscartis10m.p.h.
MAINTENANCE
1. Atthebeginningofeachseason,usingalightmachine
oil,lubricatethelatch,thelatchpivotbolt,andthearea
oftheaxlewherethedrawbartonguepivots.
2. Grease or oil the wheel bearings periodically. Use
automotivewheel bearing type grease or 20 weight
oil.
3. Checkperiodicallyforloosebolts.
4. Keeptiresadequatelylled.Donotexceedthemaximum
recommended pressure on tire.
