Thank you for purchasing the Thermo-Birdbath designed by K&H Pet Products®. The Thermo-Birdbath is
designed to keep water available and ice-free for birds even during the coldest months while using only 80 watts.
After the winter season, always unplug the heater and remove it from the
birdbath. Make sure the heater is dry and properly cleaned before storing it
away in a dry, safe place, out of direct sunlight and away from work areas
where it may become damaged.
For re-installation, always carefully inspect the heater before plugging it in.
Inspect the cord, the housing and the plug for any damage. If you see any
cracking of the cord or other damage, DO NOT USE DEVICE!
Fill your Thermo-Birdbath™ with water, place the heater in the water onto
the circular at area at the bottom and plug the cord into a GFCI outlet.
STORING YOUR THERMO-BIRDBATH™ 80 WATT HEATER:
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions
should always be followed including the following:
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
Have a qualied electrician install a properly grounded outlet,
acceptable for outdoor use and protected from snow and rain
immediately adjacent to the location where the heater will be used. If
your outlet is not a GFCI outlet or if you are unsure, have a qualied
electrician inspect and install one if needed.
Do not use extension cords.
Inspect cord before using. If the cord is damaged do not use.
Unplug heater at receptacle outlet when not in use or before removal
from birdbath.
Store the heater indoors after the winter season.
WARNING:
THE HEATER MUST BE SUBMERGED
UNDER WATER AT ALL TIMES
while it is in use!
