BEUSEDWITHATRANSFORMER.

Beforeeachuseoftheunit,CHECKTHECABLEANDPLUG.Ifdamageisdetected,

donotusetheunit.Haverepairsperformedonlybyaqualifiedtechnician.Never

opentheunityourself.

Ifthemainscableisdamagedorseparatedduringwork,donottouchthecable,

butpullthemainsplugimmediately.Neveroperatetheunitwiththemainscable

damaged.



DANGEROFBURNING

Thehotwirebecomesveryhot.Touchingitaccidentallywillimmediatelyleadto

burns.Theuseofprotectiveglovesisrecommended.

Whenthetoolisconnectedtothemainssupply,thetransformergeneratesheat,

evenwhenthetoolisswitchedoff.

Makesurethatthisheatisproperlydissipatedandthatthereareno

heat‐sensitiveobjectsinthevicinity,whichcouldbecomewarmandthuspresent

apotentialrisk.



Thecuttingoperationproducessmoke.Thissmokecontainssmallquantitiesof

styrene,whicharewellwithinthepermittedmaximumsafelimits.



produced.Theuseofprotectiveeyewearismandatory

Beforesettingup,repairormaintenanceoftheHotWireFoamCutteryouMUST

ALWAYSpullthemainsplug.



 Thetoolisintendedtobeoperatedbyasinglepersonwhoisbothfamiliarwiththetooland

thewayitisoperated.Theuseofprotectiveclothingandglovesisrecommended.(seealso

SafetyAdvice).

 Thewiredoesnotneedtoberedhottomovethroughfoamedplastics.Excessivepower

outputandheatgenerationmaycausethewireholderstooverheatresultingindamageto

theunit.Useonlythepoweroutputforpropercutting.

 Thetoolworksonlowvoltageandshouldonlybeusedwiththeattachedtransformer.

 Thetoolmayonlybeusedwiththesuppliedcuttingwire.

 Allowthewireandthewireholders(springs)tocooldownbeforehandling.Ahotwiremay

causeinjuryorburnstoexposedsurfaces.

 Keephotwireandholdersawayfromskin,clothingandotherflammablematerials.

 Unauthorizedconversionand/ormodificationoftheapplianceisinadmissiblebecauseof

AlwaysunplugthepowercordoftheCUT1000/1200JOYHotWireFoamCutter

beforeinstallingorremovingthewire.



Allowsufficientcoolingtimeforwireandwireholders(springs).



Thecorrectwireinstallationshouldbedonebytwo

persons:whileonepullsatthesametimethetwo

springs(DONOTOVERPULL),theotherputsupthe

wiretothesprings.



NOTE:Forbestresults,practiceonscrappiecesoffoam.



Whencuttingfoam,keeptemperatureandspeedconsistent.

Ifsmokedevelopsduringcuttingoperation,itmeansthatspeedistooloworthewireistoohot,

whichcouldresultinanoversized,unevencut.

Thiscanberelievedbyintermittentlyreleasingthebuttonswitch.Asthecuttingresistanceincreases,

depresstheswitchagain.TheCUT1000/1200JOYHotWireFoamCutterwillreachthedesired

temperaturewithinseconds.

Sooperating,theoptimumcutcanbeaccomplished,withminimalsmoke,alsoprolongingthelifeof

thecuttingtool.



Releasingtheswitchapproximately30÷50mmpriortothecompletionofthecutwillhelpkeepthe

wirecleanandfreefrombuildup.



MAINTENANCE

 Beforesettingup,repairormaintenanceoftheapplianceyouMUSTALWAYSpullthemains

plug.

 Forproperworkandlongerservicelife,alwayskeepthemachineclean.



Correctmaintenanceofthemachinecanprolongitsservicelife.

Thebuttonswitchalwaysbekeptinproperfunctionandgoodmaintenance.

Onceayear,allthenutsandboltsshouldbecheckedand,ifnecessary,tightened.



TheHotWireFoamCuttershouldbecleanedwhenevertheoperationisoverorthecuttingtoolwill

notbeusedforlongtime.

Thewireguiderollersandtheballbearingslidersshouldbecleanedandcheckedtoseeiftheycan

movefreely.

Forcleaningoperationonlyusedrymethods.Donotusesolvents.



ConstantuseoftheHotWireFoamCuttermayresultinmaterialbuilduponwireandwireholders.

Thisexcessmaterialinterfereswiththeproperelectricalandimpairstheperformanceofthewire.

Ifthecuttingwireisverydirty,itshouldbereplaced.

Onlyoriginalsparepartsmustbeusedincaseofreplacement/repair.



DISPOSAL



AccordingtotheDirective2002/96/EConWasteElectricalandElectronicEquipment,

powertoolsthatarenolongerusablemustnotbethrownawaywithdomestic

waste.

Theymustbecollectedseparatelyandrecycledatspecialdisposalcentresprovided

forthepurpose.


