Thank you for purchasing the Ivation® Wine Gift Set. This User Guide is intended to provide you with guidelines to
ensure that operation of this product is safe and does not pose risk to the user. Any use that does not conform to
the guidelines described in this User Guide may void the limited warranty.
Please read all directions before using the product and retain this guide for reference.
This product is intended for household use only.
This product is covered by a limited one-year warranty. Coverage is subject to limits and exclusions.

Safety precautions
This wine gift set is intended for household use only.
The wine opener is intended to extract the corks from standard wine bottles.
Use this product for its intended use only.
Do not operate the appliance with a damaged AC/DC adapter or charging Base. If the AC/DC adapter is
damaged it must be replaced by the manufacturer or a qualified professional.
Do not place the appliance near an open flame, cooking or heating appliance, or hot surface.
This appliance is not intended for use in wet or damp conditions.
Ensure that the power cord is positioned so that it will not get damaged or cause a trip hazard.
Use only the AC/DC adapter and charging base supplied with the appliance.
Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
For indoor use only. Do not expose the wine gift set or charging base to rain or other extreme conditions.
Never force the wine opener onto a bottle or attempt to speed up the mechanism. It will work best when
it is operated at its intended speed.
Do not touch or adjust the wine opener’s mechanism or the corkscrew spiral. Only hold it by its plastic housing.
This appliance contains a rechargeable battery. Do not dispose of the product on a fire as this may
cause an explosion.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
To avoid electric shock, do not open the casing. There are no user serviceable parts inside.
The corkscrew is sharp. Keep body parts (e.g. fingers) and utensils away from the operating end of the
wine opener.

Operation
Charging the Opener and Preserver
It is recommended that the wine opener and wine preserver are charged for at least 12 hours before using it
for the first time. The wine opener can be used to open up to 30 bottles when fully charged. Please follow
the instructions for charging the unit below:
1. Connect the DC power plug into the DC power socket at the back of the charging base.
2. Place the wine opener and wine preserver unit into the charging base.
Ensure that the arrows on the unit and base align with each other so that the electrical connections
are made correctly.
3. Insert the AC/DC adapter into a power outlet and switch on the power.
4. The charging indicator will illuminate blue, indicating that the battery is charging.
It will take 10 to 12 hours to fully charge the battery.
5. Switch off the supply and remove the AC/DC adapter from the outlet. Remove the DC power plug from the
charging base.
Opening a Wine Bottle using the Wine Opener
1. Before extracting the cork, please remove any seal from the bottle using the foil cutter provided (see below).
2. Place the wine opener on top of the wine bottle, making sure that it remains upright at all times. If you
hold the wine opener at an angle to the bottle it will not remove the cork properly.(see below).
3. Hold the wine opener and bottle firmly. Press and hold the pull button ( ).
The corkscrew spiral will turn in a clockwise direction and enter the cork, then gradually remove it from the
bottle. When the mechanism stops, the cork will be visible through the transparent window and the blue
indicator will go off.
4. Lift the wine opener away from the bottle. To remove the cork, simply press and hold the release button ( ).
The spiral will turn in a counterclockwise direction and release the cork (see below).
5. Return the cork remover to the charging base when not in use, so as to protect the mechanism.
6. This wine opener is designed for use with traditional corks, but it may be used with synthetic corks as well.
Synthetic corks are smaller and do not expand like normal corks, so sometimes they may stick on the spiral.
If this happens, hold the cork firmly with a small pair of pliers.
Press the release button ( ) and allow the cork to be slowly released.
Pouring with the Wine Aerator
1. Place the aerator into the bottle neck snugly to allow the wine to pour smoothly without
splashing (see below).
Vacuuming a wine bottle using the Wine Preserver
Not all bottles need to be vacuumed. We recommend that you vacuum bottles in order to keep remaining wine
fresh for 3 to 5 days.
1. Place the wine bottle on a flat surface.
2. Insert a wine stopper into the wine bottle.
3. Hold the wine stopper and wine bottle neck securely in one hand and place the non-slip mouth of the
wine preserver on the wine stopper (see below).
4. Keep the wine preserver as straight as possible and in line with the wine bottle.
5. Push down on the wine stopper while pressing the power “on” button at the same time.
6. The wine preserver will remove the air from the bottle while making a clacking noise.
7. The clacking noise will become slower and stop suddenly after 20 seconds. Do not release the power button
until the unit stops.
8. Remove the wine preserver and replace it on the charging base until it is needed again.
9. If the non-slip mouth attaches itself to the wine stopper, hold the wine stopper and the neck of the bottle
securely in one hand and tilt the wine preserver away from the wine stopper to break the suction.
This should prevent air from re-entering the bottle.
Repeat the above operating process if necessary.
Note: If the bottle has more than half of its wine remaining, only one session should be needed.
For less than half a bottle, we suggest you repeat the above process a second time.
Setting Date Indicators
1. Use the “ ” symbol to indicate the date when the bottle was sealed with your wine preserver.
2. Gently swivel the silver ring left or right until the correct date is in line with the “ ” symbol (see below).
Reopening a Sealed Bottle
1. Firmly hold the bottle in one hand and gently ease the wine stopper away from the bottle with the other hand.
2. Store the wine stoppers in a clean safe place until they are needed again.
Care and maintenance
After Use

fresh for 3 to 5 days.
1. Place the wine bottle on a flat surface.
2. Insert a wine stopper into the wine bottle.
3. Hold the wine stopper and wine bottle neck securely in one hand and place the non-slip mouth of the
wine preserver on the wine stopper (see below).
4. Keep the wine preserver as straight as possible and in line with the wine bottle.
