Read the instructions, keep them safe, pass them on if you pass the appliance on.

Remove all packaging before use.

A IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS

Follow basic safety precautions, including:

1 This appliance must only be used by or under the supervision of a responsible adult. Use and

store the appliance out of reach of children.

2 Don’t put the appliance in liquid, don’t use it in a bathroom, near water, or outdoors.

3 Don’t open the appliance till the blades have stopped moving.

4 Unplug the appliance before ﬁtting or removing attachments.

5 Don’t leave the appliance unattended while plugged in.

6 Don’t ﬁll with anything hotter than you can comfortably handle (i.e. liquid temperature

below 40°C).

7 Don’t use accessories or attachments other than those we supply.

8 Don’t use the appliance for any purpose other than those described in these instructions.

9 Don’t use the appliance if it’s damaged or malfunctions.

10 If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or

someone similarly qualiﬁed, in order to avoid hazard.

C PREPARATION

1 Unplug the appliance.

2 Lift the motor unit oﬀ the bowl. Lift the processing lid oﬀ the bowl.

3 Hold the blade unit by the plastic part.

4 Lower the blade unit over the spindle in the bottom of the bowl.

5 You may have to turn it slightly, to ﬁt over the ﬂanges on the spindle.

6 It’s spring-loaded, so you’ll feel some resistance as you push it down.

7 Put the food in the bowl.

a) Don’t try to chip ice, don’t try to chop raw meat, and take great care with the blades.

b) Don’t ﬁll above max.

c) Don’t process hard foods – i.e. anything you can’t cut easily with a kitchen knife.

d) Don’t chop big bits – maximum 18mm cubes.

8 Align the central hole in the processing lid with the top of the blade unit, and lower the lid on

to the bowl.

9 Lower the motor unit on to the processing lid.

10 You may have to turn it slightly, to engage the top of the blade unit.

11 Put the plug into the power socket.

12 Press the switch to start the motor, release it to switch oﬀ.

13 It’s best to run the motor in bursts of a few seconds, and inspect the results between bursts.

14 Don’t run the motor for more than 1 minute, or it may overheat. After 1 minute, switch oﬀ for

at least 3 minutes, to let the motor cool.

C DONE?

12 Unplug the appliance.

13 Lift the motor unit oﬀ the bowl. Lift the processing lid oﬀ the bowl.

14 Put a ﬁnger on top of the blade unit, to stop it falling out.

15 Tip the processed contents out of the bowl.

16 Alternatively, hold the plastic part of the blade unit, turn it to free it from the spindle ﬂanges,

and lift it straight up and out of the bowl.

17 Fit the storage lid to the bowl.

C CARE AND MAINTENANCE

18 Unplug before dismantling or cleaning.

19 Lift the motor unit oﬀ the bowl. Lift the processing lid oﬀ the bowl.

20 Hold the plastic part of the blade unit, turn it to free it from the spindle ﬂanges, and lift it

straight up and out of the bowl.

21 Wipe the outside of the motor unit with a clean damp cloth.

22 Wash the removable parts in warm soapy water, rinse well, drain, and air dry.

23 Clean the inside of the blade unit with a toothpick.

24 Don’t put any part of the appliance in a dishwasher.

H ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION

To avoid environmental and health problems due to hazardous substances in electrical

and electronic goods, appliances marked with this symbol mustn’t be disposed of with

unsorted municipal waste, but recovered, reused, or recycled.

coriander pesto

2 h coriander leaves 2 c garlic 60 g pine nuts

125 m olive oil 60 g Parmesan, grated

Process the coriander, garlic, pine nuts and half the oil till smooth. Transfer to a large bowl.

Stir in the Parmesan. Add oil to adjust the consistency: For a dip: thick. For a topping: medium.

For pasta sauce: thin.

16 Alternativ, prindeţi partea din plastic a lamelor, rotiţi-o pentru a o elibera de pe ﬂanşele

C ÎNGRIJIRE ŞI ÎNTREŢINERE

18 Scoateţi-l din priză înainte de demontare şi/sau curăţare

19 Ridicaţi unitatea motorului de pe vas. Ridicaţi capacul de procesare de pe vas.

20 Prindeţi partea din plastic a lamelor, rotiţi-o pentru a o elibera de pe ﬂanşele axului şi

ridicaţi-o pentru a o scoate din vas.

21 Ştergeţi exteriorul unităţii motorului cu o cârpă umedă curată.

22 Spălaţi părţile mobile cu apă caldă cu detergent, clătiţi bine, scurgeţi şi lăsaţi la uscat.

23 Curăţaţi interiorul unităţii lamelor cu o scobitoare.

24 Nu spălaţi nicio componentă a aparatului în maşina de spălat vase.

H PROTEJAREA MEDIULUI

Pentru a evita probleme de mediu şi sănătate cauzate substanţele periculoase din

aparatele electrice şi electronice, aparatele marcate cu acest simbol nu trebuie aruncate

direct la gunoi, ci trebuie recuperate, refolosite sau reciclate.

60 g Parmezan, ras

Procesaţi coriandrul, usturoiul, seminţele de pin şi jumătate din cantitatea de ulei până când se

înmoaie. Transferaţi amestecul într-un castron mare. Adăugaţi parmezanul şi amestecaţi.

Adăugaţi ulei pentru a ajusta consistenţa. Pentru sos: consistent. Pentru garnitură: mediu. Pentru

sos de paste: subţire.
