Adjusting saw level: Your mobile base can be leveled
to the floor by raising or lowing the adjusting feet.
Move the saw to the location you wish to use it.
Disengage the castor assembly. If the saw rocks on
the floor, the adjusting foot not touching the floor can
be lowered or the foot in contact can be raised to
compensate.
Adjusting stabilizing legs: If you have stabilizing legs
in place, for the slide table accessory, it will be neces-
sary to adjust them for use with the mobile base.
STEP 11. Place saw on base. Use extreme caution when
lifting. Use two people to lift saw. Insure that castor
assembly is in disengaged position (see Operation
section). Carefully lift the saw and place it over the car-
riage bolts, through the round holes in the feet, and
onto the base.
STEP 12. Secure base to saw (Fig. 9).
You will need: 4 - 8mm (28mm OD) flat washers
4 - 8mm lock washers
4 - 8mm nuts
Insure that the square portion of the 8 x 40mm car-
riage bolts are still engaged to the square holes in the
base (try spinning the bolt with your fingers.) Add a
flat washer, lock washer, and nut to each bolt and
tighten securely. Roll the saw over and off the card-
board spacers.
Operation
• To move your saw, depress the foot pedal to engage
the castor assembly (Fig. 10A). Saw can now be eas-
ily be moved to a new location.
• Disengage castor assembly by raising the foot pedal
(Fig. 10B), allowing the adjusting feet to contact the
floor surface.
• Always disengage the castor assembly and make sure
the mobile base is in full contact with the floor before
you operate your DW746 Woodworker’s Table Saw.

STEP 1. Remove one leg at a time. Do not remove both
legs at the same time. With the table saw installed on
the mobile base, remove the hardware holding a sta-
bilizing leg in place. Remove the leg and reverse it so
that the slots with the ID mark between them are now
down. Place leg back over the M8x55 hardware.
Secure leg in place with removed hardware. Tighten
loosely. Repeat for the second stabilizing leg.
STEP 2. Adjust stabilizing leg height by sliding them
down until they contact the floor. Tighten hardware
securely.
