Setting up ECO-100 for Use
1. Unthread fill cap to verify ECO-100 vessel is completely empty and free of all debris then
rethread fill cap to a “snug” hand tight fit.
Lubricate fill cap threading as needed to prevent “thread chatter” during the treading
and unthreading process.
The aluminum threading of the fill cap is hardened, anodized coated. This ensures long
life of the threading. Using the palm of your hand, push downwards, when threading
and unthreading fill cap; this will prevent “chattering” of threads.
2. Connect air hose to (customer supplied) compressor. Treated (clean, cool, dry) air is required to
operate the ECO-100 properly. If compressor does not have an air drying system built-in,
connect an ECO-Aire® air drying system (sold separately).
3. Connect air hose and blast hose. Always make sure to use safety cables and safety clips when
making these connections
4. Connect the red, black, and semi-clear blue poly lines at the coupler-side of the blast hose to the
connections (unions) next to the abrasive flow valve. Make these connection color-to-color.
Black and Red poly lines: For pneumatic control handle and control all
pneumatic systems inside control panel.
Semi-clear blue poly line: Carries water up the side of blast to the Vapor-Flex
nozzle.
5. Connect garden hose, with house pressure water flow, to ¾” garden hose connection, if water is
required for cleaning or blasting process (dustless/vapor blasting). If worksite does not have
running water, or a rust inhibitor needs be added into the water, then connect H2O To GO (sold
separately) to a gravity fed water tank (sold separately).
Preparing to Clean/Blast
1. Once all connections to ECO-100 have been made, start compressor and energize blast hose.
2. Activate pneumatic control handle and dial in desired cleaning/blasting pressure by turning
tank/blast pressure regulator knob.
The ECO-100 is a “pressure relief vessel”. This means, even if airline is energized, the
system will not have tank pressure until pneumatic control handle is activated. This
means that pneumatic control handle must be activated to find desired
cleaning/blasting pressure.
3. Unthread fill cap and insert funnel/screen to fill vessel with abrasive. The system will accept up
to 55lbs of abrasive (1 cuft). Once vessel is full, rethread fill cap lid to a “snug” hand tight fit.
4. Activate pneumatic control handle while slowing turning abrasive metering knob to find desired
abrasive flow. In most applications just a fine mist of abrasive is needed.
5. If needed, now activate water flow by turning water flow ball valve on the ECO-100.
6. Start cleaning/blasting.
