Updating the PAX S920
Your merchant profile is maintained by Product Ops Integration (Contact
ProductOpsIntegration@e-hps.com or (888) 909-8498 for assistance). If an update is needed,
Product Ops Integration will update your merchant profile with requested changes and
maintenance updates. When complete, Product Ops Integration will "push" the change to the
PAX S920.
In order for a PAX device to receive an update from BroadPOS/ Product Ops Integration it must
be clear of transactions and power cycled. For example, there is an update pending for a PAX
device. After it has completed auto batching, unplug the devices power adapter for 10 seconds
then plug it back in.
Common change requests are typically around IP address and Networking for the PAX device,
along with adding, changing or removing merchant card types. Please contact Product Ops
Integration for further information on configuration options.

Transaction Finalizing and Adjustments
As of Dinerware version 4.0.0.731 or higher transactions can now be finalized and adjusted from any
Workstation that is configured with a PAX device.
The following conditions must be met for this functionality to work correctly:
Each Dinerware Workstation has its PIN pad settings configured with an IP Address for a PAX
device.
All PAX devices are properly configured and on the same network as the Workstations.
All PAX devices share a Device ID which is configurable on BroadPOS by Product Ops
Integration (ProductOpsIntegration@e-hps.com or (888) 909-8498).
All PAX devices have a Unique Device ID assigned which is configurable on BroadPOS by
Product Ops Integration (ProductOpsIntegration@e-hps.com or (888) 909-8498).
Note: Transactions will only display locally on the devices that they originated on and only for the
initial sale amount requested. Tips, adjustments, voids etc. will not be viewable on the PAX
device(s) itself. To view and reference transaction please use Dinerware or logon to the
Heartland Portico Gateway
Transaction Batching/End of Day
This section contains helpful definition for auto batching and EOD (End of Day) procedures.
Auto batching: This is the PAX Autobatch process that automatically settles merchant transactions daily
at the same time.
PAX S920: By default, sites are configured for Auto Batching at 2:00AM daily local time. This setting is
controlled by the Broad POS profile, which is managed by the Special Product Team. At the specified
time, transactions are automatically transmitted by the PAX S920 and settled.
Note: Verify that each PAX device has its local time set correctly.
Setup Guide Template
A Global Payments Company Page 12
Dinerware: By default, sites are configured for EOD at 2:02AM daily local time. Dinerware will mark
transactions as settled independently of PAX.
This needs to match the time of the PAX device(s). To set the EOD in Dinerware, navigate to Manager to
System to Time to Start New Business Day at to Set to 02:00:00AM.
To change the EOD on the PAX device send a request to Product Ops Integration
(ProductOpsIntegration@e-hps.com or (888) 909-8498). Product Ops Integration then configures the
account on BroadPOS for the requested time.
Note: Ensure that the chosen time for EOD/Auto Batching is set late enough in the day that users will
have the necessary time to finalize transactions and assign tips as users will not be able to modify any
transactions once they have been batched and settled.
