winder’s two Alignment Pins fit into the holes in the camera’s base.
3. Turn the winder’s Lock Key (A) clockwise to secure the winder to the camera body, and then fold
the Lock Key down into the winder.
During use, periodically check that the winder is still securely attached to the camera body
by turning the Lock Key clockwise.
Using the Power Winder II RZ with RZ67 Series Lenses
1. Load a Film Insert with a roll of film and align the film’s Start Mark with the Film Insert’s Start
Mark.
You do not need to advance the film to the first frame, the winder will do that automatically.
2. Place the Film Insert into a Roll Film Holder, and then install the Roll Film Holder on the camera
body.
3. Turn the winder’s Power Switch to its ON position.
4. Push, and then release, the winder’s Start Button, Fig. 7.
The film will advance to the first frame.
While the film is advancing, the winder’s Battery Test LED will remain on.
The camera’s Shutter Release Button will be deactivated until the film is advanced to the first
frame.
5. After the film has advanced to the first frame, press the camera’s Shutter Release Button. The
Power Winder II RZ will advance the film to the next frame, cock the lens’ shutter and move the
camera’s mirror to its down position.
6. When all the film has been exposed, 10 frames for 120 film and 20 frames for 220 film, the
winder will automatically wind the film on the take-up spool, and then stop.
Continuous exposures can be made by holding down the camera’s Shutter Release Button.
If a Roll Film Holder with a partially exposed roll of film is attached to the camera and the winder
does not advance the film, press the winder’s Start Button. If the shutter will not fire after
pressing the Start Button, press the Start Button again.
When the camera’s Release Button Collar is set to Emergency Operation, the winder’s Start
Button must be pressed to advance the film to the next frame.
If the winder’s Start Button is pressed when the camera’s R-M Lever is set to its ‘R’ position, the
winder may stop after the lever returns to its normal, white square, position. If this occurs, press
the Start Button again.
Using the Power Winder II RZ with RB67 Series Lenses
The winder will immediately start winding the film after pressure is released from the camera’s Shutter
Release Button, even if the shutter is still open.
Therefore, do not release the camera’s Shutter Release Button until the shutter operation has competed.
